The General Overseer of the Auchi, Edo State-based Omega Fire Ministries International (OFM), Apostle Johnson Suleman, has admonished Nigerians and their leaders to shed the toga of pride if the nation must move forward in truth and virtue even as he hinted on plans by “men of God to” intercede on behalf of the nation in search of peace and economic progress. What’s your take on pastors against prosperity preaching? Well, that is not too bad, but every man interprets the Bible as he understands it. In my own view, the message of the Bible should be total and not one-sided as some people preach. God gave some pastors message of salvation, some prosperity, some end-time, but that does not mean that salvation or end-time preachers will not buy car or build houses for God and his family by God’s given prosperity. Or because a pastor is called into prosperity-preaching ministry, he decides not to talk about salvation again: he will end his journey in hell. Every ministry assignment ordained by God should complement one another. We need each other no matter the calling difference. Romans 12:3 Tell us about your recent American Raw Power crusade experience, and the charity visit to the US orphanage home. The trip to Philadelphia, America was successful one among our trips. We had attendance of about three thousand people in a meeting with divine visitation that culminated in diverse testimonies. The word of God was preached with power and great insight given by the Holy Spirit. The Lord spoke to the people by prophecy in a very deep form; obviously we know that the people have not recovered from the encounters. As regards Charity visit to the US orphanage home, I love doing this and that is the reason we did it. Recently, you attended to about 350 Youth Corps members at your ministry’s headquarters and gave them N7 million. What was their mission to the church. The students came to see for themselves wonderful things they have been hearing about us. They were 358 in number. It was a courtesy visit. And when they were leaving, we realized that they needed to be encouraged back to their orientation camps. We believe doing that is a way to assist them, their parents and the community at large. There is this issue of your alleged stand against the Biafra struggle. And this has become an issue with some groups fighting for a Biafra nation. As a man of God and not a politician, how does this connect with you? I have heard that before, that I granted an interview to some faceless interviewers against the agitations of the Indigenous People of Biafra which is not true. I’m not the one, it was an evil concoction. To start with, I’m a preacher and Ambassador of Peace for the United Nations. I’m not in support of violence, I was one of the pastors in Nigeria who spoke several times on live worldwide satellite TV broadcast for the release of Nnamdi Kanu. People who are jobless should look for something to do rather than fabricating stories that have no basis in order to confuse the people. Pastors should not be dragged into unnecessary debate and tribal rancor. You have become synonymous with charity. How do you hope the world should pay you back? In the book of proverbs 19:17, the scripture says; “Whoever is kind to the poor is lending to the Lord the benefit of his gift will return to him in abundance”. We are only doing what we know how to do and our rewards are from God. We are not expecting anything from men or any group. The world cannot pay us back. I’m not a politician who installed a bore hole for his community or does other projects and is expecting his people to vote for him in his second term political election campaign bid. Ours is not like that, we are only privileged to do what we know how to do to the glory of God. Can you tell us the story of your ministry’s 12th Holy Ghost Convention? The 12th Holy Ghost Convention of the ministry that took place in Auchi with live coverage worldwide and live streaming was a replica of the acts of the Apostles as there were manifold deluge of unending blessings conspicuously endowed on the people through the God of all flesh. God brought people from length and breadth of the globe. We saw unusual door of utterances opened as the word came in a special and mind blowing dimensions. Healing on every side, special miracles for the people were not left out. In nutshell, we have not recovered from the move of the Spirit of God. You are not afraid to shoot at every issue while on the pulpit. What inspires you at all time? There are things you cannot learn in your old age about life. Life is all about what you are made up of from the original dictate of God’s will. The source of my inspiration is God. From the Holy Scripture, it is God who works in us both to do His good pleasure. Whatever we are seeing today is God. A person cannot hold petrol in his hand and at the same time holds fire in his hand. These are two contrary matters. Whoever wants to shoot at issues must avoid issues. What more are you doing as a resonate voice in Christendom to ensure that Christian leaders take the initiative to push for the necessary and positive changes in our society? From one of the interviews granted in early May, 2016 with me about intercession we plan for Nigeria, the interviewer asked “How many other pastors are you bringing into this plan?” The response was that we are praying and good number of people in the nation would be carried along to pray for Nigeria. The only way out is prayer and by declaring the truth regularly. We are praying. There is better future for Nigeria. One of the qualities for which you are admired on the pulpit is your entertaining the audience in the most modest sense of the word and informing them. Is that the magic wand behind the ministry increasing growth? To start with, no man has strategy for ministering expansion or growth, except it is given from above. We are not actually entertaining the people in the course of sermons as you think but revealing the mystery in the word by the Spirit of God. One thing we should know and understand about the word of God is that, it has sweet side and bitter side. All work together to form the totality of ministry’s growth when they are strictly adhered to. Some laughed themselves into their next level as they hear the word while some are sorrowful by the same word into their freedom. The Spirit of God backing the word knows what to do to individual by the word. At what point do you have the time to be alone with your family, given your regular movements to preach Gospel across the world? Every minister of God at the top has similar time challenge due to crowded daily ministerial schedules but time has to be created as family matter is paramount in the heart of God. The order of life is God first, family second and ministry third. Generally, when ministry is getting larger and the demand is obviously on the increase, the attention given to family tends to suffer but all it requires is having understanding wife or husband and balance the family time and the ministry time. I create time. You are called The Oracle of God, this title must be special to you because almost every pastor also bears this title. What’s the secrets behind the title? There is nothing complicating about the unique title. It’s is biblical, according to 1Peter 4:11.”If any man speaks, let him speak as the oracles of God; if any man minister, let him do it as of the ability which God giveth: that God in all things may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom be praise and dominion for ever and ever. I bear the title and If other Pastors are bearing the same title, it is not bad, it is biblical and it’s borne out of individual revelations. Oracles of God speaks divine counsel and the mind of God. http://www.vanguardngr.com/2016/07/gods-stand-biafra-peace-not-violence-apostle-johnson-suleman/ |

Nigeria’s government and pro-Biafra activists are increasingly trading accusations of deadly violence, threatening to aggravate a tense stand-off prompted by the detention of the group’s leader. Earlier this month, Nigerian intelligence accused the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) movement of abducting and killing five ethnic Fulani people and burying them shallow graves. The Department of State Services (DSS) claimed the murders were proof of the group’s “true divisive colour and objectives”, as it sought to “ignite ethnic terrorism and mistrust”. The escalating rhetoric has fanned animosity between the predominantly-Christian Igbo people of the southeast and the Fulani that dates back decades. Igbos have long accused ethnic Fulani political leaders in federal government posts of marginalising them by denying them senior positions and funding for infrastructure and development. Many in the region see it as a “punishment” for declaring independence in May 1967, which sparked a brutal civil war that lasted until 1970. The significance of the DSS accusation is not lost on Nigerians because of violence before secession against Igbos living in the mainly Muslim north, where Hausa-speaking Fulani are dominant. Igbo resentment towards the federal government has not abated since the end of the conflict but is growing because of President Muhammadu Buhari’s tough response to IPOB. Feelings of alienation have been exacerbated at a desperate time when Nigeria is experiencing its slowest growth in more than a decade, inflation is at a four-year high, and chronic fuel shortages. Now, it is feared alleged Fulani attacks in the southeast — common in the religiously-mixed central states — are stoking ethnic grievances and drawing people to the separatist cause. – ‘Incessant killings’ – For weeks, Fulani herdsmen — nomadic Muslim cattle raisers — have been accused of killing farmers in Nigeria’s agricultural heartland, according to local media. But on Tuesday, police said at least seven farmers in the southeast state of Enugu were killed in a Fulani raid that IPOB said could spark a “second genocide”. “I can assure you more people are coming to Indigenous People of Biafra,” said Prince Emmanuel Kanu, whose brother Nnamdi is the group’s leader and is facing treason charges for “propagating a secessionist agenda”. “IPOB is conducting serious meetings all over Biafra land to find a solution,” he told AFP. “For how long to you want to continue killing us and for how long do you want us to remain quiet?” Despite being jailed since October, Nnamdi Kanu’s trial has yet to get under way, a delay his lawyers attribute to the state’s inability to bring a strong case against him. Meanwhile, mass protests calling for his release in the southeast cities of Aba and Owerri have been halted as a result of what Prince said were “the incessant killings” by security forces. According to human rights lawyer Onkere Kingdom Nnamdi, the police and military have killed more than 50 protesters between October and February this year. He is filing a lawsuit against the government for damages on behalf of the injured protestors and families of the deceased. “There are over 200 people in detention,” the lawyer said, adding: “Do you know the worst aspect of it? There are those that are missing, their whereabouts cannot be traced.” – ‘Need for empathy’ – Kanu’s detention and the fate of his supporters echo that of Shiite Muslim cleric Ibrahim Zakzaky, who has been in custody since December after his followers clashed with the military. Amnesty International has accused the army of “unlawfully” and “deliberately” killing more than 350 of Zakzaky’s followers and has criticised Buhari, who is ethnic Hausa-Fulani and a Sunni Muslim. Buhari, elected last year on a pledge to tackle internal security threats, has seen successes against Boko Haram Islamists, whose insurgency has left some 20,000 people dead since 2009. But the more amorphous threats emerging across the country demand more diplomacy than force, suggested Nnamdi Obasi, Nigeria analyst for the International Crisis Group. “The continued detention of Kanu doesn’t serve the purpose it was intended to serve, if the purpose was to put down the agitation,” he said. “The heavy-handed response is totally unnecessary, it risks radicalising the group. “There is a desperate need for dialogue, there is a great need for empathy but the government is not showing that at the moment, so things are getting worse.” http://www.vanguardngr.com/2016/04/fg-pro-biafra-campaigners-step-war-words/ |
Love him or hate him, Nnamdi Kanu is a rare gem. |
CONFIRMED PROPHESIES OF NNAMDI KANU THAT CAME TO PASS “As they campaign vigorously for elections, you would think, they are coming to grow the economy, enthrone justice, breed unity and tolerance, love for one another. No, they are coming to enthrone Hausa Fulani supremacy, to reposition the security agencies by sacking all competent hands and replace them with their kinsmen in order to drive their ethnic domination of the south, the Fulani herdsmen will be armed and encouraged to slaughter us with impurity and their masters will protect them. They are coming to ensure that my people are enslaved forever. Those who do not believe me will soon see it happen before their eyes”#Nnamdi Kanu, 6th Feb. 2014 “The Fulani will take over the entire south as a continuation of their age old agenda to Islamize Eastern Nigeria. They will brazenly seize our land in pretence of creating crazing fields for the Fulani. Then the conquest will be complete, we will become their serfs forever”#Nnamdi Kanu, 12 Oct 2014 “Between Jonathan and Buhari, none is good for us. Freedom remains our only option, Jonathan is weak and confused, Buhari is a bloody thirsty tyrant, who will destroy the land with his parochial view point. His kinsmen will take over the military and the security architecture of the land. Christians and Easterners will become endangered species; He will use the security apparatus to advance the agenda of his ethnic group. My people will suffer”#Nnamdi Kanu, 6th Nov 2014 “Then a group deadlier than Boko Haram will emerge, they will seize our farmland, rape our women, kill our people and their master will protect, defend and even arm them, because their sole agenda is to enslave us forever. Those who cannot see it now, will soon see it. The hatred in their souls for my people is legendary. They do not see us as humans. They kill, they slaughter, they burn and they destroy. Mindless bloodletting is in their DNA. My people are in trouble”#Nnamdi Kanu, 2nd Dec. 2014 “Unity flows with love and mutual respect. This artificial unity with people who see you as an infidel and unbeliever is fake and dangerous. We are better off on our own. They kill with impunity, yet they say we must stay together. They have only one agenda, to chase away Jonathan and enslave us forever.#Nnamdi Kanu, 16th Jan 2015 “All we ever wanted is freedom to realize our full potentials in the space of land God Almighty placed us in this planet, but there is persons whose agenda is to intimidate and dominate others. They hate freedom, justice and fair play. They enslaved Northerners for centuries, they want to extend and replicate this dominating culture down South. They use terror as a weapon of intimidation, they have no regard for non-Muslims, they hate us with passion, yet they won’t let my people go. Their only desire is to dominate and oppress others, once they are out of power; they immediately resort to either Pogroms (1966) Sharia law introduction (2000/2001) or Boko Haram (2011). They are enemies of peaceful co-existence. We want freedom, we respect justice and equity, and above all, we respect the sanctity of human live. These people do not; they use terror to intimidate and subdue in order to rule over everybody else”#Nnamdi Kanu, 15th March 2015 [b] These brief quotations from our leader over the radio have all come to pass before our very eyes. As the media inundate us to react to the Uzo-Uwani massacre on Monday, we can only remind all that the prophesies of Nnamdi Kanu over the Radio Biafra, for which he is unjustly incarcerated have all come to pass. We can only add that he forgot to inform the world before his unjust arrest and detention, that the DSS would falsely accuse us of killing 5 Fulani who they vehemently refuse to take newsmen to the graves to confirm the veracity, if any. He also probably didn’t know that we would be taken back to the dark Abacha era, were non-existent groups are hired to organize press conferences, ostensibly to defend the blunders of the DSS. He also didn’t know that a new era will emerge where powers from above will try to kill the truth by sending Imo governor to Abia govt house to do damage control for the DSS over wild and baseless allegations. We conclude by informing the world that we will not retaliate the cold blooded murder by Buhari’s kinsmen in Uzo-Uwani on Monday because it is not in our character, neither will we play into the hands of blood thirsty dictator who sent his kinsmen out on rampage as a forerunner to his evil agenda to subjugate our people. We remain a peace loving, focused and well disciplined mass movement totally committed to freedom. We have nothing more to add as Buhari, his kinsmen and security agents have only confirmed our great leader a PROPHET and VISIONARY LEADER. We rest our case. Emmanuel Ugwu in Umuahia The Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) wednesday rejected the ongoing trial of its leader, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, saying it had been turned into secret trial. IPOB’s position was based on its review of what happened at the high court on Tuesday in continuation of Kanu’s trial on treasonable felony charges. In a statement issued by IPOB’s Head of Media and Publicity, Emma Powerful, the separatist group said the trial judge, Justice John Tsoho “has now effectively instituted secret trial because the public were barred from attending the hearing” (while) only a handful of journalists were permitted to cover proceedings. “This is against an earlier court ruling that the trial will be held in the open.” The group pointed out that the trial judge has made it a point of duty to reverse himself on the ruling earlier made in the course of Kanu’s trial, citing the permission of the lawyer of the Department of State Service (DSS), who was initially barred from appearing as prosecution counsel. According to IPOB, the DSS lawyer, identified as Idakwo, who was “the lead interrogator” of Kanu and his co-detainees while in DSS, has now “surprisingly” been allowed to join the prosecuting team headed by Mr. Mohammed Labaran. “The DSS is now the arresting agency; they detain, they interrogate, they investigate and now they are also running the prosecution in a court of law for the Office of the Attorney General of the Federation through the Office of the Director of Public Prosecution,” IPOB lamented. The pro-Biafra organisation insisted that “there is nowhere in the civilizsed world that such levels of criminal absurdity in the dispensation of justice is allowed to obtain,” adding that “it is worth noting that the same DSS are the ones stopping the public from entering the court room contrary to the ruling of this same Justice Tsoho.” IPOB noted that the trial judge “has now been stumbling from one calamitous mistake to another by turning against his own ruling thereby making “so many mistakes in his quest to please his master, President Buhari, that chose him for this hatchet job.” Meanwhile IPOB has reiterated that it has officially dropped Mr. Vincent Obetta as the lead counsel in the defence team representing the director of Radio Biafra and his co-accused in the treason trial. A statement dated April 4, 2016, signed by the head directorate of state affairs, Mazi Uchenna Asiegbu said that IPOB “terminated the services of Vincent Obetta on 19th January 19, 2016 on the ground that he was no longer capable of handling such high profile matter and that his conduct was unbecoming of a professional legal practitioner.” In his place Chief Chuks Muoma, SAN, was named as the lead counsel in the team of 17 lawyers with Ifeanyi Ejiofor as the lead attorney to Kanu, the IPOB leader. http://www.thisdaylive.com/index.php/2016/04/07/ipob-rejects-secret-trial-for-kanu-others/ |
