Ignorance is what is affecting you, except if you really do not have a brain or understand the meaning of discouragement!! Read through very well, there is a difference between affirmatively discouraging people and passing information. You shouldn't be this affected by the post if you applied appropriately.

Suitable please. Am sure within your years of study doing economics, you must have taken one or more courses with related teachings in line with the procurement/stores job description.

I wish you well in this recruitment. But between me an you, we know public admin is more of Administrative department or Human Resources. I studied Public Admin for Masters, so it concerns me too. Funny enough, stores/procurement received highest number of junk applications. Stay hopeful please.

But in the first place, why will someone who studied accounting, banking and finance or economics not apply under Accounts Department. You are about to confuse people yourself, Me am not here to argue with anyone please. Time will tell, there is no rush in this matter. Previous recruitment and the current one are not the same. The previous management of NCS and the current one are not the same. If you have an insider, please make your findings. Thanks.

You guys should relax. Dont let anybody confuse you that you have to study a particular course to get the custom job. I can assure u that all courses of study will be considered, even if u applied for the wrong post and ur application is impressive, they will automatically place u in a most suited post. For example accountin, biz admin, finance, bankin, economics will all be considered for the account department. This apply to others. Why do u think u will undergo 6months compulsory training and industrial training. All we need now is prayer. May God help us all

You are correct with this info bro, Hopefully this month end or early june. No time wasting on this process. However, completed applications were not up to a million, can be verified when the statistics of the application is given next week. There were many wasted applications though, I warned about this earlier, If you know you did history, political science, international relations, am sorry it fell under junks. My friend BOJO, I can take a bet on this with you, when the shortlist is out, quote me abeg sir. Only those whose qualifications appropriately suits the field or department applied for have been considered. Even if you get slot, you must bring someone whose course fits in appropriately. All those junk wrong applications na joke for the NCS HR guys side. Apart from the connect list, there is a high chance for those appropriately qualified, watch out for their official update soon. Wish everyone the very best. This recruitment has only revealed that this nation has a high number of unemployed graduates but less professionals.

Apt response to the guy's post. I just know that though the job might have been shared, some candidates will still get the job without connections. You cannot throw away excellence, it's a professional recruitment and some credible and highly skilled individuals will get the job on merit. It might just be minimal. All the best.

Living life is about hoping on/for something, the same way you are hoping to have a headway in NPF. Yes we all know the job has already been shared but we all have hope to see it to the end and that's why we applied. Now you have absolutely NO RIGHT to take away that hope!

We have failed before,we will probably fail in the future but now is another opportunity to try. If it doesn't turn out well, we'll continue to try till it works out. Now go fvck yourself!

Just have a positive mindset. But the truth is you should also hope the number of slots for stores/procurement department is not small and suitably qualified candidates are not much. For those applying for the Superintendent cadre, bear in mind there are only 800 slots to be shared across all the departments. The vacancies for the departments also varies, as there are higher demands in some departments and low demands in some departments. Best wishes.

Seeing that you've applied I can only wish you the best of luck. But I honestly think that role is pretty suited for Arts graduate. Communication for any science grad should fall under ICT.

Some courses that could fit into Communications are: Mass Communication, Linguistics, Communication and Language Arts, English is partly related too, French Language, as well as people who studied Languages generally.

My brother, recruitment standards of FCSC and NCS are not 100% alike. I won't talk on it again, it's just an information, you could disagree which is fine.

This should help to: To secure a procurement job as a procurement officer, the minimum requirement would be a bachelor's degree in any principle concerning accounting, finance, economics, or business administration from an accredited university.

I will not say I have the time to answer a lot of questions. I just decided to put the information out.
For sports department, I finished from the University of Ibadan, and I know that for over 15 years, the Department of Human Kinectics in Faculty of Education U.I has graduated a very high number of graduates. I do not know of other institutions, but I am sure this is not peculiar to U.I alone. That means there are candidates who properly fit into the sports department. You can ask friends from other Federal Universities please. I am not discouraging anyone remember.

Yes I did not apply because another recruitment that will be open to other disciplines will be conducted soon. This is strictly a professional recruitment. I have a strong chance if I apply but i won't waste the opportunity.

I am not here to discourage anyone, but if you know your discipline does not directly suit the department you selected in this Customs Application, don't expect anything positive from it. From a very reliable top-level source, they have started sieving all applications with that nature as junks. Remember, the Superintendent Cadre requires only 800 successful candidates. Thus, only appropriately qualified candidates will be considered for the next phase. If I am wrong by the time they call for the next phase, quote me please. I am a political science graduate, with Masters in Public Admin and wanted to apply for Stores/Procurement, but was advised not to bother. For instance, i learnt a lot of people that their course of study is not in line with Communications and Secretarial Studies put in for that department. Don't bother dreaming it, this provides a better chance for candidates with appropriate qualifications. I wish everyone the best. I did not cook all this up, my source is very very very genuine.

The age limit for ND is 25 years, while HND and BSC is 30years. I think there is no point applying if you do not meet that. Except you choose to falsify your age.
