Education / Re: Lagos Indian School Where Nigerians Are Denied Admission by litaninja(m): 3:53pm On Apr 24
There's absolutely no confusion.
If i see an indian school in my home country and i take a fancy to having my child train there, indian language, curriculum, culture and all, then i can send them there. Anything otherwise, cannot be allowed.

We know exactly what it is. We also know where it is. In Nigeria. They cannot discriminate during admissions.

Simple.

jaxxy:

U seem to be confused. Its not a French or Indian language leaning school. It has its own curriculum which isn't for Nigeria. It is specific for kids from a particular country. Lebanese or British can't go there.

I don't know what Nigerians are crying about. Once the expatriates or foreign community leaves that school will be shut down cos it serves no purpose.
Education / Re: Lagos Indian School Where Nigerians Are Denied Admission by litaninja(m): 2:33pm On Apr 24
There is no valid reason sir. The school needs to be open to all without discrimination of any sort. If its an indian language school, you send your ward there if you want them to imbibe the indian language, culture and curriculum.

If i go to an hausa market, i'm going to look for hausa related items or ingredients. I won't get there to ask for igbo spices.

Simple.

jaxxy:

u have no idea what ure talking about. I have interacted with such schools and there is a valid and specific reason they were setup.

This is untenable.
CheapHomes1:
there are lot of indians in ilupeju and i think palmgroove area. its understandable the purpose of the school which is to provide indian education to the children of indian nationals. indians are very cultural people and I believe the school does not just teach western education but indian values and culture to the kids so that they dont loose touch with what being an indian is all about. Nigerians might not understand
Education / Re: Lagos Indian School Where Nigerians Are Denied Admission by litaninja(m): 8:39pm On Apr 23
No child is born speaking any particular language. Any child sent to a school with a foreign language used for instruction will pick it up within months.
There's no excuse for said exclusion.

jaxxy:
Yes there are schools strictly for foreign students. Not just Indian school, there also German and Lebanese schools and that's fine based on the reason the school was created.

it's not about whites or race bt strictly for the country's expatriate kids in a foreign country so the language barrier and syllabus isn't a problem.

I think it's done this way cos these kids are only here cos their parents work in the country temporarily and can leave back to their country at anytime. They must be able to sync with their home country schools seamlessly.

it's not only done in Nigeria bt anywhere there's a large community of foreigners and they see need for specific education systems.

They are not studying or planning to write our waec, neco or jamb exams they write their home country exams.
Education / Re: Lagos Indian School Where Nigerians Are Denied Admission by litaninja(m): 8:37pm On Apr 23
If they can't interact with other cultures, let them remain in their home country now. How will you carry and migrate somewhere, then say you can't interact. What's the point of moving there

Jogs1900:

You've said it all
.I know the school too.Ilupeju has been Indians fortress for decades..They even have 2 shrines there...Indians are conservative and they find it difficult to interact with other cultures..You can't see an Indian wife working in Nigeria. Most of the students in that school will not further their education in Nigeria...They will go to India for their tertiary education...

Education / Re: Lagos Indian School Where Nigerians Are Denied Admission by litaninja(m): 8:36pm On Apr 23
What about your fellow countrymen who refuse to rent / lease houses to nigerians in that same ilupeju? Na indian language house?

Come off it bruv.

Kajaard:
I know the Lagos Indian Language School at Ilupeju where Indians send their kids. There is a reason it is called INDIAN LANGUAGE SCHOOL and not Indian School because the kids are taught in Indian language.

I hope you know the school was created to cater to the needs of the kids of the Indian community at Ilupeju? I hope you know the language of instruction there is not in English language?

They created that school to imbibe the Indian culture in their kids that were born here and lived all their lives here so they still have that touch with their home base: INDIA

It's not everything we should complain about and run to social media without doing any credible research. All this because data is so cheap these days, smh undecided

Nice dashboard!

While on the topic, please is anyone uploading from nodered or MQTT to pvoutput? If yes, can you help share your flow? Feeling a bit lazy and not wanting to re-invent any wheels.

Thanks!

They're a bunch of twats actually. The bandits are running free all over jos for multiple weeks, even announcing attacks. Its hobby craft that are making headlines. smh

nedekid:
Ordinary drone ohh. Something you can easily buy on aliexpress for different use. When it comes to naija, you see a whole press conference.
That was how few years ago a whole minister came to embarrass himself doing press conference over pyrotechnics for events. Another one raised press conference over paint ball guns.

There's no such thing as a license to import hobby model aircraft.
Cars are also weaponized to carry ammunition and personnel by bandits in the northern region of nigeria. IS THERE A LICENSE TO IMPORT CARS?

Dogalmighty17:
Who imported the drone? These customs guys are more than useless. If you are seizing a drone then you should also have an arrested suspect.
The NSA will never approve license for any individual to import these kind of drones yet someone went ahead and imported it.

These drones are very deadly as Russia is finding out in Ukraine. Who is the person that imported it? For what purpose? These are questions worth asking but the useless dumb customs can do nothing properly.

You can literally go on amazon and place an order right now. This UAV DEFINITELY doesn't have even up to 1 hour of flight time.
Its flight time would be max 45 mins. Quads have more general purposes other than military / combat use.
matify83:
A drone of 5kg weight with 70 hours of flight time and ports for munitions is definitely a security risk to any country.

The question begging for answer is can such drone be bought off the shelves even in developed countries?
Politics / Re: Customs Intercepts Combat-ready Drone, Military Hardware At MMIA (pic) by litaninja(m): 6:59pm On Jan 07
Lmao. What is this irritating "news"?
There's nothing remotely "combat ready" about this. Its simply a generic heavy lift quad MOST LIKELY to be fitted with Agro or Movie-making payloads. Of course, like any other generic quad, it can be modded to suit military or combat use, but so can every car, bike, plane, phone, knife, etc, etc,
So are you going to seize every item being imported into the country Dumbos

Family / Re: What Do You Bring To The Table !! by litaninja(m): 1:34am On Nov 29, 2023
Dem swaer for her make she no fit bring finance?

Wisegeek01:
Here's the opinion you wont see anywhere on the internet . .. and you are hearing it for the first time
Sit tight !!

The phrase what are you brining to the table .. has grossly been misunderstood, some men that even ask the question don't even know why they are asking the question, while on the other hand some women fly into a fit of rage or keep dodging the question, why they are angry they don't even know, its just a psychological impulse,

first of all it is not mandatory for the lady to actually bring finance into the mix but it helps so that should not be the centre of the question, so the men asking and referring to finance really shouldn't do that, focus on what she is supposed to bring

.. its not her job to bring finance, so if you are referring to that you are asking the wrong contextual question, a lady actually has what she should bring to the table, but sadly not a lot of ladies have taken their time to sit down and think about the question, because the are always offended or defensive, its just a simple question, that you need to understand, its not you mdfkn job to bring finance, that is what the man should bring to the table,

what the lady brings to the table .. ranges from
great values
Emotional Intelligence
Attention to Detail
Organizational Skills
Nurture and Care
Empathy and Compassion
Collaborative Spirit
Multitasking Abilities
Intuition
Social Skills
Diplomacy
Support

when you list these features and tell the man you posses these traits
now it's your turn to ask him
what does he bring to the table
...
he should have most of these below
finance
protection
security
Leadership
Decision-Making Skills
Stability
Emotional Support
Problem-Solving Abilities
Initiative
Adaptability
Sense of Humor
Integrity
Shared Responsibilities

marriage or relationship is team effort, not competition
the next time i hear that question in the wrong context I fit flog person cool grin
