Original post I made was thinking it would be gotten from electricity supplied by egbin plant to lagos which isn't enough for the state.
If we are managing and this project will tap into that electrical supply, what do you think will happen?
Until we further talked about it and saw it could also be gas (changed to electricity) used or like you suggested generators (which I find funny)

So you think LASG would reduce the hours of power supply, so they can charge buses?

Are you trolling, sir? grin
Lmaoo.. How LASG go reduce the hours of power supply nau..

Is that someone that was Late?

Also if there were no issues then why did abike delete her tweet about dividing by state of origin?

Die this gas matter ohh grin

If Gas was cheap, many industries would have adopted it.

And there is nothing wrong with the efficiency, or let me say I am not seeing what you are seeing

50 buses will not be releasing CO2 into the atmosphere. That's a step to going green.

Abi this one no do you? grin
Lmaooo... Just dey burn time with the topic😁.
Anyways make my light nor sha reduce too.. Me and LASG go put leg inside the same trouser🙏

Remember that it is us that is speculating it to be generators

They probably have their own means of charging these buses. And i know it wouldn't be what we are thinking.

They better place those buses on a different routes and charge a premium

If na this 600 naira dem wan collect, them go use 5 years collection take replace one battery
I've just gone through the feasibility study of oando clean energy and even they recognise the issues associated with EV in Nigeria.
Costlier to acquire when compared to their fuel counterparts.
They didn't specify the energy source but suggested the need for our genco and disco to do even more as we have limited electrical supply.
As far as they are in Lagos, I'm sure the egbin plant supplies that electricity as the company hasn't mentioned they have their own power plant. If they decide to use Gas then efficiency is the issue I have a problem with.

Also what does it cost in total to power those buses as against using fuel powered buses? (this question bases on your point about profit) coz I don't see Lagos making any profit from same bus fares as brt

The same thing that happens to diesel, happens to Gas

Believe you me, CNG does not come cheap, and that is why CNG powered vehicles didn't make much noise like before

If you really want to have a cost efficient way of energy, go green or go home.

Na the truth be that.
I know CNG doesn't come cheap but LASG should be able to strike a deal coz one way or the other they are using gas.
What is the cost of turning gas into electricity to power the buses?
Is it cheaper than just using gases to power the buses?

Okay

Should i suggest Solar plant to power electric buses?
I think what he's trying to say is if your plan is to go clean.. Then might as well do it very well.

It won't cost a thing.

Yeah. Gas

It is still clean energy. Instead of running 50 engines, you are running one to power 50.
Of cos its clean energy.
I'm looking at the efficiency.
Won't it be better to use gas seeing how we have excess gas reserves that can easily be used.
It makes the whole process alot more efficient
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by liveLongNprospa(m): 2:02pm On May 02, 2023
When you are asked to use your head an exist outside what gawat posts it will seem like an impossible thing.

What is the source of the power oando is using.. Is it electricity or was it initially gotten from gas?

If its gotten from gas, wouldn't it have been more efficient to just use gas to power the buses?

Egbin power plant supplies electricity to lagos state at barely half its capacity.
It would make better sense to use gas to power those buses.
The idea isn't bad at all just the efficiency is what I'm questioning you dolt

LASG has its own IPP

Their courts, hospitals are not under any Disco.

Asides from that, it doesn't cost much to buy a Mikano and charge them daily
IPP is using gas right?

Also if you have to use a generator to charge them, what's the point of talking clean energy?
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by liveLongNprospa(m): 1:40pm On May 02, 2023
BTW the electrical buses LASG bought? Which electricity will they use to power them?

Coz it's not like the state has excess electricity to use normally.
So where will they get the needed one and will it affect residents and other businesses?

These days, you can't buy any decent toks car below 5-6m. With the ban and further increase in clearing cost, we may be looking at a minimum of 7m to buy a toks car.

That brings me to something else, will I use 7m to buy a Lexus es350 or the Innoson car Izu shared. I'm sure you know the answer grin
Dey there dey play.
Nor buy am🤣🤣

What choice do people have ni?
Nigerians go begin rush Nigerian used not caring if it's already 'accident-ed' just coz it's abit more affordable.

The ban has always been there but they didn't enforce it. Maybe it's now they want to enforce it.

Pre 2022, if you buy a car above 10 years, you have to pay a bribe of 20-50k to clear it at the ports because it's underage.

In 2022, they brought out another rule that says all cars below 2013 must pay the same duty as a 2013 vehicle. Even if you buy a 2000 corolla, you will pay the same duty as someone buying a 2013 corolla. I had just imported a car at the time and the initial budget I got to clear it was 900k. By the time the vehicle arrived, the new clearing rate had started and I was billed 2.2m shocked. I wan mad but I had no choice. Leaving it at the ports will only accumulate more demurrage.

This one they want to effect the ban, I suspect it may be related to subsidy. Let's take the ability to buy vehicles out of the reach of most people and reduce the daily consumption of petrol. If our consumption goes down, subsidy goes down

I may be wrong sha cheesy. Just some wild thoughts
Lmao so no ban since and this na wetin people dey suffer..

How e go come be now with the ban🤣🤣

In a lawsuit filed by former Alpha Beta MD, Dapo Apara, he had alleged that Alpha Beta paid N500m ($2.7m at the time) to some "Aranda Resources" in 2015. Bloomberg now reports that Seyi Tinubu owns Aranda resources

Omo where person wan start for this Nigeria sef?

Number 187 out of 191 Health systems as ranked by WHO.

As part of the 63rd AGM of the Nigerian Medical Association, I was invited to be part of a team conducting an outreach in a neighbouring LGA two hours from Jalingo.

Omo, these guys turned the hospital to a marketplace. We even had to hustle for space to park the vehicles, such was the crowd waiting for us.

We started consultation and I spent four straight hours on my feet, and when the instruction came to stop around 4pm, there were more patients waiting for us than we had seen. And my section alone had seen over 200. I don't know the amount Medicine, Surgery, O&G, Pediatrica etc had seen.

Most of these people have nowhere else to turn to for healthcare, and they came in droves because it was free.

We exhausted every single drug we came with, tablet and eyedrop, and it was not even close to being sufficient.

And where and how do I even begin to describe the problem with almajiri children and the devastating effects of extreme poverty on children?
Three children with Xerophthalmia and Nyctalopia - caused by a deficiency of vitamin A - how do you begin to ask them to alter their diet when them no dey see food chop?

Omo we are sitting on a time bomb o
Bomb wey Don explode since.
Exploded in 2021 with the mass exodus.
E go dey show even more. But trust our media to not report it.
