Authorities say the girlfriend of former NFL player Buster Barnett, Lisa Brown pictured above kidnapped and killed his wife before killing herself.

Police officials say kidnapping suspect and victim are dead after a police chase that crossed state lines on July 16, 2015. Clayton County police say 49-year-old Sandra Barnett was kidnapped by Lisa Brown at her Ellenwood home on Wednesday afternoon. "Sandra was on the telephone with a friend when Lisa showed up at the front door," Police Capt. Richard Gandee said. "Lisa Brown was actually driving a vehicle owned by Buster."


Police spotted the Dodge Durango on Thursday and began a chase on Interstate 20 that spanned into Alabama. Alabama State Patrol troopers joined in when the chase crossed state lines.

The Durango suddenly stopped in the middle of the interstate at mile marker 208. At that point, authorities said Brown shot Sandra Barnett and turned the gun on herself.

Sandra Barnett was a teacher at McNair Middle School for more than two decades, according to Clayton County police.

Floyd Mayweather has been stripped of the World Boxing Organisation welterweight title that he won in the victory over Manny Pacquiao in May after failing to pay a mandatory sanction fee. 38-year-old Mayweather did not pay the $200,000 fee before Friday's deadline, the payment was supposed to be taken from the fight's reported $300m earning.

Mayweather, also failed to vacate his World Boxing Association (WBA) and World Boxing Council (WBC) junior middleweight – WBO rules state that a boxer can only hold belts in one weight class, they had given Mayweather time to make the decision on which weight to stick at.

Having missed the final deadline for the fee to be paid, the WBO has stripped Mayweather of the welterweight title and stopped acknowledging him as their champion.
