Let me tell u all one thing, Once you score 200 and above in Jamb, You have the chances of getting an admission, What you should all be looking at is preparations for the Post Ume examination, Post ume matters Alot, U have to take it very serious, Jamb will be divided by 8 while Post Ume 2, do the calculation in percentage,

I also have a kid sister applying for Mass communication, Thatz what am into admission palava this year, am still trying my best to get the cut off here, [size=8pt][/size]

DOnt believe in runs, I gat my admission without any help from any man, Na GOs sure pass,

was checking through some stuff at the admissions offfice and also talking to some pepes i know, This year admission is going to be a little more easier cos of the new innovaton of the computer based test.

i think some certain factors are going to be considered in terms of computer usage and accuracy, No cut off mark has been released yet,


But i can assure you that 65% of student who sat for the exams scored below 50%,

The University of Lagos hereby announces the details of its 2009 Post-UME Screening Exercise for Admission into ALL COURSES/PROGRAMMES for the 2009/2010 Academic Year. It should be noted that the screening would be computer-based in relevant UME subjects.



A. DATE AND TIME:



The Screening Exercise will take place according to the schedule below between Thursday 9th July and Thursday 16th July, 2009 from 9.00a.m each day




B. ELIGIBLE CANDIDATES:



All candidates who scored 200 and above and have made UNILAG their FIRST CHOICE Institution, in the Joint Admission University Matriculation Examinations are eligible for the screening. In addition the candidates must have (five) 5 credit passes in relevant O’level subjects including Mathematics and English Language at ONE sitting.Candidates awaiting results are also eligible.



GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS:



(i) GSM, electronic calculators and other devices are not allowed.

(ii) Parents, Guardians and other unauthorised personnel within and outside the University will not be allowed on the campus and the screening centres during the Post-UME Exercise.





C.PROCEDURE FOR POST-UME SCREENING:



(i) Candidates are to make payment of N1,000.00 to any branch of

· UBA Account No: 01680300000147

with the candidate’s registration number.

(ii) Candidates are advised to visit the University of Lagos Website i.e www.unilag.edu.ng, and follow the steps below to print out the screening slip.

· Candidate clicks on Post-UME on the Unilag Home Page

· Enters UME Registration Number

· Prints the Unilag Post-UME Screening Slip

The University of Lagos has partnered with Electronic Test Company (ETC) to conduct electronic Post-UME Screening Test for candidates seeking admission into the University for the 2009/2010 academic session.



A memorandum to this effect was signed on Wednesday, May 6, 2009, in the Vice-Chancellor’s office. The Vice-Chancellor, Professor Tolu Odugbemi OON, NNOM, FAS, signed on behalf of the University, while Mr. Damilda Bamiro signed on behalf of Electronic Test Company.



Professor Odugbemi thanked ETC for collaborating with the University in its effort to fully computerize all activities on campus. He urged the company to execute the project on time. He reiterated his commitment to Internet connectivity on campus.



In response, the Executive Director of ETC, Mr. Damilda Bamiro expressed the commitment of his company to the project and assured the University of a quality job.
