I understand the concept of giving everyone a chance, but it shouldn't connote playing people out of positions. Giving Mata or Rooney a chance would be better at the middle not on the wings. Giving Darmian a chance should come at RB not at LB where he's proven to be incompetent at. I love the change in his attitude, but not the changes he's making with team sometimes.

Playing carrick brings stability to our team, Herrera has been balling majorly and pogba must play so unless there is an injury to any of these three or we are playing a weak side, i doubt rooney and Mata will ever get a chance at the 10 position any time soon. Valencia has got the RB on lock down and we know mou has got a problem with rotating his first 11, if shaw wasn't so weak and blind wasn't so out of form i doubt that darmian would be starting sef. I think he is trying to keep everyone happy that's why he gives them plenty of chances. TFM is going nowhere but Darmian has been linked with a transfer time and time again. Mou doesn't want any player to say "i wasn't given the chance to prove myself". About the puppet master thingy; it's quite obvious mou is no longer the mou we used to know, he has changed drastically.

I don't think the plan was to use width tho. I think he started rooney and Mata so they can cut in and play as supporting strikers but still they flopped! We played 4-3-3 tho with pogba at LCM, herrera at RCM and carrick at the base. I don't understand why TFM didn't start huh
