Cant speak on this as I do not have all the information. Besides, I highly doubt that story, Probably missing some key elements.

My point was looking at the debt service to revenue wasnt putting it in context .

Although the argument could have been that the servicing cost is becoming increasing high and additional debt is still being taken to service the deficit. Worse off is that it is being used on recurrent items and unproductive things like managing subsidy.

That I think is the main issue
Oga there's no need to doubt.. It's all over the Internet. Go and check it and come back

I'll accept your challenge under one condition. Show me any sensible take from any Obidient since creation of this thread.

You guys craving for intelligent discussions, when majority of you don't do that - even you.

Until after Election, I'll be here to piss you guys off.
Even this evening, the conversation about the debt issue in Nigeria especially with the CBN, I pushed for it with my posts. Am I not an Obidient?
You have been using laugh and questions to respond to this conversation.. Lmaoooo

I agree with the bolded and it's one of the reasons this thread is created. Obidients turn this thread to what it is today.

They are never ready to engage in any sensible discourse rather they prefer bullying and cussing hell out of everyone not supporting their candidate.

They're the reason I am actively involved this year, because they need to be checked, put back in their holes once in a while.

No one has monopoly of bullying, trolling and cussing!
I will quote you directly for this because I hate dishonest people.

ON this forum, as much as some Obidients have been guilty of being bullies, there's nobody that has driven conversations on here about the issues we face in this nation as much as the same Obidients.
Donjazet as guilty as he is cannot be accused of not trying to learn and drive those convos.
Neither I or even disstroy.
Segedinho also brings issues up and contributes.

So wtf is this lie you are telling to make it seem like you are a necessary evil.

If that's your reason for being a political nuisance then better look for something reasonable to do.

Since you want to talk about contributions.
What have you actually truly contributed to show your knowledge of workings about Nigeria other than surface level political support (probably with help from larride sef) and to scream Emi lokan..?

I might be wrong as well but I interpreted it as the Government wants CBN to securitise FG's debt, basically like T bills or some sort of bond

I suspect CBN currently aren't empowered to sell FG debt to a 3rd party, which is probably why there's a push for new legislation in NASS
The whole thing is shrouded in secrecy.

That's how government initially denied then started owning up little by little.

When Obaseki initially raised alarm about how CBN was printing money like paper, government denied. Yet everything Don come out towards the end of buhari's tenure

EmmanuelScott1:
Wether bubu distance or not, your candidate's manifesto clearly state that he will borrow more than buhari, he will borrow like how it's normal to withdraw money in the ATM.
Which is the scariest part.
Basically baba wants to do what buhari did but in a legal manner.

Just dey print dey go cheesy while hoping it yields dividends grin

They will never accept the highlight, everything must be blamed on Buhari, even though they know the Conditions GEJ left us.

Don J didn’t support Buhari with sweat and blood in 2014/15 cos he loves Fulanis, but because of GEJ failures across all Sectors.
E be like say you nor even know how bleeped we are under buhari.

You still dey shout GEJ.

The GEJ failed but not even on this level.
We are showing you evidence of unprecedented levels of borrowing with a CBN governor who is practically on the run and it has not occurred to you that the party you support has basically loaned away our future.

The projects that we have borrowed money to do please explain how they will generate money to payback?

I'm not even going to talk about security sef.

Guy incase e never clear for you eye.
The naira is about to lose even more value.

So the 22trillion that was printed was used for what exactly?
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by liveLongNprospa(m): 8:49pm On Jan 05, 2023
nihilistjnr:
It's not unaccounted for though. FG borrowed it.

They are trying to get CBN to sell the debt.
Sell? I thought they wanted to pay back in like 40yrs unless that's a different debt..

Wooh explain coz finance isn't a strong point for me especially apc finance

In as much as i don't like BAT due to his failing health but giving Atiku or any other Northerner the key to presidency is very stupid and dangerous.

The Northerners will definitely consider us as puppet and I agree with them if they succeed one more time...
OH if atiku wins, then it's over for sure.

I want the North to be taught a lesson not to mess with the South.

I nor even know when this northern fear start oo because before 2015, Northern votes alone nor dey guarantee victory.

I wonder why anyone is surprised about the Debt profile under Buhari

The man basically took loans to build almost everything he did. No need to brainstorm about how to fund any project; Just borrow and borrow.

Was it not here that someone posted how the government wanted to take a 100 billion naira loan at 15% per annum to build a road....A ROAD.

I used to ask if we ever generated any revenue in this country, but this tweet has my answers.
What's that thing Tinuke plans to do again?
Basically bypassing our CBN acts so he can just be getting money printed without any check and balance..

Unless I'm getting it wrong? Isn't that basically driving Nigeria even into more deep shit than Ghana right now
