FamilyRe: Woman To Divorce Husband Over Bride Price by Lionhearted: 1:58pm On Mar 13, 2015
DollyParton1:
She probably just wants him to do right by her. But she should be clamouring for something of legal binding instead of a stupid bride price that is probably less than a hundred thousand of naira.
What else can be legally binding by paying her ride price?

Common Law/Customary law recognises bride price as an instrument of marriage.

The value of the bride price is inconsequential.

See comments and forming...

If you went to schools with no hostels or you live off campus, chances are that you will use coal pot.

Besides this is common around Kwara/Oyo axis. Charcoal is very cheap there. With just #50 coal you can cook anything with it for three days.

Besides, those things burn really hot, clean and cooks faster once you got the fire started.

And yes I used it. We normally wait for someone to start the fire as it can be pretty difficult to do so then everybody in hostels uses it. We normally leave it burning for days straight.

Christianity EtcRe: Five things Nigerian Pastors do by Lionhearted: 3:10pm On Mar 02, 2015
This remind me of my service year in Edo.

The church I went to then is apparently fond of offerings. At least five offerings if I remembered right.

You will dance and dance and dance to the front for each offering.

But I don't succumb to such. Only one offering each Sunday is enough for me. The rest I will just sit alone while the whole church is dancing their way to the front. Three sundays of doing that some other people started doing like me.

Needless to say the Pastor came to see me in my lodge saying "Corper pls stop doing like this. You are encouraging others to do so too"

And you totally absolved the DOCILE MASSES in all of this?

It's the DUTY of the masses to demand accountability and responsibility from their leaders.

The masses shoulder the GREATER blame.
You are absolutely right.

The masses also need to be responsible and accountable. The sheer number of people using electricity illegally is mind-bugling.

From meter bypassing to downright tapping of electricity. And we want stable light.

Please re-read ur own post again where u quoted me. And please remember u bolded IMO, RIVERS and KANO and said that they where all former PDP governors b4 their defection which I rightly corrected that u are wrong. And please I find it hard to believe that u will be voting Buhari because ur body language suggest otherwise
My bad. And corrected.

Yes will vote Buhari because the Augean stable need to be clean, not that I like him.

Excuse me that is not entirely true, the governor of Imo state has never been in PDP, and that of Rivers left the PDP in his 2nd tenure and performed even better than his first. And then u left my main reason for my decision to not vote for Jonathan : the enemies of Nigeria should be his enemies!

And again u said we should vote for the candidate n not the Party, with the choice between the two evils and I ask who is the worst evil with your right senses?

Mr Corruption or the man who has been worldly acclaimed to be even by his opponent as Mr. Integrity? Please don't let ethnicity BLIND your sense of judgement.
Can you please take the time to re read my earlier post? Where in it did I said the Governor of Imo state was ever in the PDP?

When rereading my earlier post please take cognizance of the part where I said 'bolded'.

Ethnicity? I will leave you to your imaginations but four fingers is pointing back right at you.

Corruption and Integrity? I didn't allude to any of the these and you BLINDLY concluded I am for GEJ.

Devils? One being lesser than the other is relative and subjective.

If you must know I'm voting for Buhari. The reasons for doing so is personal but definitely not for blind reasoning and malice.

I am an Igbo man from Imo state, and I support the Progressives not becos of anything but for the future of Nigeria, I lived in lagos and I hve witnessed the work of the progressives first hand and I believe in their CHANGE... I hve checked the states where APC governs: Imo, Lagos, Edo, Rivers, Kano etc and I see their governors doing marvelously well. I have never supported jonathan even in 2011, my reason was that he made one statement during his campaigne that:

"He had no enemies to fight" and then I lost hope.

I lost hope becos a good President of this great country must have have enemies to fight!!! He enemies must be enemies of Nigeria!
And who re the enemies of Nigeria?

The corrupt people in government, people fighting, and killing Nigerians eg BH boys to start with.

I will stop here for now

I support GMB
Your choice of who to support is your inalienable right.

But let be factual in our statements. The above 'bolded' Governors achieved their 'marvellous' deeds when they are in the PDP. We are yet to see what they have done since their defection.

The above scenario is equally applicable to the PDP governors. Some have done well and some are below par. This is a testament as to each elected officials character.

The day is coming in Nigeria when we will look beyond party affiliations to vote people of character. All parties are of the same feather.

Of the two devils, I will go for the lesser one.

on the issue of stolen vehicles its their job!! tax payers money etc.

prior to theft (or other crime) the vehicle shouldn't concern them.
How will they have records of stolen vehicles? If a vehicle is registered with them prior to theft, it makes it easier to flags such vehicle in their database making recovery easy.
