You never bombard here with posts about the killings in the middle-belt like you do for gaza..

Why is that?

As far as national data, the data available through the NPC supports my argument, even though I openly admitted the numbers may be exaggerated. It is open knowledge that there is a dearth in record and data in Nigeria but we can only rely on what is available and experience.

I have also presented data available from independent/ foreign peer reviewed research studies and reports and they absolutely support my argument that mid teenage marriage, polygamy, near absence of family planning, poverty, illiteracy in the North are consequential factors that affect the disparity in birth rate and population distribution when compared to the South.

You guys have not shown anything to prove otherwise.
The data from the NPC is also doubted by you.
The reason I asked for robust data is because if the NPC of a country has inaccurate data, how is the little data with small sample size supposed to tell a different story?

Our own data is simple.
Oil is down south.
Energy consumption is higher down south.
Jobs are more down south.
South is closer to the sea.
I don't want to talk about migration that has occurred to the south over the years.
The economy is basically in the south.

So again.. How is it possible that the north has the population when all these things are easily verifiable points.

How is it that our own case is so peculiar?

All I've been saying. There's not a single metric that supports it.

That's why I asked why Nigeria is such the outlier. There's literally no other country in the world this exists
Me too dey very curious

You are raising a vastly different aspect of debate that I agree with. If we are speaking of economic viability, without any doubt, the South, especially when you consider our main resource is in the South. I am not buying the oil discovery cap the North is selling.
So what actual data then supports the notion that the north has more people?

Like an actual robust and current data from the northern region. Please this doesn't include the Middle-belt

I am not so much referencing the history or data available even though those will support my argument. I am talking mostly about lifestyle, culture and religion and how it affects population when there is a comparison between the North and the South.

The factors I mentioned are immensely consequential to population distribution across the different regions in Nigeria. Can a legitimate argument be made that the numbers are exaggerated? Yes, I believe so but you can’t claim the South compares to the North in terms of those factors which invariably affects census.

A lot of people here served, lived or are still living in the North and they can testify. This isn’t about land mass or arable lands, this is about factors that has continued affects population distribution in Nigeria. I have not even added illiteracy and high perinatal mortality in the North and how it triggers increased child birth.

These factors are intentionally weaponized for political purposes by the North. I mean, how often have we seen children involved in early voting? During campaigns to the North, we see the turnout rates when compared to the South.
Boss.

We do not have the faintest data to have any idea what the population looks like in the north.
The data is neither robust or updated enough.

More energy is used down south.
More cashflow.
The economy of this nation is basically south.
The south is closer to the sea.
Honestly?
How?

Exactly.
There's nothing.
Even the manufactured census data can't be used.
The amount of people that has moved down south in the last 8yrs alone due to apc's destruction of the economy.

Yeah , I know they give birth more than southerners and they start giving birth a younger age . But we actually need a fair census to be sure of what we know once and for all.
What data do we have to show this birth rate in the north compared to the south?

The recent cycle of violence which claim scores of lives is reprehensible and condemnable, may God grant the families of the deceased the fortitude to bear the loss. Also, the authorities should do all in their powers to fish out the perpetrators and ensure that justice is served.

Again innocent lives are lost instead of lovers of humanity to commiserate with the victims and their families and proffer solutions we are hearing tales of ethnic cleansing and population census.
I look forward to your links on the attacks in the middle belt like you have consistently done for attacks on gaza.
