South Africa’s treasury has recommended President Jacob Zuma pay back $509,000 (£385,000) to the government for upgrades made to his private home.

This comes after the country’s highest court ruled earlier this year that Mr. Zuma repay some of the $23m of public funds spent on his house in 2009.

The upgrades included an amphitheatre, pool, chicken run and cattle enclosure.

Mr. Zuma must now repay the money – about three per cent of the total spent – within 45 days the treasury said Monday.

Minister of Education, Malam Adamu Adamu, yesterday, reiterated the Federal Government’s ban on Post-Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination, Post-UTME, conducted by tertiary institutions for admission into universities and other higher schools of learning in the country. Adamu told journalists in Abuja that any institution that violates the directive will be punished by the Federal Government. He said: “The ban is with immediate effect and under no circumstance should any institution violate the directive. Those who have already advertised for the conduct of the Post-UTME under any guise should stop the exercise immediately.

How can one handle favouritism and partiality by ones parents. A friend of mine tells me that in their family, when her elder sister offends her, instead of her parents taking the right decision against her elder sister, knowing fully well that her elder sister is at fault, rather they blame her. In her own words she said " i felt like, i was an orphan, infact my mother once told me that i am very wicked from birth, that i would have killed her during my birth." i want to know what to advice her on what to do in such event or similiar event. It is never new that it is now a custom in our churches to give offering in every single service. I 'm not against the offering cos most churches gives more than five times in every single service.
