Bro,I didn't know about the version o. Just was on the Xioami compilations... by jboixxx. I click, it downloaded and auto installed.

You see this guy call Macbeyland, he is good doing business with. Will recommend him any day!!

Not only will he sell with some flexibility but will see you through should the be any challenges. After getting a mi band from him. I also got a Bluetooth earpiece with a defective right side... -Not his business technically, cus I got it sealed and new. But the guy was so considerate with helping to sort everything out. All good now, thumbs up guy.

-Only downside, he really need to keep track of his contacts, talk to him about band next minute calling him back he is like -"I have sent your phone", and goes "oh no, sorry not you..."

Yea. So far enjoying the band. No need to rush to the phone in the event of new messages, incoming calls, -I get to know via notification on the band and choose what to respond to; especially so if you don't want to be distracted at work.

That's besides the weather updates, heart rate monitor, keeping fit trackers (yes set one alert that tells me I've sat for too long if I sit continuously for more than one hour- lol), alerts and reminders.

The Music part, with the band displaying the track tittles, you skip, pause and play any way you want -all with a devise the same size of a hand "band" literally. -yea I never liked wearing hand watches

If that's the case then you have no problem cos it's the same thing on every band. You have to play the music on your phone first before controlling it subsequently on the band.

When I used the mi fit app, I can pause and continue playing the music already playing. (Yea, no one could start fresh play without opening the phone)

So the issue is if I pause the already playing song, I can't continue from where I pause via the Notify app, I'll have to open the phone again to continue play...

Is that your same experience?

Well the band doesn't notify you of an update. Just that it automatically updates itself once you connect it to the mi fit app. And I think I got an update recently sha. My current version is in the picture below.

As for the music setting, I still have the mi fit app installed, so I didn't bother changing that in the notify and fit app.
But if you don't have the mi fit app installed, try the settings in the picture below for your notify app.

Nice of you to share. All was followed as you also discribed above. -I also have same latest update version.

However, GrandMufti above adviced deleting the Mi fit app and only keeping the Notify. -so far so good, except the play/pause ish. If I press it, I need to go through the phone to start/play/continue the music. Other than that every other thing is good using only the Notify app for the mi band 4

Well choosing to uninstall the mi fit app is ok, but the thing is do not update your band with the notify and fitness app, or your watch might get bricked. So if you want to update, install the mi fit app, update and then uninstall. Cheers

Too, every other thing is working fine, just the play/pause button/setting isn't.

-Pressing that on the band just stop the music, with all the options seleted for that botton in the Notify app, and you'd need to go back to the phone to click play again.

Anyway around that?

Figured out. One just have to follow the prompts of installing and uninstalling the recommended apk and following the instructions to keep only the Notify and Fitness app

Users of this phones, or personal experience, your advice is really needed as soon as possible.

Budget is 50k, can be stretched to 60k
