@cee9, pls how do source your machinery and equipment for your production. Do you fabricate it in Nigeria or import the machinery? I source my equipment from FIIRO but their price is too expensive for fabrication. Expecting your reply

thanks for the comments. I have been so busy with production. Its festive season. And your views is well appreciated.

@ ifyalways, You are fond of accusing people on this forum of being dubious. So be rest assured that all your query will be answered.

Although our darling OP had in the past claimed he's a graduate of OAU, Economics.

Are you a graduate of OAU? cause I am and that is the fact. I read Economics from OAU between 2007-2011. I had 4.37 GP. My vice chancellor then was prof. micheal faborode. Economics dept is the middle floor of faculty of social sciences, beside faculty of law and very close to department of theatre arts. Got that right? Being an OAU graduate no big deal. its what you do with it. I acquire more business lessons from the uneducated traders than the so-called consultant. Cause they know the terrain more.

Here's the SME empowerment challenge website and obviously, the 3rd position with $10K was clinched by BudgIT Nigeria so thats our darling OP .

I don`t know where you got the one organized by INNOVATING JUSTICE. But what i know is that mine was financed by African Development Bank and it is strictly for business proposal in Agriculture, Agric-business and Manufacturing. And the grand finale was held in south africa.
It was advertised on a daily newspaper and applicants were requested to forward their proposal to the specified address. So get that right.

And for those that think making a profit of 1,500,000 naira per month in business is imposible. i laugh in swahilli. Do the maths. When you manufacture 3,500 goods per day and your net profit is #18 per product, working 25 days in a month. you should know the answer by now. I know my secondary school classmate, Ikechukwu ,who is a tyre importer in ladipo, makes 200,000 profit per day. I bet there are a lot of salary earners here. thats why its surprising to some of you. Why don`t you ask your employer how much he makes per month and compare it with your salary you earned there. There is saying that if you want to be wealthy, you must be your own boss. Its true.

Someone even accuse me of not posting websites for grants application. Why should I? information is never free. If you want it, get up and get it. There are many grants donor that are not online. I will give good examples. Do you know as poor as Nigeria is, You can get #15,000,000 as a grant from federal government if you are a university graduate and have a viable agriculture business idea. And its for 50 university graduates per state in Nigeria and the application is not online. It was just advertise on daily newspaper simple. You doubt me? Ask our farmers on the agriculture thread for more info. If you run an NGO, do you know you can access 25,000 dollars from united states ambassador small grants program in Nigeria? 30 NGOs get it every year in Nigeria. and the application is not online but you forward your proposal to their US embassy. And it just closed last month, November 30.

I think seun osewa needs to look into the issue of character assasination. Cause there are some people who don`t want their personality to be tarnished. Thats why i took a break to explain myself better.

I have accepted her back. I believe she is good girl. It was the fear of poverty that push her then. And the devil you know is better than the angel that you don`t know. But i told her father that paternity test must be carried out on the child she will give birth to.

@eketem, I won the SME Empowerment Innovation challenge in mid september. Before then , I already had the skills and experience from past failed business on how to successfully run a business in lagos. You can not even win a business plan competition if your company is not yet registered, already have the skills of what you intend doing or have the ability to convince the judges that your business proposal is very viable and meet a needs.
So immediately, I got the grants. I set up the business immediately. And since it is a fast moving consumer goods, I don't need advertising. My marketing strategy was grassroot. I consulted a recruiting firm in Ikeja who supplied me hardworking marketers to employ as staff. And they market the product to the targeted consumers. While I simply handle the production in my small factory. Simple as ABC.

Getting a lawyer is an option that I am considering. Cause all my efforts for an amicable solution is futile. The excuse of her parents is that I want to make their daughter to become a single mother at young age and subject their family to mockery. Hence I must marry her. Her father said their daughther, as a single mother will find it difficult to get married to another guy cause of her pregnancy.

@spiralwedge, I was selected among the winners yesterday evening and its 10k dollars I won. Five nigerians emerge among the winners. The competition is SME empowerment challenge. I don't think moderator will allow me to post websites here but any nigerians that have innovative ideas should google business grants competition for africa, I am sure you will see several. We, nigerians have white collar job mentality to the extent that we neglect entreprenuership totally. The east africans wins most of these business plan competition because they are aware about it. Na hustle and lack of capital, make me google about business grants before I see that there are many for africans. I would have shared my idea here but nigerians with copy-copy mentality. Its a fruit juice production business and I have already acquired the training and skills from FIIRO, lagos. So I am using the money to buy 500 litres fruit juice making machine from FIIRO, 7kva Diesel Generator, vehicle for distribution. Raw materials, Nafdac registration, and order 50 cl pet bottles from plastic manufacturer in Ojota.

@ybaby, I am not with my etisalat line here. That's why I have not seen alert yet. Thank you so much and I really appreciate. God will bless abundantly. I will surely bless someone too that may need my asistance too.

@tearoses, may God grant you more wisdom for your good research and comment about me.

Concerning the book business, I published it and distributed to newspaper vendors in all Agege and Ikeja. But there was poor sales. It's when I have invested all my money in the book business that I realised Nigerians don't read, especially the youth. The Internet is killing books and newspaper business. If you doubt me, ask a vendor nearby you. The few copies I hawked and sold were bought by elderly men who surprisingly read more than youth.

I even sold my only valuables such as LG 32inch LED Television and Techno P5 android on this same nairaland to raise fund to publish my book. Cause I am a good writer. I took the risk with the aim to make profit. I guess in life, you win some and lose some.
But what I am sure is that I have learnt my lesson.

@tearoses, your response made me to reply.Or else I will keep quiet to those who know nothing about me and watch them.

my cousin is thinking of specialising and moreover the capital he has its not enough to buy the various equipment for hotdog, sharwama, asun, hamburger, fish chips in his kiosk.
that's why he wants to narrow it down to the one that he can start firstly either between hotdog or sharwama and expand in the future to others.
