I am working on blowdown of HP gas line, as the stream is liquid free I need to do adiabatic blowdown as well as cold temp BD. I need help with the compressor settle out conditions calculation as well as literatures.

It rocks for me. All I would say to you is that as an engineer any opportunity you get to go on site should never be treated with levity. Take this opportunity to ask as many questions as possible even if it is just in maintenance; trust me you learn a lot more about processes when things go wrong.

Thanks Debosky/Kenny. My PM is not too keen on amine as is the client mainly because of the huge capital cost. I am looking at the membrane options especially one that can remove mecarptans as well.once again thanks guys

@kenny, this is a UK facility and the plan is to connect to the national grid.
The fwhp is about 90bar.

I just stumbled on this thread; hoping some of the gurus here can help with this problem.
I am working on a pre-feed study for a gas plant. The gas is high in H2S (1500ppm) but reasonably low CO2 (3.5%). The client is looking for a budget/safe/reliable package to handle 30MMSCFD of gas. I need help with the best method to remove the acid gas and how to achieve the dewpoint.

If the Nigerian govt have any dignity the would pick up the bill incured so far and whatever is needed till the children are able to fly back. That way they can prove to the UK govt that we are not a nation of scroungers, leave that title to the somalis, indians etc. But would our govt do that? Not a chance; one of thetop 10 oil producing countries in the world and our govt cannot step in and sort out a £200k bill of one of its citizens

I'm in a quagmire as regards my career at the moment. I have recently gotten admission to a school in Scotland to do my MSC in a very promising field in ICT and just yesterday got a Job Offer from one of the foremost insurance firms in the country(In their IT department). Quickly pounced on the offer cos i have been out of sorts in my current place and the benefits are very good though the pay could be better. Kinda confused on whether to just defer the admission indefinitely till further notice or plunge into the deep and head out for the MSC. . What do you think guys?

My tuppence worth here, since you are not degree qualified in IT, this p/g course might actually help you get a stronghold in the field; 'cause at the end of the day when you are up against people who are IT qualified and with equal/similar level of experience for a job that might actually count against you.
