2 years in, still rocking with zero issues and no apparent reduction in capacity / holding its charge. Na wetin the cost go be now I no go wan hear. sad

litaninja:
So, here is the story of how I decided that I really don't need all my internal organs;
Remember a few months back when this strange company came on the radar but no one really had much information....and we still don't sha.

I tried to reach out to them via chat, but that didn't really give me the conviction that was needed. Also, put a call across to @Ojeysky which provided some feedback as well.

Well, since someone else had an interesting discussion with them, maybe I could have an interesting visit to them? Na so I enter motor, face the ends of Lagos (i.e. Epe Expressway), to the address provided on their website. The idea was maybe if I get there and actually see the thing in real life, then answers will be provided.

Arrived there after many hours of lagos traffic and discovered a small team taking a break from prepping materials for the manufacture / assembly of said battery units. So I got to discussing with them and got some info.

So they have 2 variants currently, 25.6v & 51.2v, Approx 5KWh and 10KWh respectively. The batteries are made up of 32650 LiFePo cells in the typical parallel and series arrangements we are probably familiar with already. Enclosures are made of steel, they have a couple of CNC machines and other tools to round off, finish and add aesthetics to the final product.
Still not too much by way of technical details, I was interested in the 25.6v variant, so, max charging current is 50Amps, Max Charging voltage is 28.8V.
There is a BMS and active balancer, but unfortunately no form of external communication to both. On pressing for the reasons behind this, reason such as, most average users are not really interested in communicating with a BMS (na una DIY people dey always wan chook and press something), warranty issues from improper configurations and misuse by the users and most importantly, the cost of communication capable BMS. The manufacturer is trying to keep the price down so it remains affordable (or at least as affordable as LiFePo can be sha).
There's a small LCD screen that displays the voltage and SOC though, so....

Anyways, after a couple of minutes with them, I felt convinced enough to take the plunge on behalf of the FTA Solar forum. But alas, there were NO UNITS in stock at that time. Due to the costs of scaling, logistics and general nigerian problems sha, they are only able to get a few units out per month. I was informed that they are working hard to try to scale up, get investments and generally increase production output but for now, dem dey manage as the whole Nigeria dey manage.

I promised to keep in touch and also got a promise that they'd try to squeeze a unit for me from the next batch.
This was about 3 weeks ago, anyways, last thursday I got a call from them, informing me that a 25.6v unit was available for the taking if i wanted.....na so i go do the surgery o.

Ladies and gentlemen....I now have a Pelton LiFePo battery, it does exist and it does look like its as advertised.
There's a 5-year warranty on the unit and there is the promise of after warranty repairs and support for a fee of course.
Pictures attached!

I don't know what to do again! I got an international job which will require me to work from Nigeria and I have submitted all other document but the company is not accepting my NIN Slip. They said it is one-faced Id and cannot be accepted.

I downloaded the NIMC App and tried to activate my account but no OTP is send to my mobile phone number.

I went to the NIMC state headquarter in the state I live and complained. They checked my email and phone number in their system and all are correct. They told me to keep on trying the App. I have been trying the App day and night and no OTP was send to activate my account.

I was asked to check if the plastic one is ready for collection. The web page (https://nimc.gov.ng/eid-card-issuance/) does not exist.

I tried to check the status of the plastic one if it is ready through their website - http://touch.nimc.gov.ng/ The page is no longer existing. Everything about NIMC is not working now.

I even make attempt to get driver's license, I was told it will take 60 days to be ready.

Please what will I do again. I don't want to loose this job. I have send messages to different emails in NIMC but no response. I have submitted the police clearance certificate containing my 10 fingerprints yesterday but they still insist I will not be assigned roles until national ID is provided and the documentation period deadline is Monday 10/07/2023

Na money you no get or e no reach....no stress yourself.

klimkid:
My girlfriend and I have been dating for 3 years now and it's about time we start planning on getting married.

One thing I no for sure is that she loves me and I do love her too. Recently, she told me that her mom went to some churches and they told her it won't work, about 3 pastors. But my girlfriend told her friend to tell her pastor to pray about it.

So he prayed about it and he gave us feedback after 3 days and he said the marriage will work, he said I will give my girlfriend peace, take care of her and make her happy.

There's a woman that prays for me here in Lagos, she said there is nothing wrong with both of us. I also called my Rev. Father and he said that nobody has the right to say the person is for this person or the marriage won't work.

He said marriage is a decision both of us will take and pray about it.

He said hence we love ourselves so much, should leave it for God and continue with our relationship.

Guys, have you experienced this before? What do you think? I am confused.

I was born and raised in Lagos, my family owns rental buildings and I have good idea of renting in Lagos.

There are many moderate neighbourhoods within the mainland he can get a cool 2 bedroom apartment for N700k.

A bachelor earning N400k monthly, paying for a N1.3m apartment makes no economic sense and if he was a relative of mine, I would ask him who is he wasting money to impress?

- if you're spending 30k per month on maintenance or repairs on your car you need to go out and set fire to it right now before you continue reading this

- you have a home office? Meaning you work from home. Why are you spending 36k on car fuel for 5 days?

- if you're currently able to afford 50k monthly for gen fuel only, i suggest trying to get a lump sum around 700k to setup an inverter / solar power system no matter how small. Should pay off itself in less than 2 years judging by the current budget

- if there's fibre coverage in your area, scrap the dstv and data, roll over as much of your calls to whatsapp

- at 4k per month for laundry, get another lump sum for a 5kg front loader washing machine then iron yourself. Should pay off in about 2 years

- hygiene maintenance can cut to 5k per month. Na designer perf you dey buy?

- family house contribution is neither here nor there sha

- learn some diy for the repairs and maintenance. Get quality replacements when you do diy work. Cheaper in the long run

- your provisions probably need a little more budget. 30k no go reach again like this.

- get a GF. Life short, enjoy it a bit. You won't be on 400k forever. Lol.

- don't listen to any of that tithe nonsense

- the rent is also fine. Mainland rent sef high don't dull.

- the feeding is fine. In fact you can raise to 2k5 or 3. Eat well and live healthy or else you go kpai young

Essenza01:
I really don't know anymore, i just did my budget for the month and i am scared, i have cut from everywhere possible and i fear for my self.. i dont have a GF, Wife, Children.. my salary is N400,000 and i have added side businesses and one or two's to even survive.. but with this fuel increase, what else is left... zero savings..

- Rent - N108,333/mth (1,300,000/12)
- Fuel for car - N180,000 (36k for 5-6days)
- Auto maintenance - N30,000/mth (service/repair)
- Fuel for generator - N50,000/mth (20ltr/wk)
- Feeding - N62,000 - (N2,000/day)
- Health miscellenous - N5,000/mth
- Dstv - N4,500/mth
- Data - N7,000/mth
- Recharge card - N3,000/mth

- repairs and maintenance - N12,000/mth
- Clothing, footwear etc - N10,000/mth
- Outings, restaurant, sit outs and provisions - N30,000/mth

Total = N556,500...

My rent is average rent for where i stay, its a two bed flat, i use the other room for home office..

Feeding is N2,000/day.. its not anything out of the ordinary.. tried cooking and spent more with time wasting.

Fuel for car is at the new rate of N500/ltr, my car is a 70ltr car tank..

Auto maintenance is basic brake pads, shocks, service 2mths, tire guage, police pr, tire purchase if any, minor touch ups etc... nothing major.

Fuel for generator is 20ltr/day (2hrs or less daily)

I need help.... how are you people doing it, what am i doing wrong? The rat race is killing me..

Or just an imaginative kid who's come across stories from different sources.
Stop letting kids get exposed to the nonsense that is nollywood

kekakuz:
My first daughter happens to live with her mum and i only get to see her Like once a week or less.

I have noticed that when ever she talks to me on phone, she talks like an adult. She says things only an experienced person would say.for example, she called me to buy 3 cakes for her birthday and I questioned why.

She said because the last time I bought her cake was for her 1st birthday and I have to buy for all the years I did not buy.recently, I asked her who is God and she said God is a spirit that lives in heaven and is on the water and he created everything from the the water.

Even though this sounds incoherent and funny, I don't expect such answer from a 4 years old girl.

Today, I called her to myself and ask her what of her mum and she answered "which one" I was shocked .

I proceeded to ask her how many mum does she have and she said "my mum dies long time ago and this one is her second mum" I was shocked to the bone.

So I separated her from her siblings and asked deeper questions even tho I didn't want her to feel scared. She also told me she had 2 othere siblings and called their names. Told me where she lived before and this is where I stopped.

I have always wanted to belive In Reincarnation and this is proof before my very eyes .

Guys what do you think and how do I handle this

Yes. You built the foundation of a non-sexual relationship with her, but you want to roof a fully sexual one?
That's not how it works.

Mokole2023:
Dear Nlders,

I cant say if this problem is peculiar and I would sincerely appreciate mature comments and suggestions.

My marriage is just about a year old though I had an on/off online friendship with my now-wifey since 2017 before we decided to get serious late 2021. Our physical courtship was kinda brief - about 6 months - while we both resided in the same state but different Cities (about 3hrs apart).

I used to be very sexually active in my previous relationships - trust me when i say I'm quite good in bed - but with my now-wifey, I decided to limit the sex part cos i felt at a man's age (tho my sisters also advised same) that there r other things to look out for in a woman. So basically, we did not get too intimate during courtship. Worryingly, even the few times we did it, I rarely got to orgasm cos she couldn't match my stamina.

Fast forwards to 1 month into the marriage, I was diagnosed with High blood pressure which the doctors advised BP drugs might affect my libido but it will later regulate/normalize. Then the problems started! First, I get aroused normally with good turgidity enough to penetrate my Wifey's tight "body" but I tend to loose erection after some mins of thrusting and that's the end. Never comes back on again. Few times I was able to finish but that's not without alot of mental imagination to make me finish ontime.

Very worryingly for me, I decided to check myself with other women and dear readers, I achieved stronger turgidity and no fail moment. That was my first shock.

Summarily, my wife and I still dont live together but this situation has gone worse now. I got no sexual feelings towards her and na by force we dey manage run 1 round in weeks. Meanwhile, I get sex requests from other girls on a daily. I'm very sad about this situation especially when i look at my wife because she ought to be enjoying this thicke alone forever.

As a man, you can imagine how you'd feel when your woman feels ur impotent while other women are bugging you for your time.

Various extreme thoughts have crossed my mind and I'm seriously bothered which isn't even good for my health. Should i confess to my wife?

I await your responses, suggestions and advice.

Many thanks,
Jobs/Vacancies / Re: My Experience Working In A Nigerian Startup by litaninja(m): 7:23pm On May 26, 2023
If you work for 6 months without getting paid, it simply means you don't need to be paid and there is no incentive for any boss to renumerate you.

Supreme145:
I got a job late last year in a Nigerian startup firm as a web designer on a 150k salary. We initially had a bit of back and forth cos the boss wanted me to work onsite but I insisted on working remotely because I couldn't afford relocation to Lagos at that time.

Over six months down the line and it has been a terrible experience. I've been paid just twice in 6 months, and we have not been working since the middle of last month due to a scarcity of funds. I wonder what would have been my fate if I had relocated to Lagos.

Some months we work for just two weeks or thereabout, I work beyond office hours and even during weekends. There was a period my boss would keep me awake at midnight working. I just had to comply since I haven't been able to get another job and the freelance market isn't smiling either. I'm constantly broke for someone that is supposed to be earning 150k, even though it's not much but it should be able to sustain a single guy.

I'm really confused at this point cos I feel very much unemployed. My boss would read my messages on WhatsApp and lock up. I've asked him to update me on what's going on because I feel jobless and left in the cold. He viewed the message without a reply. I don't know how to proceed from this point and would appreciate any advice now because I am slowly sliding into depression.
