Please allow Nigerians to muster the little peace that they have. Don't come around with your cheap propaganda and scatter the little peace there is. If the economy is improving, it will be felt in the streets. How can prices of things be this high and yet you have the effrontery to say the economy is stabilizing. As at 2014, # 350 000 can afford you a car. In 2025. The same car that you can afford for 350k in 2014 is sold for $3.5million. You don't need to spill out stats. People are feeling it and people are seeing it. Poverty has multiply into ten fold. How can you be this evil by lying to cover up your incompetence. This is pure evil. |

Politics › Re: Enugu State Government Releases Routes And Prices For CNG Bus Services by LongT(m): 10:07am On Aug 18, 2025 |
This is outright extortion. To think that this buses are driven on CNG haba! The idea behind this is to cushion the effect of subsidy removal, so what if the buses are fully air conditioned? Plateau State has 30 of this buses driven on man diesel, each drop is #200. A Lot of workers had to abandon their private vehicles to plight the metro buses. In Jos people are no longer feeling the impact of this fuel subsidy removal on transportation, that I can vouch for. Please as much as the initiative is a brilliant one, the enugu state government should help the masses, by reducing the fair. |
Politics › Re: Enugu State Government Releases Routes And Prices For CNG Bus Services by LongT(m): 9:52am On Aug 18, 2025 |
IGBOSON1: You're travelling in airconditioned comfort so don't expect the prices to be unrealistically too low beyond what they used to be! It's money they used to acquire all this, so they can't be seen to be throwing it away with unrealistic pricing. I gather students, kids and the elderly will get discounts on the prices of their tickets so i think that's enough of a concession to make. haba the price is unrealistic now. These buses are CNG driven. The intension is to reduce the suffering of the masses and not to add to it. In Jos the government acquired 30 luxury buses driven by man diesel. The charges are #200 for every drop. This is what subsidy removal should look like and not the extortion going on in enugu. Permit me to say that the buses in Jos are fully air conditioned and wifi available too. |

This is not merely a jejune peccadillo; it is a mammothian indictment on our socio-economic superstructure.

Foreign Affairs › Re: Ghana Retrieves Bodies Of Officials Killed In Military Helicopter Crash by LongT(m): 5:22pm On Aug 08, 2025 |
foodlum: Reports confirmed all the victims were on that flight to go and attend an event intended to tackle the menace of illegal mining in some parts of Ghana. It is no surprise that their helicopter crashed. That was no accident. That was an elimination, perfectly executed by the powerful foreign interests sponsoring the armed and violent terrorist groups (masquerading as bandits/herdsmen, ISWAP, Boko Haram all across the Sahel and many West African countries) in order to violently seize and control their mineral rich territories, illegally mine the mineral resources therein and siphon them overseas.
Among these foreign interests are also the GMO foods multinational entities sponsoring the terrorists slaughtering farmers in farming communities all over Nigeria with the goal of eradicating organic farming/farmers and replacing them with multinational corporations controlled GMO farming systems (hello Bill Gates, hello Monsanto....) that will make Nigerians 100% dependent on and enslaved to genetically manipulated foreign food supply. These powers are immensely wealthy, very violent and will kill anyone who stands in their way or attempts to frustrate their objectives.
Ask the late Nigerian Chief of Army staff who also died in a mysterious air crash. Dude had discovered that the terrorism sweeping across Nigeria is neither religious jihad nor ethnic rivalry but sponsored foreign subversion of Nigeria. He had identified the local collaborators and was working to root them out and shut down the terrorist attacks. Before he could succeed, he was assassinated by air crash. The story is long and convoluted. These forces have almost finished capturing and destroying all Nigeria's breadbasket region farmlands and farmers. No wonder food and agro-produce is becoming scarce and horrendously expensive in that country. The strategy is simple: artificially create excruciating hunger and food scarcity in the country. Starving Nigerians will then eagerly embrace and welcome any food supply solution. In comes the multinational GMO entities with their high yield but non-replantable seedlings engineered to destroy organic crops, organic farmlands, alter human genomes, kill the population slowly....and so forth. A lot of nairalanders will think you are speaking gibberish, there is more to this neocolonialism than meets the eye. My fear is for Burkina faso president. They try to eliminate any African that tries to stand in their way.. Gaddafi, kwame Nkrumah, Steven Beko, Sani Abacha, etc etc. The way forward is African unity, they'll continue colonizing us and syphoning our God given mineral resources when we are not united. |

I thank God plateau state is not among the listed states. The truth is that plateau state governor is a visionary leader just like PO. What Nigeria lacks is leadership, and any serious leader that wants to truly change the narrative can do that in less than four years. It is not rocket science, it is about the person that wields or call the shot, you cannot give what you do not have. There are two divides to leadership, good or bad. I am glad my governor falls on the good side, if yours happen to fall on the other side there is nothing you can do about it for now, wait till 2027 to do the needful. You might be lucky to get a visionary one like mine. |

Gentledove2001: Was he making these donations before, during, or after his time as governor of Anambra State? Or did all of this suddenly begin out of his desperation to become Nigeria’s president? Why does he always go around with a camera crew during these so-called donations?
Even the Bible says you shouldn’t let your left hand know what your right hand is doing if you do, then your motive is questionable. This man lacks strategy, and his Obidient noise-makers won’t advise him properly. He keeps focusing his eye-service donations on a particular zone one that holds the least electoral value all in a bid to attract sympathy. But he forgets that elections aren’t won with emotions, they are won with strategy.
In 2027, what I want to hear from Obi, Atiku, and Tinubu is not more promises about turning Nigeria into Bangladesh in two years, but what they’ve actually done. Obi should show us the world-class hospitals and schools he built as a governor not fake donations just to look good. Mr. Desperado needs to be called out. [b]But he forgets that elections aren’t won with emotions, they are won with strategy. Indeed! Same way you are busy using same emotion to keep an inept person in power because of tribalism |

Under whose watch a huge amount of 💰 ney was air marked for a turn around maintenance. Knowing fully well that these relics will not function. But deliberately allowed the stealing under his watch as the then minister of petroleum. Tinubu came and did the same occupying the same dual position for no good reason other than to perpetuate the agenda of the Apc which is to bring this country to its knee. Offpoint1: The quest of a black man with personal interest needs to be studied from the root.
How we've evolved to be so greedy as a race, it really needs to be studied.
We've been distracted from community development to personal/self-interest as a people, hence we are perpetually retrogressing as a nation with no headway.
We've forgotten an individual has only one seconds to live and be dead the next second, while community is eternal.
We amass all these wealth for absolutely no impactful reasons, rather than selfishness.
It's proven in all round that life and civilization started in Africa, It amazes me how we ended up at the bottom of development as a race.
I will love to know what went wrong along the line... I will really love to know what went wrong. na greed cause am. Because a black man and greed na five and six. Any body that is greedy lacks love in his or her heart. And if your heart no get love, you cannot extend it to others and if you cannot extend it to others, you amass what is meant for everybody and keep for your self. The reason for the retrogression. |
Education › Re: How Much Is ₦50,000 In 2008 Worth Today? by LongT(m): 12:25pm On Jul 02, 2025 |
SUPERPACK: Since naira is not a stable currency we have do the calculation with the value of a stable currency against the naira which is dollar.
In 2008 the average naira to dollar exchange rate was #117 per dollar. #50000 divided by #117 per dollar = $427.
To get the new value we multiply $427 by the current dollar to naira rate of #1560 per dollar = #666,120.
So that #50,000 is worth about #666,000 in our today's economy.

Lere Olayinka's only line of defence is that none of the sons are directors of Joaq and Jordan Farms and Estates Ltd. What an elementary line of defence. They aren't even smart in how they loot. Is it arrogance or just sheer incompetence? These are the caliber of leaders we have in Nigeria, rogues! If it is not because of the way this country is, will some one like Wike be qualified to occupy any leadership position? It is really very unfortunate that this uneducated fools should be the ones calling the shots. It leaves one but to wonder, how did we get to this point in our national history. There is much pain associated with education as quoted in the bible proverbs is the very optics that plays out in Nigeria yet you cannot do anything to correct.
