Please, how long does Sowp takes before it gets approved

Do I still need to show enough funds for tuition and living expenses for myself if I have paid 1st semester fees (it's a 1yr course). In my study permit application I used a sponsor and the sponsor promised to send me certain amount every quarter for my living

SOWP isn't just about him, but about you and him. You guys needs to show enough fund for your tuition and living expenses and his own living expenses for the duration of the stay. The money can be in same account or different accounts of yours and his.

Guys! Finally the remaining part of the puzzle was solved this morning after more than 28 emails and webforms back to back. Remember my kids got PPR on 28 June 2022 while my spouse got medical request. The medicals was done July 14th at IOM and the stamped passports of the kids was gotten back from abuja VSF of July 15th. Iom sent the result for medical on July 21st and IRCC uploaded that same day. Then another wait began and i started sending emails and webforms also at some point contacted my mp again. Yesterday morning we got BVL but this morning around 3.20am EDT she go the PPR. At last exactly 1year and 7days becos the application was submitted 22nd July 2021.
It has ended in praises. While waiting for her PPR i already booked airfrance for september just to buy time and also pay less flight fees even at that i paid pass 3k CAD

Yes, I applied for study permit in October last year, and got it April 2022, but my husband applied for study permit in march 2022 but was refused in may. So we plan on applying for spouse open work permit.

I really don't think you should talk about infertility. Reason for your spouse to join you can be to provide emotional support so you can concentrate on your studies

Hello Everyone, please does anyone have a sample gift deed for asset (landed property). Can I just get a letter from the person giving, stating he gifted me, and reason for the gift? Is affidavit needed? what of notary (I don't want to do this because it is expensive, they usually want to collect 10%-20% of the cost of the asset)? Do i need to change the name on the document to mine? Who should sign? And any information you think I might need for asset gift deed?

You cant you that solely as a reason because the VO will think if it was dat important to you that should have come first on your table of preference however as sweetjj said use emotional reasons your marriage is young no children yet and you are fond of ur spouse and need him/her for emotional support. Claim you can concentrate again moreso it is a new environment and your spouse is the better person when it comes to acclamatizing to new things and having him or her around will help boast your academic morale and also help as a support system in assisting you acclamatize better and achieve a better grade academically. Just an example though. So thing emotional but making babies also might be a form of distraction to ur studies from some VO point of view

Will writing about infertility issues and using documents to back it up be a good reason for a spouse's open work permit. We've been married for more than two years, but we don't have any children yet.

If that reason is a bad one, can you please advise on what to write in the letter of intent for why my spouse would like to join me? I have a 1 yr study permit.

Or better still, would visitor be a better option

I also plan to use my GCkey to apply, will I be the one to write a letter of purpose, or is it my spouse or both of us.

If it is both of us, kindly advise on what the content should look like

This letter is to explain the concerns raised by the VO and how best you have worked on it and made the required ammendments

Madam you already have a smoking gun so the ball is now in ur court. Since your study permit has been approved your best bet is sowp. Let me tell you why, becos your hubby has applied for study permit before the Vo might see a visit visa as been submitted out of desperation so my suggestion of SOWP. Now if i were you i would suggest u apply nigeria before you go so it starts counting. Once you are an internayional student whether college or university you can invite your spouse but how you go about it determines the success of the whole process. I applied while i was still in nigeria like 2weeks before finally i travelled last year july. And as we speak my kids application has been approved and my spouse got a medical request becos her initial medical expired on june 22 still hoping for her approval though but it looks good. When you apply u can add the remaining documents when u arrive Canada via webform i mean study permit and SIN.

My husband and I applied for study permit about the same time, I got an approval (1yr graduate study at centennial) while he got a refusal. I am set to resume by sep 2022. He was denied because the VO was not satisfied he will leave Canada based on personal asset and financial status, purpose of visit, current employment situation and travel history.

Please advise on the best route for his application (spouse or visit)?
How soon can I apply for him?
Some people said I can't invite him because I am studying in a college. How true is this please?

We have requested for gcms note, but we are thinking of what we can be putting in place before we get the gcms note. Please advise
