Thanks to Almighty God that helped me throughout this pursuit. My Story is a long one but I will like to share my transcript with you here.

First interview
Delayed
VO: good morning
Me: good morning
VO: can you pass me your documents
Me: sure
VO: can you tell me about your application process
Me: Immediately after my undergraduate studies due to my passion for graduate school I proceed to research gate where I got to know about Prof Honglan of MS&T and Prof Sarah Green of MTU and Nadine Kabengi of GSU whose work coincides my interest and I write to them and they encourage me to apply in which I did by submitting my academic transcript and my GRE Score in which I had a score of 310.

Long silence.....

VO: so why did you choose MS&T
Me: coupled with the fact that I was given a full funding that covers my entire cost of attendance
VO (cuts in): How will you be covering the deficit
Me ( my mind skipped): there's no deficit ma, check well the funding covers the expenses
VO (shout back): what was stated here is 50% assistantship, can you show me a proof of your assistantship letter
Me: I passed it
VO: keeps typing and eventually disapprove the application

Second Interview
VO: good morning
Me: good morning
VO: can you pass me your documents
Me: sure
VO: Why MS&T
Me: coupled with the fact that I was given a full funding which covers my entire cost of attendance, Prof Honglan works on waste water treatment which is a continuation to my undergraduate studies
VO: What will you be doing with this degree
Me: This degree will equip me with the resqusite skills to pick up a job of lead research scientist at FEPA
VO: how are you sure you'll be getting the Job
Me: which kind question is this again but I opened my mouth and tell her that my current boss works with the ministry of environment and she's a consultant so definitely I'll be getting the Job
VO: okay I saw that you have funding which covers your expenses but 50% assistantship was stated here did you have a spreadsheet that shows the breakdown
Me: haaa. Okay, I don't have spread sheet but I have a graduate offer letter
VO: turned it down and eventually declined the visa

Third Interview

Me: Good morning
VO: Good morning
Me: How are you
VO: Fine can you pass me your documents
Me : Sure
VO: why MS&T
Me: due to the fact that MS&T is one of the leading research universities in environmental related issues, I will be working with Prof Honglan whose research is a continuation of my undergraduate project which I worked on adsorption method but Prof Honglan will be working on development of nanoadsorbent
VO: who'll be funding the studies
Me: I got a full scholarship from the department in terms of GRA
VO: but I saw 50% assistantship here
Me: yes the assistantship is a 50% full time employment which covers my expenses, I have my offer letter here. ( I slide it to her immediately) I also have a funding calculator from the Graduate office can I pass it over
VO: no need
VO: so how did you get this assistantship

VO: no, so what will you be doing with this degree
Me: I will be coming back to Nigeria to fill up the vacuum of lead research analyst at FEPA where I did my undergraduate internship in conjunction with UI and I was awarded as one of the best intern, so with this recommendations and degree I'll be able to get the Job

I think the problem came from your choice of school or d reasons for settling with UCO over OSU. I graduated from OSU and the school is one of the best universities in Oklahoma. For you to pick UCO (which is a small Uni) over OSU, you need to really convince the VO.

oh ok, well uco offered me a Global diversity scholarship which is about 33% discount from the Total tuition fee I am meant to pay for my degree, and that is why I chose uco over osu. what do you think boss?

I agree with the first aspect but not the second one. Not everyone has family business to take up when they return, so it leaves them with the option of looking for and taking on jobs in Nigeria when they return. F1 is a nonimmigrant Visa and you need to demonstrate that you're returning to your country after your studies, in summary, you might be going from known to unknown, but that is what is expected of you when you're on student visa; you have to show strong hometies and plans that you're returning.

alright, thank you so much , I will tell them that I have to take over from my father's company , as the only son , that you s on the pipe .

the two reasons behind u coming back to Nigeria are contradictory , telling a vo that u will come back to from known to unknown (searching for a job in nigeria that has nothing is not real), expect u are coming to take up family business.

that's True brother, no job in naija o finally , ok then I will work on it , tnx so much

Your "why this course" and "how you'd utilise the degree" isn't tallying, it should!!!. At one point you want to take up a job at the ministry of labour, another time, you want to take over your family business. Work on that.

oh ok thanks so much you are very correct

Good day every one, I must confess that naira land is the best place to be for visa enquiries and the rest, I am kinda new on the platform but have been following up ever since I joined the platform.
I was denied of visa on the 15th of November 2019 but have rescheduled for another visa appointment at Abuja embassy for 5th of December, although the previous visa interview was at Lagos consulate but due to the fact that my school resumes on the 13th of January I reapplied but didn't see a good date at the Lagos consular so I went for that of Abuja, I will be sharing my first visa experience although it was quite brief but I will also be sharing my supposed visa conversation for my next Visa interview.
At the Lagos consulate, appointment time was 6:45am I arrived by 6:05 am but was delayed as I didn't print my SEVIS proof of payment , I went to the cafe and those guys frustrated my life when they said that my SEVIS payment has not reflected on the site , since on August 2019 , ah I nearly piss for my trouser, they printed a made up letter and gave to me to present on the place of SEVIS proof of payment and collected 2k from me, so I joined the queue and got to the point where I was asked for SEVIS proof of payment , I presented the made copy the cafe guys gave to me and the man looked at me like what!!!! and he wrote no SEVIS on my DS 160 and asked me to proceed , I went in for the interview but later discovered that some of us on my queue skipped the thumbprint session, so we had to go back for the thumbs print, I was praying that I be directed to the guy on window 9 as he was so calm and relaxed unlike the guys on window 6 and 7 but unfortunately , I was directed to the guy on window 6 and this was how the interview went.
Vo: Good morning
Me: went straight to meet him and I responded good morning sir.
Vo: your i20 and passport please
Me: quickly passed it to him
Vo: so why are you going to the us
Me: I am going to the university of central Oklahoma to do my masters in public administration to major in public non profit management.
Vo: why this course?
Me: the degree will help me with qualities such as * fund raising capabilities and at this point I went blank and couldn't remember anything , so i had to repeat same point again and he cuts in
vo: who is your sponsor?
Me: my father chief Ezenwa I was about to complete my sentence and he gave the yellow paper and said sorry at this point you are not eligible for the us visa , try again.
God I felt as if I was in out of life
So I got home and immediately got another visa appointment same day but this time around Abuja embassy for the 5th of December 2019.
Total school fees :$23600
But I gain a Global diversity scholarship which is $8000 About 32% discount from the Total school fees and this will last for two years of my masters program as I will be given$4000 each year of my study.
So my new proposed transcript is as follows.
Vo:where are you going to
Me: I am going to the university of central Oklahoma (uco) for my masters in public administration and non profit management.
Vo: why this course?
Me: this degree will prepare professionally to widen my horizon in The aspect of leadership and management skills, as I have The intention to return to Nigeria after my program to apply for the office of chief protocol officer in the ministry of labour and employment federal republic of NIGERIA, and with This degree I will stand a better chance for such job, and I will serve as a leader or attain key roles in the government Bodies, this degree will not limit me to government organization alone, as some private corporations such as the news and broad casting organization loves to hire those with masters in public administration for policy analysis and international organization management.
Vo:how many school did you apply to
Me:3 schools
Vo: name them
Me: Oklahoma State.university(osu) in still water, University of North Texas(until) in long beach and University of central Oklahoma (uco) in Edmond.
Vo: why did you choose uco
Me: I made my research and I discovered that uco has a flexible system of learning as students are allowed to create a customised system of learning such as * field studies, * internship*work shop* and independent studies so that they can be able to complete their degree faster.
Vo:how will you utilize this degree back home.
Me' after the completion of my masters, I plan coming home to take over from my family business and move it to a thriving State as I will be the one to do so in few years to come, and I also will go into partnership with the the (NDE) and some higher institution so that we can be able to establish an (Ngo) where I will be raising young minds on how to create a business of Their choice and also training them on how to become great leaders of tommorow as opposed to what we have currently in the country.
Vo: who is your sponsor?
Me : my uncle
Vo: in your previous application you stated your father as your sponsor , why now your uncle?
Me: my father has been so very ill of lately and I can not ascertain the outcome of event in the future , so my Uncle chose to take the responsibility.

I am so sorry if this is quite long but I will be so glad if the professionals in the platform can look into this, I am open to take corrections and adhere to any necessary development , thanks.
