A man allegedly cut his wife’s breast on the eve of Valentine’s Day after accusing her of having an affair with his own brother.
He then turned the knife on himself, chopped off his penis and threw it outside the house. This incident happened in Kiganjo village, Thika, Kenya.
The woman, Margaret Achieng (pictured speaking to journalists) is currently admitted at Thika Level Five Hospital. She told journalists that she realised her husband had chopped off his m*****d after a neighbour had summoned the police.

The Lagos State Government on Friday inaugurated the Special Offences (Mobile) Court to summarily deal with growing cases of traffic and environmental abuses in the state with the view to bring sanity and civility in the conduct of residents.

The Mobile Court, which will be manned by highly-qualified Magistrates of the State Judiciary, will summarily try cases involving traffic and environmental offenders.

Speaking at the inauguration ceremony held at the Lagos State High Court in Ikeja, the State Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Mr. Adeniji Kazeem said the launch of the Mobile Court, was one of the ways through which the administration of Governor Akinwunmi Ambode aims to broaden the pathway that guaranty citizens’ access to justice and at the same time ensure the preservation of civility in the society.

He said the development was an institutional reaction to identified societal challenges, and that henceforth traffic offenders such as motorcyclists who drive against traffic and refused to obey traffic signs like zebra crossing and traffic light indication, would no longer find it easy to get away with commission of such crimes in the state.

The Supreme Court on Friday upheld the judgment of a Lagos High Court sentencing a man, Nonso Okeke to death for the murder of one Chinwe Ofomatu on October 28, 2004.

Okeke was convicted by the Lagos High Court on April 13, 2010 for the murder of Ofomatu at her residence in Festac Town, Lagos. He was found guilty, convicted and sentenced to death by the Court.

Okeke was convicted and sentenced to death by the trial court for conspiracy and murder contrary to Sections 324 and 319(1) of the Criminal Code Act Cap 17, Laws of Lagos State, 2003.

Dissatisfied, Okeke appealed his conviction in Lagos and asked that the judgment of the lower court be upturned. But the appeal failed as the appellate court dismissed the application.
