I was reading the 2025 Smart DNA Report this morning and something struck me. They said 25% of all paternity tests in Nigeria came back negative. That’s literally 1 in 4 men raising children that aren't theirs.

But the part that really finished me was that 64% of first-born sons tested were not biologically related to the fathers.

As a bachelor, I’m starting to think that the way we approach trust in this country is logically flawed. Why is it that when a man asks for a DNA test, the woman starts crying and calling him distrustful, but when we do japa (Immigration) tests, nobody complains?

Logically, if you have nothing to hide, a DNA test should be as normal as a Genotype test before dating. Is it that our women are more afraid of the truth than the distrust? I feel like trust has become a emotional weapon used to silence men from seeking scientific certainty.

What do you guys think? Is it better to be a man that trust women or a scientific skeptic in this 2026 dating market?

This Malami and EFCC drama is becoming a movie. Just yesterday, Malami's people were complaining that the EFCC marked his houses even though the 14-day interim forfeiture order from January has expired. Now they’ve come back today with 5 buses to seal the place completely?

The EFCC wouldn't just show up like this unless they got a fresh 'Notice of Possession' from the court this morning to stop him from moving anything out. Plus, he just got bail last week for that DSS case, so the timing is very intentional. It looks like they want to keep him grounded before the next hearing on the 57 properties. The neighborhood is basically a 'No-Go Area' right now. Let’s see if his lawyers will bring another abuse of power statement by evening.

Which brings an important question. Why are you so involved in your friend's fertility journey?

I have known my friend for 12 solid years even before he got married to his wife, he knows me too, you see we have been closed like brothers ever since, I was actually his best man in his wedding, so you see I know everything about him, nothing to hide except the ones he kept secret, like I said in my post the wife knows am his closest friend and for that reason thinks I will betray my close friend by keeping her dirty secret private, which I will never do, Cause that is pure wickedness.

I don't actually want you to believe it, I just can't hide a secret that will make my friend look like a fool.

I have been away from Nairaland for over a year now, focusing on my life and career. I didn’t plan to come back here, but what I witnessed this past weekend has left me trembling. I cannot keep this secret alone; it is eating me alive.

My close friend, Tunde (not his real name), has been married for 7 years without a child. The guy has spent millions on fertility treatments, herbs, and prayers. The wife always told me Tunde was the "problem" but that he refused to go for a clinical sperm test out of "male pride." I always pitied her and encouraged Tunde to go, but he remained stubborn.

The Timeline of the Betrayal:

Friday Evening: I met them at a lounge in Ikeja to celebrate. Tunde was over the moon, buying drinks for everyone. He told me, "Lonesoldier, God has finally remembered me!" He was even showing me the baby clothes and a stroller he already bought.

Saturday Afternoon: The wife called me, sounding very troubled. We met privately because she knows I am Tunde’s closest confidant. She broke down crying and confessed: She is 3 months pregnant, but the baby belongs to their Church Marriage Counselor.

The Reason: She said she "helped" Tunde because he is "useless" in that department and she couldn't wait any longer.

The Cover-up: She told me the Counselor himself advised her to keep the secret to "maintain peace in the home" and give Tunde the joy of fatherhood, even if it’s a lie.

I haven't been able to sleep. Every time I see Tunde’s WhatsApp status with "Thank You Jesus" captions, I feel like vomiting. If I tell him, I will destroy a 7-year marriage and a man's joy. If I don't, I am watching my brother raise a marriage counselor's child as a fool.

To those that contributed nicely, I solemnly appreciate your response, to those that contributed otherwise, I have nothing to prove to you. So I have decided to tell my close pal about his cheating wife on Wednesday tomorrow, I know this will break his heart, but it will save him a lot of suffering knowing that his first seed which he is thinking is his, is not actually his.

This is what women and religious so called holy men of God can do, as a man always watch your marriage closely, do plenty of DNA test to make sure, your kids are actually yours, things are happening in this world.

How did you come to this conclusion? Yes we know the Arabian world don't take bullshit from anyone and are very strict with there way of life, but I think most of them are not that stupid to be so docile and inactive to do some simple chores or go to market, well we have so many women, some tend to be useless why some tend to be useful.

The Arabs of North Africa aren't real Arabs. The are Arabized Berbers. Many don't share any DNA with Gulf Arabs. Zinedine Zidane is a Berber and not Arabized.

Sudanese Arabs are Arabized blacks.

Even Lebanese, Palestinians and part of Jordan are not considered pure Arabs. So many races went through their areas and there were lots of intra racial marriages and kids.

The ones considered pure Arabs are the Saudi's, Yemeni's, Omani's Kuwaiti's, Bahraini's and Emirati's. Even they may not be that pure.

It is believed by some that the the Saud family who today rule Saudi Arabia originated from Turkey.

You are very correct when you said that the Arabs of today are not purely Arabs but I think Omani's Kuwaiti should not be in the list, I think they are pure Arabs. Countries like Kuwait, Qatar, Somalia, the United Arab Emirates, Iraq and Yemen are all pure descendants of Arabic origin. Although there are many I didn't mention, but I am sure about this one's.
