Pipeline vandalism, a by-product of corruption, is arguably the biggest problem that confronts us after Boko Haram, as a nation.
At an average of 1,500 pipeline-break a year!

I strongly support 'shoot on sight' against perpetrators of this evil act for the following reasons:

1. It costs the country billions of dollars in direct repairs, product loss, and downtime.

2. It costs health, lives, and income of locals in the affected areas.

3. It costs the country 'scarce Forex' -- a major cause of the falling Naira and insane inflation.

4. It is the major obstacle in the supply of power to businesses and homes -- without power, we use more fuel, spend more on 'gen', inverters, batteries, and other alternative power sources -- more out of our pockets 'cause of the greed or misguidance of some few.

5. It drives away investors.

6. The major sponsors of the perpetrators of this act, are the same people who stand to gain from fuel importation and importation of other alternative power sources -- it's less about 'marginalization' -- it is business -- it is evil-business!


So, it's either we stand up against it now, or for tribal and other sentiments keep paying the price with darkness (which we pay for by the way . . . . 'NEPA' gets their money still), job losses, failed businesses, poor health, inflation and e.t.c.


P.S. For pipeline vandals sympathizers, remember what happened to Boko Haram sympathizers ATEOTD.

I am not against any Fulani man coming to my village to buy a land and start up a ranch where he can rear his cattle within the confines of the ranch and not roaming with it along the road or in people's farms.

These days the most common thing that dirty car tyres on the highways are cow poo; Making our streets dirty and smelly. The killings that result from clash with these normads are very glaring for all to see. Imagine the lives wasted. Their dependents are going to suffer the consequences of a normad, unrestricted and living his life like it is 98 BC.

The fact remains that the SE played itself into political irrelevance with its politics of hatred and bigotry. Instead of making efforts to build bridges with other regions to strike political alliances, and make amends with other Nigerians that they insulted and derided during the last elections because of the IB, they are waiting cap in hand for appointments they said they never needed from the Amala/Tuwo party.
