That's fishgate, the PM and Sunak just got their fines, NL may need to send you your fine for that when you should have been sat at home......

grin

You get bored of staying at home during lock down especially if you are a bachelor and working from home for almost 2 years straight so that was our outlet. Body no be firewood.

Our ogas and madams in the UK..

Bikonu, ejoor , make una dey tell us some of the dos and donts to observe in the UK, make person no enter wahala.

16. Learn to respect peoples personal spaces and don't move uncomfortably too close to strangers in public.

17. Let people off the train before you get on as you don't want to headbutt someone getting off the train just because you are rushing to get a seat.

18. Follow the speed limits when driving as there are speed cameras littered all over UK roads.

19. Forget about driving without Driving Licence, MOT, Road Tax or insurance as apart from being randomly stopped by Patrolling Police, every CCTV / traffic light combination will run your number plate through a central database and if your car is lacking Road Tax / MOT or Insurance and you are unlucky that an ANPR (Automatic Number Plate Recognition) patrol police car is nearby on a sting operation, the CCTV in real time notifies an ANPR police car that is lurking round the corner who will have an easy task stopping you a few seconds or minutes later and UK police now have the right to seize uninsured cars and crush them to pulp.

20. You can only use your car horn while your car is moving and you need to warn other road users of your presence. Never sound your horn aggressively.

You MUST NOT use your horn: while stationary on the road or when driving in a built-up area between the hours of 11.30 pm and 7.00 am except when another road user poses a danger.

you say? the warmth weather did you well lol

Actually I haven't had a drop today although I downed a whole bottle of Gordons Gin at a Naija Restaurant in Blackheath on Thursday night.

Decided to respect myself and stay at home yesterday although I'm getting the itch to go out and get plastered or semi plastered tonight. I'll see how much longer I can resist.

There is also a place in Lewisham where we go to eat Live point and Kill Catfish throughout lockdown and up till now at £20 to £35 per fish in Lewisham at one Alhaja's place and for night crawlers like me it was a second home as it doesn't close early.

11. Don't attempt to do Kabu kabu (illegal Taxi) in the UK as that became a criminal offence some years ago.

12. If you are a man, don't make a habit of pursuing / chasing any woman you see on the road as you could be accused of harassment in a country that is laced with CCTV's

13. Don't use public spaces as your toilet 'cos for example in London there is now 1 CCTV Camera for every 13 people , meaning there are now 691,000 CCTV Cameras in London and the average Londoner is caught on CCTV 300 times a day. so, in the UK your every move in public is being caught on camera.
https://www.cctv.co.uk/how-many-cctv-cameras-are-there-in-london/

14. Also as a man, don't go hugging women willy nilly as you could get done for sexual assault.

15. Revenge porn is a criminal offence that could send you to jail for 2 years or more.

No 3 touch me ooo. I am all about our people raising our people. ... how can we grow if we run away from each other

Nigerians are not interested in mutual growth but someone they can compete or show off to.

Customers striking back.

It took me a little while to decode what you meant but I get it now.

Really customers striking back or most likely a street guy targeting the fact that people drop their guards and bags in the church thinking that churches are one of the safest places to be.

3. The less the number of Nigerian friends you have the better for you.

Why the bolded pls?

Its hard to explain and whilst I hate to tar all Nigerians in the UK with the same brush, when you hear of cases when a pastors wife's credit card was stolen from right inside her bag in the church sanctuary, it tells you that some people can be so bold in their criminality and there are a caliber of Nigerians in the UK that had no transferable skills to bring to the UK from Naija but they managed to get a visa during the Non Appearance Visa regime some years ago and these people will obviously gravitate to crime plus a lot of Nigerians have a penchant for not telling the truth.

What did the man do to her?undecided

I don't have a clue as I am just relaying what my friend told me that whenever his Dad goes to wee and misses the toilet bowl due to his blindness, he gets flogged with koboko by his wife.

But regardless, who flogs a blind person (especially someone in their eighties) who can not defend themselves or know where the lashes are coming from.

1. Don't claim benefits you are not entitled to from the Govt as it may take 25 years to find out but they probably will and even if they don't you don't want to make a habit of taking what you are not entitled to.

2. Always pay your taxes as tax evasion carries a 5 year prison sentence.

3. The less the number of Nigerian friends you have the better for you.

4. Save, save and save to get a deposit to buy your own house (Mortgage) as all rent is waste and your propert(ies) will serve as a good source of pension and wealth in future.

5. IF you ever need to flog your errant school age pikin, make sure it is on the palm.

6. Not sure if you are a man but if you are, NEVER hit a woman.

7. You can go to prison for 8 years if your wife says get up and you say wait till I finish as from the point you carry on regardless, it is called marital rape.

8. Don't drink and drive or drive withouth insurance as if you hav an accident in such circumstances, you will be jailed. Also do not drive if you have been banned from driving.

9. Don't listen to ANY Nigerian who tries to teach you ways to beat the system (e.g fiddle with your electric meter) or make easy money as any easy money comes with a greater than 50% probability that you will end up in jail.

10. If you have a son in the UK, just know that black boys are picked on by the UK educational system and learn to do your own research / tough love at home and not believe everything negative they say about your son.

Good stuff! Nearly a week ago, a friend mentioned to me how man had become a joke in his own house. He was pulling all the stunts for years. Unfortunately life, ill-health and frailty set in, and the wife now makes a joke out of him. Look after you health and well being.
All is well.

True talk. A friends Mum in Nigeria waited for her 80 something year old husband to go blind before unleashing torture on the blind man.

Whenever he goes to wee and he misses the toilet bowl due to his blindness, she locks the front door and starts flogging the blind man with koboko to the point that the neighbors have to break the door down to rescue the blind husband from her koboko.

And these are people who studied in England many years ago.

The vulture is a patient bird.

Marriage is indeed a mixture of luck & gamble........ cheesy

Marriage is a case of shopping in the dark as you do not know what you are getting LONG TERM - similar to buying non testing goods.

ALL humans change with time and your amenable wife / husband at year 0 WILL not be the same person in 5 years time and will have changed further in year 10 and if you have the rose tinted view like most of us had when we are young that this your lover will remain the same till death do you part, you most likely will be unpleasantly shocked at the changes that happen to a marriage and its participants with the passage of time and the stresses of life and child rearing.

Someone once said that for your marriage to work, you have to be prepared that you are marrying 3 or 4 different people rolled into one - as that single partner of yours will change character many times in your marriage.

Please, what advice do you have for someone like me who is already in the process of coming to study MSc in International Business with Data Analytics? I have 7 years of work experience in HR in Nigeria prior to now. I am also working on horning my data analytics skills through self-study. Are there any prospects? or things I can do to boost my chances?

You can boost your chances by doing a SQL Server Database Course and pass an introductory SQL Certification exam before you leave Nigeria.
