Dark complexioned, 38 year old Male Muslim wants to take a bold step at a second Marriage. |
What type of gathering and what activities? I've learned not to look for places and activities that end up making me commit Bidah! The Sunnah (Fiqh) is there to learn from, the Holy Quran too. Why not learn to read the Quran instead or learn to speak Arabic. |
Stanleywaxy:Please check again. |

Hi Nairalanders. I'm not exactly a fashion freak but i'm quite conscious of my dressing and what i wear. I like to look simple, nice and decent. Truth be told, i like to get a second look or sometimes a long stare from both sexes (And i do get that a few times). Lately though, i've been on AWOL but I want to try something new. Can some of us try to dress me up for the week? It'll be lots of fun having the ladies contribute. Including fashion Whizzes and models alike here on nairaland. I'll tell you a bit about me and what i wear everyday of the week. Weekdays: I'm on the field, i'm expected to wear casuals to work, then at work i'm on PPE most of the time (from 8am to 5pm). No ties, No fancy shoes (Safety shoes/boots instead). No H&Cs No native wears on Fridays. Saturdays: Indoors with family until midday to visit friends and relatives. Sundays: Outdoors to visit friends and relatives too! Etcetera. My Dress sense: I like clean pair of blue jeans Black colored chinose pants Polo T-shirts Designer Short-sleeves Simple Leather shoes (safety boots) Simple chain wristwatch So let's have you suggest items of clothing for me.....with their designer names of course. From Color of top and matching shorts, to the right pair of fitting shoes for each day. Don't forget to include the stores in Lagos where i can get "the original". Don't get it twisted, i do draw attention with my style. I just want to see how a change of wardrobe by the populace will affect my personality. ![]() |
The community seriously needs the attention of the State government. Your efforts will go a long way in actualizing our dreams. Kindly help tweet,re-tweet,broadcast,share and publicize this information till it gets to Ambode. We are hoping. |
After going through the list of roads for rehabilitation recently rolled out by the Lagos state government I have become more discouraged about any likelihood of seeing development in my place of residence in the next four years.

Hello House, While seeking a solution to some challenges I experienced lately, I set out to study some articles peculiar to the Nigeria environment and I discovered some shocking topics online. Some of them talked about denial by either spouse for one reason or the other. Others discussed domestic chores and how the man of the house should assist. What got me thinking was the denial part. Why would any woman deny her husband of sex? I understand it happens. My questions are:- (1) Isn't the action a good reason to suspect infidelity? (2) Could the woman be treating an STD and hiding her status from Hubby? (3) Could she simply be unhappy or tired of the marriage? Experienced nairalanders please what other likely reasons can you help with? |
@OP: You slept with another man's Wife. Probably someone's mother. It's only a matter of time...before the tables turn. Meanwhile, H.E.L.L Fire is warming up to receive you. |
Richy4:Wow! That's something. Yomieluv:They'll already believe you're looking down on them. |
Hello House! I have shared living spaces with people of diverse backgrounds since my many years in Lagos. The experience has been rewarding in some cases and very unpleasant in other cases. Unpleasant experiences have stemmed from different scenarios with generator use, security fees, electricity power supply to water issue. Others have been closure time for access gate, dispute on PHCN bill etc. Pleasant experiences have only been recorded with neighbors who have a high level of maturity, are also professionals who leave home early and arrive late in the night.(We probably don't know each other well enough). The level of harmony or otherwise enjoyed in a neighborhood is a result of the relationship and understanding existing between neighbors. How do you relate with your neighbors? |
Justfollowit:Is there really a trend or we have men these days trying to avoid polygamy by all means. Meanwhile, some engage in illicit relationships outside the home to compliment their legal affairs. I understand the Quran calls it Zinah and its consequences are grevious. |
iamtheprincipal:I'm doing my best in that regard, i realize i can do better with a little input from "accomplished you" though. However, i shouldn't get your input only when the topic reads...."Recklessly approaching age 40, how to salvage what's left of my uneventful life". Lets hear your idea on what capacity development for 40 year olds should be. |
johnjon:But we don't know how old you are. |
Hello Nairalanders, I am in my late 30s which means I'm close to clocking the proverbial "A fool at 40". As a responsible Husband and parent my thinking is that I should do off with Jeans and T-shirts (Which till date is my best outfit). Can I possibly get suggestions from the house on responsible ways to dress and still look young and responsible. Advice on new and trending dress combinations and where to get them will be highly appreciated. |
Salam Alaiykum Muslim Brothers and Sisters. In my years as a youth (in my teenage days) I always asked myself why men engage in polygamy when they could easily live peacefully with one caring woman. Lately, many years down the line. I have thought of the need for a second wife more often than I have brushed my teeth...which is quite often. (1) I want to know exactly what Islam says about Polygamy. (2) When it is necessary to take the hand of a second Woman and bring her into the home. (3) How to go about it in order to avoid Allah's wrath. (4) All the necessary steps to take to prevent the usual commotion among women. Etc For other Brothers who are also considering going thesame way, please let's have your reasons or let's probably attempt to talk each other out of it. Educative contributions will be highly appreciated INSHA ALLAH! |
