Politics / Re: Nigerians React To The Planned 2nd Phase Of The #ENDSARS PROTEST by lordragner: 7:42pm On Nov 07, 2020
If the govt likes they can send their hoodlums in Prado jeeps or send soldiers to shoot unarmed youths. Then that's when they ll see what they are looking for cos this time around it's their private houses, properties and cars that will get burnt down. Their homes will be ransacked and All the stolen funds and precious jewels they have hidden in their houses will be retrieved and shared among the masses... Make we see who go tire.

What i will suggest is that he should opt for Tasmania due to PR, will the look of things subclass 189 isn't easy to get presently because from this month round of invitation, only 100 applicants are invited with the least point of 85 as against last year August whereby 2,400+ applicants were invited and also getting a PR from IT related course is highly competitive.
Schooling in Tasmania will give him the opportunity of state sponsorship as well as regional sponsorship without much ado. A lot of people are moving to regional areas after finishing school in the big cities, in fact a friend of mine just moved yesterday. Won't say much about employment, people maneuver base on their circumstances.

Thank you so much. I really appreciate this. I would like to know if there are other regional areas that offer equivalent PR benefits as Tasmania. Say in Victoria (Melbourne), South Australia. or NSW.

Your agent's advice seems to be a better option since his major aim is to get PR. PR requirements are easier to meet after studying in regional areas at the moment. How did you know that accommodation is an issue in Tasmania?

Thanks. like I said we looked up tasmania online, checked various forums including quora and from what we saw it wasn't encouraging in terms of accommodation and IT jobs Also racism seems higher there . maybe it might be different for folks who re there and have had a first hand experience. That's why I brought the issue here.

This might be a long read guys pls don't be angry with me. I have been a guest on Nland for a while but decided to create this monicker for this purpose.

Thank you

You think you are depressed and you know what it means to go through difficult times. Trust me you dont but you will find out soon when you drop out without a degree certificate. I have seen what is about to happen to you happen to my friend. He is a singer and performer and was making money from shows. he got admission to read a course he didn't like and was unmotivated. His father told him to try and finish even if with a pass certificate. My guy abandoned his school in his final year to sing song. today his younger brother has also dropped out and his defense is "i am not the first person to do it in this family". Today my friend is chasing undergraduate admission doesn't mind the course because he has become a yard stick of ridicule , something that he got without stress 8 years ago. His fiancees family rejected him....they couldn't allow their daughter who has a MSC and studied abroad marry a university dropout, shes now married to a Doctor.. My guy no longer gets invites for shows and concerts though he still makes money as he has gone into music production. But he has missed out on so many opportunities even an Exxon Mobil job (his father is well connected) because he doesn't have a certificate. He is now seen as someone who is not reliable and doesnt finish what he starts just because of one stupid action. Thats a story his kids will eventually hear. that their father couldnt finish school (When he is not bill gates or zuck). One lesson i learnt is "Always do something whenever your mates are doing it" even if you dont know how to do it. You have the "Wisdom of the crowd that knows you" to help you. He is my physical representation of Job in the bible, cos I have never seen someone endure so many misfortunes till the point his family has left him alone (they still blame him for his younger brother dropping out and he blames himself for it too) . I am sure if he could do things differently he ll try his best to finish with a certificate. My guy now knows depression he understands it, you dont...at least not yet.

morning people, I got this mail from ICES after I applied for ECA. I finished from Uniport and my transcript was sent manually by courier from the graduate school to ICES. What do I do? Is there any document I am to send apart from my masters degree transcript and success letter?

We have completed more research regarding the credential you have submitted for evaluation. Unfortunately, ICES is unable to provide assessments for degrees completed at Port Harcourt University because ICES has insufficient and inconclusive information regarding the validity of the degrees that were issued by this institution. At a later date, should ICES receive more conclusive information regarding the validity of the degrees from Port Harcourt University, then ICES will resume evaluating degrees from the said institution. Until then, ICES will not be able to provide any assessments for degrees awarded by Port Harcourt University.

In accordance with our cancellation policy outlined in the ICES Credential Evaluation Application Package, we will issue refunds for $275.

Please i got refunded the money i paid for ICES evaluation. This comes days after i registered and paid for the ECA on ICES. I have also paid for transcript in my school and was told it will be ready in two weeks time. My page still shows "Application Submitted". I am wondering why the money was sent back to me considering I didn't request for a refund and my application is still active. Has anyone experienced such before? Do i apply for a new report despite the first one still active? or should i wait till my transcript gets to them before i apply again. I paid using Naira Mastercard.

I have been following silently from the beginning and finally got here. Congrats to everyone who has gotten their PPR and aced their IELTS your success stories has inspired me to give EE a shot.. I have signed up for Ielts in Jan and I hope that I ll also come here to testify at the and of it all. I have some issues that need clarification on and I humbly ask for the opinion of anyone with answers.
I have a B.Eng in petroleum Engineering and Msc in information Technology Engineering (Both Nigerian Degrees), I have 1 year experience with NYSC--physics teacher, 3 years experience as a Web developer (self taught) , worked with a friend in his IT startup (just 3 of us) for 2 years. we did contracts mostly and pay didn't come in regularly every month ( He is currently in the process of registering the business name with CAC). However I left to pursue my M.Sc in 2017. After my Msc, I got CCNA and I'm currently working as a Network administrator (2 months).
I want to build a career as a network engineer and possibly advance into cybersecurity or analytics.

Q--> Would you advise me to go with noc 2281--Computer network technicians. Despite not having up to one year experience or continue with
Web development noc 2175--Web designers and developers, (which is still a side gig for me). Or use NYSC which can be easily substantiated.

NB..i checked the CRS tool, Maxing out my Ielts will put me on 456 with 1 year experience and 481 with 3 years experience.
I am weary of using web developer noc because there are no legal documents (Payslip, Appointment letter, certification etc) to back it up.
Career / Re: University Of Port Harcourt Sacks Professor Frank Ugiomoh by lordragner: 8:26pm On Oct 09, 2018
I just had signup to comment after seeing this on twitter. This Prof Frank Ugiomoh deserves to be sacked by Uniport not just given suspension. the man is wicked, arrogant and heartless. I have witnessed him slapping people anyhow, using his office and title to intimidate everybody. He has severally stood up and dragged mic to shut down the uniport catholic priest during sermons in the full glare of the congregation. I wonder why Uniport left him to be misbehaving all this time. I am sure the story of the two students is just a cover he is using to save himself.

please let the moderators move this to front page, let all the big gods know that there is always a day of reckoning for the wicked.
