According to TMZ, Desiigner and others who were inside an SUV were involved in an exchange with another car. The driver of the other vehicle reportedly called the police, claiming that the rapper pulled a gun on them.
Even after the SUV pulled away from the scene, the driver of the second car wrote down the plate number of the vehicle.
Police officers later found the SUV and following a quick search, discovered a lot of loose pills in the centre console, TMZ reports.
According to Law enforcement sources, Oxycontin was found amongst other drugs.
Desiigner and the 4 others in the SUV were immediately arrested and charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance as well as criminal possession of drugs with intent to sell, which are both felonies.

Kim Kardashian is proud of her figure after giving birth in December, and she has shown it off once again.

The busty reality TV show flaunted her famous curves in a mesh top as she put her boobs on display during a stroll round New York on Friday.

Flashing a lot of flesh in a mesh playsuit, Kim didn't leave a lot to the imagination as she soaked up the atmosphere while the city that never sleeps hosts its annual fashion week.

Airline passengers have been warned by US authorities not to switch on or charge their Samsung Galaxy Note 7 phones when on board the plane.
The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) also advised against packing the phones into any checked-in luggage.
Samsung recalled the phone last week after reports emerged of the device exploding during or after charging.
Qantas and Virgin Australia have also told customers not to charge or use the phone during flights.
Battery problems
Samsung has said that battery problems were behind the phones catching fire, but that it was difficult to work out which phones were affected among those sold.
"In light of recent incidents and concerns raised by Samsung about its Galaxy Note 7 devices, the Federal Aviation Administration strongly advises passengers not to turn on or charge these devices on board aircraft and not to stow them in any checked baggage," the FAA said.
Following Samsung's recall of its Galaxy Note 7, Qantas said on Thursday it was "requesting that passengers who own [the devices] do not switch on or charge them in-flight."
The phone was launched last month and has been otherwise generally well-received by consumers and critics.
Some 2.5 million Note 7s have been shipped globally.
Samsung has said customers who have already bought the phone will be able to swap it for a new one and that it would take about two weeks to prepare replacement devices

The Nigeria Police have rescued two kidnapped Chinese nationals, an official said.
The Ogun State Police Command, Thursday, said it rescued the two Chinese nationals kidnapped in Odeda area of Abeokuta, the state capital.
The Command Public Relations Officer, Abimbola Oyeyemi, said the Chinese were kidnapped on September 1 by gunmen at a quarry.
He gave the identities of the two victims as Shen Ximing and Wei Futang.
Mr. Oyeyemi, in a statement made available to journalists in Abeokuta, said ‎they were rescued by police operatives acting on report of the incident.
He said the two men were rescued unhurt but no arrest was made for their kidnap.
The spokesperson stated that the police have also rescued a woman, Olabimpe Tejumola, who was kidnapped on September 2, in Mowe area of the state.
He said she too was rescued unhurt and has since reunited with her family.

Mr. Oyeyemi appealed to members of the public against paying ransoms to kidnappers. He asked that such kidnap cases be promptly brought to the attention of the police‎.

"The King of Photoshop", that is the name he was also known as after making an awesome photo editing that went viral on line we will get to that later on, him and his best friend Seyikeyz created a musical band they called “The Bridge” . They released four tracks from 2010 which are "No Sleeping On A Bicycle”, Norm Breaker” Featuring Skales “, “All Of Me” John Legend Cover then Left the band in 2013.
Back to the Photoshop thing, he got the name ‘King of photoshop' after he editted of nice photo of him hugging Tiwa Savage From behind, which went viral on social media, he used his career in design to finance his musical inspiration.
He was asked in an interview about his Photoshop and musical career this is what he said
“Photoshop is fun; I love the way it makes people laugh and the atention i get. I do not like to be the ordinary guy; i like to be known for something. I made a picture of me hugging Tiwa Savage from behind and when i posted it on Instagram; i was overwhelmed by peoples response, I decided to continue with it, and as time went on, bloggers started writing about it and that increased my fan base, it has helped me meet people that have assisted me in my music career”

To add up, Fuse was the one that insisted Olamide sign him into YBNL Nation after falling in love with is song “Sade” in 2014, Olamide bought the idea because of how close he is with fuse. He also designed the YBNL Logo for the crew.

Police were summoned to deal with a noise complaint, as Beyonce partied the night away with a host of celebrity pals at her 35th birthday bash.
Uniformed NYPD officers were pictured visiting the building hosting the singer's New York party at around 1.30am on Tuesday morning, after neighbours contacted them complaining about the loud music.
After police informed the building's doorman of the complaint, onlookers said Beyonce and the party-goers complied with a request to turn down the volume.

Slovakia defender Jan Durica has criticised the performance of Serbian referee Milorad Mazic in his side’s 1-0 World Cup qualifying defeat to England on Sunday.
Sam Allardyce claimed victory in his first game in charge courtesy of Adam Lallana’s goal in the fifth minute of stoppage time, with the Slovakia having to play the final 33 minutes with 10 men after Martin Skrtel was dismissed for two bookable offences.
Durica, 34, claims Mazic gave decisions in favour of England and was waiting for the chance to dismiss Skrtel — even though television replays clearly showed the former Liverpool defender stamp on Harry Kane when already on a yellow.
“There is only one place at the World Cup,” Durica told reporters. “Why should Slovakia go there, when we have England in the group?
“Of course, they will always prefer stronger team. Probably the referee exactly knew how to do it.



“And it was after a really strict red card. I think that the referee waited until Skrtel did a foul. We were really unhappy.
“The Englishmen knew that they are one player more, so, logically, they began pushing forward and creating the pressure. But they did not have clear chances, so that is why we regret it.
“If they had created some great play and scored a nice goal, you say it is okay, but not such as a goal in the stoppage time.”
Skrtel’s red card appeared to have been coming for some time — he had twice been spoken to by Mazic after the first yellow — and Kane believes Skrtel was lucky to stay on the pitch as long as he did.
“There were a few challenges that I felt could have earned him a yellow card but it didn’t come,” Kane said. “It was just a matter of time. It was a silly thing for him to do because he was on a yellow. The ref has seen it and I think it deserved another yellow card.”
