I was reading the 2025 Smart DNA Report this morning and something struck me. They said 25% of all paternity tests in Nigeria came back negative. That’s literally 1 in 4 men raising children that aren't theirs. But the part that really finished me was that 64% of first-born sons tested were not biologically related to the fathers. As a bachelor, I’m starting to think that the way we approach trust in this country is logically flawed. Why is it that when a man asks for a DNA test, the woman starts crying and calling him distrustful, but when we do japa (Immigration) tests, nobody complains? Logically, if you have nothing to hide, a DNA test should be as normal as a Genotype test before dating. Is it that our women are more afraid of the truth than the distrust? I feel like trust has become a emotional weapon used to silence men from seeking scientific certainty. What do you guys think? Is it better to be a man that trust women or a scientific skeptic in this 2026 dating market? |
Teenaira:It’s a battle of figures. EFCC is saying the math doesn't add up, how does ₦15bn in reported earnings buy ₦213bn worth of properties? They are looking at the ₦5.9bn Maitama duplex and the Meethaq Hotels as evidence of money laundering. On the other hand, Malami’s lawyers are arguing that the valuations are 'exaggerated' and that his businesses were already booming before 2015. The real question is whether he can prove the source of funds for the ₦200bn gap. That’s why the court ordered the Interim Forfeiture, it’s like the court is saying, 'Hold on, let’s see the receipts first.' |
Zooposki:Calling people 'fake' based on genetics or a 'fairy book' is actually the oldest trick for people who haven't studied modern history or DNA. Logically, the people living in Israel today are a mix of Sephardic, Mizrahi, and Ashkenazi Jews—all of whom have documented Middle Eastern genetic markers that go back thousands of years. It’s not about fairy tales, it’s about archaeology and peer-reviewed science. As for winning, war isn't a game of destiny; it’s a game of technology and strategy. In the June 2025, 12-Day War and the recent war (Feb 2026), the side with the superior air defense and precision technology achieved their objectives while the other side lost their command centers and nuclear infrastructure. If growing sense means ignoring the last 2 years of geopolitical reality, then I’d rather stick to the facts. Let’s argue with data, not emotions. |
This Malami and EFCC drama is becoming a movie. Just yesterday, Malami's people were complaining that the EFCC marked his houses even though the 14-day interim forfeiture order from January has expired. Now they’ve come back today with 5 buses to seal the place completely? The EFCC wouldn't just show up like this unless they got a fresh 'Notice of Possession' from the court this morning to stop him from moving anything out. Plus, he just got bail last week for that DSS case, so the timing is very intentional. It looks like they want to keep him grounded before the next hearing on the 57 properties. The neighborhood is basically a 'No-Go Area' right now. Let’s see if his lawyers will bring another abuse of power statement by evening. |
grandstar:Look let's face facts here, listen closely to what am about to say Interception rates are only one part of the math. If you fire 200 missiles and 10 get through to hit a field or a pavement, but the enemy fires 50 and wipes out your entire S-300 air defense system and your missile production factories, who really won? In the 12-Day War of 2025 and the strikes this past February, the 'embarrassment' wasn't a few leaked missiles, it was the fact that the shield was stripped away. Israel and the US proved they could fly over Tehran with impunity to hit high-value targets, including the leadership. You can't say 'I dey my dey' when your defensive 'wall' has been knocked down. Intercepting 92% of a swarm is a military success, losing your nuclear infrastructure and top commanders in the remaining 8% is a strategic catastrophe. Let’s focus on the 'End State,' not just the Fireworks. After the US and Israel have bashed the heads of Iran in a platter with so many disgraceful moments of last year 2025 and 2026 current war, you have the effontry to tell me who wins between Israel and Iran, I think you should answer that for yourself |
richiemcgold:Your illogical arguement has no base, answer my previous questions labelled on my initial reply before reading what I have to say, okay. "Let’s look at this logically instead of emotionally. Having 3 people from your hood in Baghdad is an anecdote, not a statistic. According to international migration data, Qatar and Kuwait host hundreds of thousands of migrant workers due to their high GDP and stable labor laws. Iraq’s economy and security infrastructure are still in a 'reconstruction phase' following the 2017 defeat of ISIS. While Iraq is currently in a period of relative stability compared to 2006, equating 'peace' with 'safety' is a logical error. Nigeria has internal security challenges, yes, but Iraq remains a high-risk zone for foreign domestic workers due to the lack of strong labor protections (Kafala system) and the presence of active 'shadow' insurgencies. People go to Iraq because the barrier to entry is lower, not because it is 'more peaceful' or more prosperous than Kuwait. Let’s stick to global economic realities, not 'hood' stories." |
Even if you earn a top salary (like myself), I won't advice you to marry talk more of bringing kids to this wicked word, is a word for thought. Human beings look at children as a source of investment against old age, and that, right there is the problem, they fit into societal pressure than common sense. |
richiemcgold:Which Nigerian is in Iraq? Or don't you know Iraq is the immediate brother to Iran, when it comes to war alliances, don't you know?? |
It will be more interesting to see Iraq join force with Iran, let it be 2 vs 2. Iran and Iraq vs US and Israel. We all know that by the end of the day, Israel will still win, is not math is a fact. They just win, because they are always destined to win no matter the circumstance. |
They started early January of this year in rivers state, kind of weird where this Hausa people get there business format from. |
Make money, money is the beginning and the end, money is everything. See thunderous influence everywhere. |
Beerbeer:Alaye this is not a kada cinema show, this is real life talk, if you are interested in a show go to pleasure parks cinema and watch one, that is if you can even afford to buy there tickets. |
I see two of you are here doing 'Mathematics' and 'Detective' work on my profile since morning. If it’s October last year or one year, how does that change the fact that Tunde’s ( not his real name) 7-year marriage is a lie? I’ve been away from this forum for months to face my life, and this heavy matter is what brought me back. While you are busy calculating my 'Last Seen' date like a primary school teacher, my friend of 12 years have been happy for a child that is not his (his first child for that matter). If your own conscience is not hitting you, at least have respect for the weight of this matter. I am not here for 'dates' or 'profile views,' I am here because my head is full. If you have matured advice for a man whose life is about to enter a ditch, give it. If your own work is just to check my login history, then park well and let those with heart talk. This is my last response to all the people with childish response!" |
thorpido:"Story spun from where? My friend's life is about to enter a ditch after 12 years of brotherhood and you're talking about 'stories'? This is why I stayed away from this forum for a year—too many people have lost their humanity. If this was your brother being fooled by a Counselor after 7 years of marriage, would you call it a 'story'?" |
Stainless11:At least there is a woman with critical reasoning here, thank you for your response. |
pocohantas:I have known my friend for 12 solid years even before he got married to his wife, he knows me too, you see we have been closed like brothers ever since, I was actually his best man in his wedding, so you see I know everything about him, nothing to hide except the ones he kept secret, like I said in my post the wife knows am his closest friend and for that reason thinks I will betray my close friend by keeping her dirty secret private, which I will never do, Cause that is pure wickedness. I don't actually want you to believe it, I just can't hide a secret that will make my friend look like a fool. |
prophetwis:Why must a church marriage counselor sleep with another's man's wife and still have the effontry to tell her to keep it as a secret, that is wickedness! |
I have been away from Nairaland for over a year now, focusing on my life and career. I didn’t plan to come back here, but what I witnessed this past weekend has left me trembling. I cannot keep this secret alone; it is eating me alive. My close friend, Tunde (not his real name), has been married for 7 years without a child. The guy has spent millions on fertility treatments, herbs, and prayers. The wife always told me Tunde was the "problem" but that he refused to go for a clinical sperm test out of "male pride." I always pitied her and encouraged Tunde to go, but he remained stubborn. The Timeline of the Betrayal: Friday Evening: I met them at a lounge in Ikeja to celebrate. Tunde was over the moon, buying drinks for everyone. He told me, "Lonesoldier, God has finally remembered me!" He was even showing me the baby clothes and a stroller he already bought. Saturday Afternoon: The wife called me, sounding very troubled. We met privately because she knows I am Tunde’s closest confidant. She broke down crying and confessed: She is 3 months pregnant, but the baby belongs to their Church Marriage Counselor. The Reason: She said she "helped" Tunde because he is "useless" in that department and she couldn't wait any longer. The Cover-up: She told me the Counselor himself advised her to keep the secret to "maintain peace in the home" and give Tunde the joy of fatherhood, even if it’s a lie. I haven't been able to sleep. Every time I see Tunde’s WhatsApp status with "Thank You Jesus" captions, I feel like vomiting. If I tell him, I will destroy a 7-year marriage and a man's joy. If I don't, I am watching my brother raise a marriage counselor's child as a fool. Men of Nairaland: Is "peace" worth this kind of paternity fraud? Women of Nairaland: How can a woman be this cold-hearted after 7 years of loyalty? Lalasticlala, Mynd44, Seun... please move this to FP. This is a serious matter. I need matured advice on whether to speak up or mind my business. Trust is officially dead. Fear Women! Updated To those that contributed nicely, I solemnly appreciate your response, to those that contributed otherwise, I have nothing to prove to you. So I have decided to tell my close pal about his cheating wife on Wednesday tomorrow, I know this will break his heart, but it will save him a lot of suffering knowing that his first seed which he is thinking is his, is not actually his. This is what women and religious so called holy men of God can do, as a man always watch your marriage closely, do plenty of DNA test to make sure, your kids are actually yours, things are happening in this world. |
TheWolfen:Dogs eat there faeces |
Na normal thing, this is not the first time I have seen something like this, most individuals in Nigeria do it. |
Must you post your child all the time, no be by force to become popular na, haba. Baby light this, baby light that ![]() |
Come to Kwara state or Abuja, stop making it look like Nigeria is a good country with a one sided narrative, everybody that lands in Lagos automatically says the country is good whereas they haven't explored the north to really know that the country is not really what it pictured it self to be. The country keep deceiving themselves as if we the citizens don't know what they are doing. |

Emmy000seun:How did you come to this conclusion? Yes we know the Arabian world don't take bullshit from anyone and are very strict with there way of life, but I think most of them are not that stupid to be so docile and inactive to do some simple chores or go to market, well we have so many women, some tend to be useless why some tend to be useful. What defines an Arabian woman from a Nigerian woman is class, yes class which means making yourself look worthy enough for any man who comes you way |
grandstar:You are very correct when you said that the Arabs of today are not purely Arabs but I think Omani's Kuwaiti should not be in the list, I think they are pure Arabs. Countries like Kuwait, Qatar, Somalia, the United Arab Emirates, Iraq and Yemen are all pure descendants of Arabic origin. Although there are many I didn't mention, but I am sure about this one's. |
Between Nigerian women and Arabian Women Which do you prefer in terms of facial looks, hips and thick body. For me I prefer Arabian Women, so which one do you prefer? The first one is Nigerian, second one is Arabian.
|
Jerkbaba:That's the spirit, women respect stingy men, cause they see them as wise folks, but you see those men who do anything to please women are just underrated by women. That's why I want to be going for Arab women this year, maybe before the year ends make i fit catch one, Nigeria women I no do! |
This rose fine that year no be small, but now she is all wrinkled up. Beauty never lasts. If she was a pørnstar then, God I don't think you can last upto five minutes watching her video, she got that sexy facial look. |
This country keep giving citizens bad name abroad especially for people working outside the country, all the scam perpetrated across the globe always traces it way to Nigeria all the time ![]() |
