Pipsland78:We in SA await for the government of Nigeria to compensate the SCOAN victims, also taking into consideration the time it took Nigeria to identify the victims. Nigeria stop embarrassing yourself! You have failed to compensate the thousands of people displaced by BH in your backyard and now you come to SA for what again? Worse thing you recently did was summoning your ambassadors home living your citizens destitute. so much for a caring nation that you call yourselves. |
firstolalekan:Good. Keep throwing tantrums. It does you some good. |
Unfortunately you are over there. Here in SA and elsewhere in the world there is big money to be made out of the owner boss. You would sue his ass goed yong!!! |
Drug dealing in a country that carries death penalty for this sort of thing is barbaric. Why even think it though I just don't get it. I'm not implying that you "excel" in those countries that don't have the death penalty in place. Drug dealing is not just an offence, it is a crime punishable anywhere in the world by law. So if you find yourself caught in Indonesia, don't be surprised that death awaits you. |
Mariojane:I am a South African and not a fool. I love my foreign brothers and sisters. I treat all with respect. I am hard working, God fearing and educated. |
1stola:Hmmm, you know I was just reading President Jacob Zuma's response to a later written by one prominent Mozambican author and I could tell that he was trying hard not to sound insensitive, unkind and uncaring. He apologised for what has been a sore sight to many including South Africans like myself but at the end of his response he sad: "The citizens grievances can not be ignored as well." This just got me thinking and what came to my mind at first was: All these years SADEC migrants have been the biggest challenge for SA and the govt of the day has failed to address this either by engaging with the SADEC states involved or by making changes in the immigration act. Post 1994 there was no education in terms of making known to the citizens and the young generation the role and contribution that many African countries including Nigeria played in the liberation of SA. We did not see that also after the 2008 attacks which saw more than 60 dead including 22 South Africans. South Africans lived in isolation pre 1994 and one required a permit to move from one province to another. There were and there is still a lot of tribal divisions because of the tribal segregations created by the apartheid government. The neighbouring country Botswana has not seen such an influx of foreigners despite it having a good economy and one thing I attribute this to is their death penalty and tight immigration laws. SA basically has no barrier and people walk in from all sides making it difficult to manage. But what is annoying most is the mentality of some SA's on foreigners. Forget "they are taking our jobs" explanation. Smelly armpits, untidiness is some of the negative comments I hear from SA's about fellow brothers and sisters. The hatred can be felt most from the Zulu tribe, the tribe of the presiding President. Finally my view is that what is happening in SA today is one of the symptoms that portray Africa as a failure. It is NOT a South African problem but rather a continental problem. Leaders from other African states need to ask themselves why people are living their respective land for another? Let us hold whosoever we placed in power accountable as they take a break from looting. |
tchidi:Let me say drug dealers create a market for themselves. One of their strategy is to pry on those who look worried and confused or sick. They will offer you at first and second time for free. Then you start chasing them. Families are being destroyed. Here in SA they use corner stands mostly as fronts meanwhile they lure the young and naïve, the old and disturbed. |
AgapeCharis:I hear you. ![]() |
AgapeCharis:Yeah, Nigerians are very warm people. It is so embarrassing being South African at the moment. ![]() |
AgapeCharis:I do see good in Nigeria, and so much potential. And I'm hopeful that things are going to change for the good with the new government. I believe they can turn things around so the people can benefit from the wealth of the country. I will not miss visiting Calabar and Port Harcourt in my next visit. That is if my visit will not annoy some people seeing the cold shoulder SA has given the Nigerian people. |
AgapeCharis:We are talking of Nigeria here as a country. see your problem now? WHAT IS YOUR VILLA COMPARED TO NIGERIA AS A WHOLE? IT IS PEOPLE YOU HAVE ALSO APPOINTED TO POWER THAT DERAIL THE NATION OF NIGERIA, THE KIND THAT THINKS LIKE YOU. YOU ARE JUST ALRIGHT WITH THINGS GOING ONLY FOR YOURSELF. YOU DONT CARE THAT SOMEONE, I MEAN YOUR FELLOW COUNTRYMAN DONT HAVE WHAT YOU HAVE. YOU HAVE CREATED A COCOON FOR YOUSELF AND YOU FEEL GOOD ABOUT. SHAME ON YOU. LEARN TO CARE FOR OTHERS AND BUILD NIGERIA. |
justwise:Thabo Mbeki did not leave SA with the whole country to come stay in Nigeria. Neither did he sell drugs, scam people and interfere with others peace. Our people were housed in camps. And I bet you they were not more than 3000 in number. |
justwise:you are in denial. very sad for you that you cant spot the difference even in a much bigger picture. You must be blind. |
justwise:Whites are not ruling my country, the natives of the land are in charge. Yeah, like you solved Boko Haram, the lack of power supply, lack of clean water, malaria, typhoid fever, polio, need I continue? lack of free basic healthcare, you don't even have care for the old citizens, the list is endless... |
AgapeCharis:No wait, Onitsha's too far. It was in Lagos I saw most. But still Nigeria has potential. |
justwise:You got the whole thing wrong. There is a very noticeable difference between SA and Zim but only to the ones who have their eyes open. Yes I have been to Nigerian villages. The roads are bad, the night is pitch black, not even a beam of light. Truly sad I must add. |
justwise:Infact I landed in your disorganised Muhammed Murtala airport. As the plane descended it got very clear to me how bad things are on the ground. Not even that was enough to prepare me for what I later saw. But again, the people are so warm to foreigners unlike some of my SA brothers and sisters. |
AgapeCharis:Lagos, Onitsha which is in the South East. I'm only responding to vile comments about my SA. Don't take it personally. |
justwise:if that's the case what ARE YOU DOING IN SA? |
justwise:The economy that benefits a handful. Your statement means nothing to an old hungry granny somewhere in the forgotten village of Nigeria or your hungry youth. |
justwise:I have been to Nigeria and there is absolutely nothing to write home about. You rely on peasent farmers to supply your whole country with food. You don't have any mechanism of support for your farmers. Currently 50% of farmers here are black and guess what? They are using the latest technology in farming. We can't say the same for you though. Don't compare us to Zim OR YOURSELVES, we have nothing in common accept in your mind. What did you develop for yourselves? Are you talking about your airports that look like old dirty train stations in the bundu? Or are you talking about your roads and infrastructure? But then again, what infrastructure? I just don't know what the heck you on about. Today the same Ghana you retaliated against is doing much better than you. So what does this say about you and your big mouth? |
justwise:Answer all questions do not be selective...lol But I understand, you don't have a thingy to say |
justwise:LOOK VERY WELL. YOU OBVIOUSLY ARE NOT SURVIVING IN NIGERIA. EVERYONE'S DREAM OVER THERE IS TO GET AWAY FROM THE DUSTY DARK COUNTRY FOR GREENER PASTURES. |
justwise:See South Africa saw things from a different perspective. We learned to be tolerant of "whites" not because we so love them but needed them to continue investing in this country through their formal businesses. Makes me wonder why Nigerians never saw beyond their hatred for whites, and not only did they hate whites, they went as far as chasing Ghanaians from their country and as a result Nigeria's relations with Ghana remain sour to date. How did you benefit from your hatred? Nothing I guess as your country is still in shambles. Today most Nigerians sleep hungry and I know very well this is because of your greediness against your own people. Only a hand full of Nigerians are beneficiaries of the fruits of your good economy. Nigeria's wealth is in the hands of a few people who continue to live lavish lifestyles while their neighbours suffer. That in itself is the worse form of torture against your fellow people. OH YOU TALK OF BALLS, YOU MEAN THE SAME ONES THAT LANDED NIGERIA IN THE SHIT IT IS IN NOW? You are becoming a liability to other countries. You always seek attention, for the west to assist you even going as far as saying the world is not helping Nigeria fight BH. Yet you yourselves remained absent from the zones of conflict. I'm completely against the killing of foreigners in my country and I strongly believe the government should have put majors in place to avert such since the 2008 xenophobic attacks. The mentality of some South Africans is that foreigners are dirty, stupid and always at their mercy. What shocked most receptive South Africans was the government sluggish response to the attacks and their failure to reprimand the stupid Zulu King for inciting all this violence. I've mingled with foreign nationals since my days in varsity and continue to do so as I am married to a foreigner. I receive all foreigners with love and treat them with respect irrespective of where they come from, culture and all. Unfortunately some of my brothers and sisters are not seeing this from my view. |
justwise:Look around you, you are obviously not coping. Or else your countryman wouldn't leave Nigeria in such numbers for elsewhere. I am surprised to hear so many testimonies on your Christian tv channels on granted visas. It's a shame that many's dreams there is to just get away. Yes, you chased them away but today it's rather embarrassing seeing that many of you are leaving Nigeria for the whiteman's land. |
justwise:But since you are smart why is your power supply not smart? You experience interruptions up to over 60 times a day? Why Nigeria? Why hey? See Ghana's got it going well. You were so adamant that the white man was your problem and chased him out but it seems you are your own problem. |
justwise:Look, your guavament waited till the Nigeria earth was soaked with blood shed by the insurgents before doing something. Need I continue? |
justwise:You have no idea what you are saying hey> Zims started jumping fences long before your 2012. Infact they became our adopted child since 1997. At least we remain in our land , we can not say the same about you. Inspite of your informal business in Nigeria infrastructure is still at zero. Till today you have no town planners and your villages are still disorderly built. Look at your airports, so sad but you possess a lot of natural resources that you hand out in exchange for money from the west. How unwise of you. You rather choke on dollars than seeing to the wellbeing of your country. You have even shown hatred to your fellow countryman without any regret. Let me awaken you for a moment: Why are individuals owning oil wells in your country? If you start addressing some of those things Nigeria would be a better place for all. |
justwise:you are somewhat correct. Nigerians have been hardened by circumstances in their own country. The hunger, the tribal war and even years of liberation has not brought any relief to the nation. What can I say. It is hard to compete with those whose feet and fingers have been hardened through manual labour, I mean manual farming and hunting....lol |
Toofan007:Boko Haram has massacred thousands of those who can not even defend themselves. I'm talking lactating mothers and their infants, the old and sick. And that did not get you talking enough haaah? If your Nigeria is so lovely why bother leave another land? Now, let me give you numbers since seeing you are clueless. Sadly 7 people lost their lives in these attacks and according to reports Nigerians are not amongst this number. The first step made in identifying someone would be through checking their identity documents...oh I forgot that you people carry fake documents all the time. |
justwise:Your beloved Nigeria should do more to keep you and your siblings in that land. Are there any geographical demarcations because you people are all over? If your country loved you so much they should have provided for you and the rest before you started being a liability to other people. There is more incompetence I see in Nigeria than in SA. Look at your land, shameful! Develop your own and stop embezzling and looting what belongs to all natives of that land. Stop being greedy and SEE NIGERIA PROSPER THAN AND OTHER AFRICAN STATE. |
justwise:Like I have sad: You are the same species as the xenophobic people here. How many Nigerians are amongst the dead? Do you know the numbers that you would concern yourself to an extent of killing another? How many has Boko Haram killed before your broken/fraught government took action? And here you are talking about the loss of human life as if you have any idea of its value. |

I just don't get it. I'm not implying that you "excel" in those countries that don't have the death penalty in place. Drug dealing is not just an offence, it is a crime punishable anywhere in the world by law. So if you find yourself caught in Indonesia, don't be surprised that death awaits you.
