eziokwubundunuwa:
A VISIT TO SHOPRITE TODAY, A WASTED 3HOURS

On hearing the news about the opening of shoprite in Owerri, my family and I decided to pay them a visit .
Our visit was to, among others confirm if it has the same standard as the one in Enugu, and at the same time, pick some household items.

As soon as we entered the mall, my brothers and sisters, come see crowd. People packed in the mall like fish in a pack of sadin, causing go slow such that under the brand new industrial air conditioners I was sweating. When my little daughter could not bear the heat anymore, she began to cry. My wife had to take her to the car (I was determined to pick some items, since I had already come) .

We managed to do some shopping, and which took us about 1hr 45mins to conclude due to "human traffic".
Then I proceeded to the payment center, joined the queue. It took about 15mins to make the 1st shift on the line, despite the fact that there were about 10points.
I stood in the line for another 30mins without a result. By this time, my kids were worn out, all crying.
I had to abandon all I had shopped and headed home immediately with them.

After spending about 2 and half hours, I achieved nothing.
While waiting at the pay center, I saw people struggling to get a shopping basket. On my way out, a huge crowd were waiting outside the entrance of the mall, I understood the security men had stopped them from entering, hoping to decongest the mall before they go in.

Nna, I said na wah oo, so if I suffer make my money, I go also suffer to eat my money. God forbid!

lol that's how 1st day of shopping will always be Nwanne, with time surely the human traffic flow will subside... I really need to visit Owerri this easter to see how lovely the mall looks like.

eziokwubundunuwa:
The mall is too small for Owerri which is by far the fastest growing city in the Southeast. Owerri needs at least 10 more of this sort of mall to meet up with the astronomically growing population.

Nwanne atleast we've started from somewhere, surely we will get to that final destination soon. I love the way Southeast is moving forward.

Pal, just take correction and drop the issue. Owerri Mall is owned by Herbert Chikwe, and Rochas has nothing to do with it.

Abeg, it's not complicated.

Did I say Rochas has a hand in it? All the farms and Malls Obiano is commissioner is it not owned by Private investors... Go to those threads and read their praiseworthy comments .

God bless Imo state

This is the part I don't get...

They want developed SE, but they act as if Imo is not part of SE all because of politics.

Are they even going to cut Imo off as part of their biafra?

It's really so pathetic in as much as I don't like some of My Governor's (Rochas) policies, but we just have to praise this project like it was done for Obiano too some weeks ago....

show us a photo of Rochas ever inspecting work on this mall. Lets know his contribution. As you can see obiano is inspecting work on the mall and not commissioning someones project as Rochas the con artist is doing. Apples and oranges

So he must be there to carry blocks and cement on his head Right?

Congratulations to Chief Chikwe and his amiable wife for bringing Shoprite to Imo State. are you happy now?

You know, Rochas shouldn't be the only one bringing investments to the state. Don't you think so?

You got time to explain... leave them with their low thinking

Not so fast, Shoprite Owerri is owned by the husband of Kema Chikwe, PDP women leader. Kudos to PDP in Imo state for attracting this project home. Rochas is a scam

Some of you guys reasoning a times looks cheeky..If it was Obiano you will be jumping here and there. Mtschheeeeeww

Who is debating with you where shoprite came from and who cares where its from anyway?

The governor attracting investments and creating jobs and tax generating base is what's commendable.

You people are too closed minded amd shortsighted for your own.good.

You got time to explain yourself, some peeps no matter what will always want to Attack Rochas

I Bought two plots of land somewhere in makurdi. When the landlord agreed to sell the first thing I did was to go straight to the ministry of land and survey to check if the land has issues (Government land or for a proposed govt building) The director assured me it wasn't a dispute land before I went ahead to make payments..

People should always check the availability of any land from the ministry of land and survey/ Urban development before making payments ooooooooh.

But if truly the have the R of O or C of O to these lands they should head straight to the court of law...

Good morning
