Jobs/VacanciesRe: Access Bank Interview! Anybody With Clues? by lionidis: 8:33pm On Jun 21, 2007
U'll need to study the website and know about the achievements and landmarks of the bank, its quite impressive, so see www.accessbankplc.com.
U'll probably have three stages of interviews, talk very confidently at the interview and be relaxed, they are interested in people who can hold their own in a group and not get drowned. Read up all you can about the bank in the dun up to your interview, best of luck mate,
Jobs/VacanciesRe: Pwc Interview by lionidis: 6:15pm On May 16, 2007
oops i meant that u study pwc and kpmg websites, businessday online website and take note of business stories. try to read a little about the unit u expressed interest in joining, and if you cant get that unit, (they might inform you that only audit department is recruiting) say u will join them. many people will lose the chance because they dont want audit because they dont want to do ICAN.
anyways all the usual things u must do at the interview u should do.
best of luck

hi, I havent been thru the interview process but a friend of mine who did and works there told me of a few things to expect.
if its a group interview, u must ensure that u are not drowned in the conversation, always try and contribute on the topic no matter how silly your idea might be, but u must express yourself, pwc is a consulting company and they are definitely pro business ( which means more business and private sector involvement and less governement intervention. when asked about the privatisation program, u must affirm a resounding support for the program, u should study the banks website theyseem to like to write a lot, and u should from there prepare the questions to ask, they could be qustions pertaining to career development, ask if they have a mentorship program, read up kpmg nigeria website too, and i suggest you take an active interest in business stories, check businessday nigeria website and make note of business stories. working in these places u need tio have a real interest for business, helping clients succed and in continous learning, just read up and dont sound like an adams oshiomole when asked about controversial goverment reforms be smart.
best of luck
Jobs/VacanciesRe: Which Way Nlng? by lionidis: 3:17pm On May 06, 2007
This is most certainly against my better judgement, but it just had to be said, a few of you nairalanders are a bunch of cynical and desperate people, I mean, if i were to employ people, i would ask if they use nairaland, and if yes i will immediately start pressing their buttons, at this rate some of these people are bound to crack open, come on, how many of you want this job for any other reason than the fat pay cheque. this quite frankly breaks my heart. THIS IS THE FUTURE OF OUR COUNTRY, at the risk of over reacting, this still had to be said.
Jobs/VacanciesRe: Exxon Mobil Test Format For Graduate Engineer by lionidis: 6:54pm On May 05, 2007
The test format for mobil producing nigeria-graduate trainee position is as follows
1. verbal reasoning that will last for under 30 minutes and are 40 questions , basically u will be given a short passage and will be requires to answers a, b, or c to assumptions made based on the contents of the passage,
a- u agree with what the statement says
b - u disagree with the statement based on what is in the passage
c- u cant tell from the passage if the statement is correct

2. Numerical reasoning - 35 minutes 35 questions, u get to use a calculator, basic stuff, u are give a data sheet with graphs and charts and asked questions from the chart, easy stuff, the onlky problem is flipping the pages back and forth to get to the data sheet from the question page, mobil should do something about that it wastes valuable time.

3. diagrammatical reasoning- if u did nlng, chevron, or any of those funky tests on diagrams u ought to be used to this by now, anyways it is the simplest i have ever done. 16 mins 40 questions

4 discipline test, i'm an electrical engineer, so my test included electric machines, motors, generators, transformers, control devices, circuit brakers, insulation materials, most of these stuff u will know if u have working experience as an engineer in your field, no so much of classroom stuff, but a sound knowledge of theory will help u when u dont have the experience. 48 questions 60 minutes.

hope u find this useful.
PS
I think a lot of the users of this site need to do more to help each other out instead of asking for time and venue for tests, if u get an advert in the papers, please be so kind as to type it out and post it on the page. alright then. hope u all have fun.
I have found that barrons GRE has been the very best for numerical reasoning preparation, if u have got the patience it will surely payoff.
