My birth story.

I started feeling contractions on the 12th of feb around 8pm tho they were not too strong but we decided to go get checked at the hosp so we don't start rushing to the hosp in the midnight.
The nurses checked and told me I have not dillated at all.
They told me to sleep over in the hosp, since it was a 3rd birth that labour can progress swiftly.and my labours are usually short.
I declined and went home.
I woke up around 4.30am on the 13th with stronger contractions.I went to the hosp and was checked again, only to be told my cervix is still up and not opened yet. I was like,wtf, I know wat am feeling.I just told the nurses to get me the doctor, dillation or not.they called d doctor but he refused to come since he has been told I haven't dilated. The contractions were now 3 mins apart and painful.
My husband had to shout the hosp down before doctor came to check me.and again, the doctor said I have not dilated and went back to his office in anger.he even told me to go home and come back next day.this was abt 9am o.
Before I knew it, labour got stronger and I started screaming for the nurses.they refused to come.my husband wnet to the doctors office to bang his door to come and attend to me.that baby is abt to come.he knows the kind of noise I make when baby is almost here.he grudgingly came again and started askin me if I want cs.in the throes of pain? Without being checked if my labour has progressed in anyway?
I didn't even aswer him.I just started pushing.when ie saw me pushing, that was when he now saw baby was crowning.he told me to get up, let's go to delivery room.I told him am not moving an inch.I just kept pushing till I pushed my baby girl out.that was when the doctor and nurses started running up and down to attend to me.because the labour was not guided I had tears.
I had my two previous kids with them and it was pleasant but this particular experience was not. My husband really shouted at the MD and threatened to sue them.they just kept apologising.
I just give God all the glory cos devil tried and failed.
My baby came @ 10am, 3.5kg

olubankemi,Hw u feeling now,?I experience that kinda pain u described at 16weeks,was even given subotamol Bt I guess it wasn't working self cus d pain didn't go away.it actually lasted for abt 5days.just take Ur mind off it,U'll be fyn.

Kokolet007, backpain is very common in pregnancy. You have to rest very well. It really affected me in my first pregnancy. When you want to lift things( thank your stars u are a ftm and dont have any toddler you have to carry around) use your legs n arms instead of your back. i.e go low instead of bending, lift using more arm muscles and stand straight ( u may need to google to get an accurate picture), forget about sweeping; get a vacuum cleaner if you can afford it. Get a good mattress, stop driving for now, get a massage, dont stand too long on your feet, dont sit for too long.
Sit right, walk right, stand right. Dont push your tummy out like we see on TV, you will be putting too much pressure on the back.
Yes, PCM can be used to relieve the pain.
Most importantly, HAVE YOU PAID YOUR DUES? in dollars o

Mine did. But very early on. I was on a plane from Dubai to Los Angeles which was a 16 hour flight. By the time we got to our destination, my feet plus ankles were swollen times three..... I swear, I'm not kidding. I could not walk at all. That was what actually triggered my suspicion about being pregnant.

The doctor at my OBGYN appt warned me that it's gonna continue. And even get worse as I progress. He told me not to sit around for too long and keep it moving. I suggest you do that too

I never buy anything at all.

Mytchyy i had the same problem at 15 and 20 weeks and was told here that its ligament enlargement. Went for several scan and nothing was seen.

Something to laugh today's stress off!

...so I just discovered my baby is very scared of teddy bears. I then bought a whole lots of them and used them to cordone off danger areas such as the Electronics area and the dressing mirror area. Once he heads there and sights any teddy bear,he quickly turns another way. Now, i can take a break from running to carry him anytime he goes there, i can sleep with my 2 eyes closed while he plays and the whole neighbourhood can rest from all the screaming and yelling that comes with trying to carry him whenever he goes dre. LOL
If i don't take care of him, who will?
