Since the person is not in Lagos and doesn't want to travel twice. Modify(ignore the hap id generated) the medical health option in your application so that the applicant can do both at the same time after submission. You can schedule the medical in the morning and move to Etiebet's place Ikeja same day after medical in Ikeja or VI. Biometrics details and Hap ID will be available in your account immediately after visa submission.

That's a good idea though, but you should also be aware that when you ignore HAPID in the application and submit, you may want to wait for the case officer to generate one for you (I may not be 100% right here but that is what I know) and only God knows when that would be since recently, they removed processing time in subsequent entrant application. Think about it. You may just make the sacrifice and do this... Generate HAPID, do you medicals and submit application the following day(you would have filled all the other sections in the form and give them time to forward your health declarations to pretoria for the HAPID to be valid, else the form will reject it) then you can book appointment for biometrics (now at lekki) as early as possible maybe that day or the following day. Since i will not advice you to do medicals after submission. I dont think he will spend more than three days doing this. Also you can just use the opportunity to do your police clearance.

Good afternoon all, will be rounding up my youth service next month and am planning to apply for a Msc prog in Social Work. I ave a Bsc in Sociology. Am presently gathering information so as to give my parents feedback wen I return home next month.
I would like to get information on the following. Thank you as you answer my questions nd God bless you.
All suggestions are welcome. God bless you once again
1) will #5million naira be enough to start my Msc social work in Australia? Flight money is included in d 5million. Let's say it's 5million that my parents have for me
2) I went to a bank yesterday to gather information about form A nd I was told the exchange rate is #358, with this kind of rate my 5million won't reach anywhere. I tried Austransaction but there's no official exchange rate on their website and I msged them but they haven't replied me yet. What other means can I use to pay my school fees when the time comes
3) Is it possible for me to get a scholarship with my 3.48gp second class lower on a 5point scale?
4) which sch shud I consider with reasons from the few schools have researched about and please am also considering there cost
* University of Wollongong 16k Aud per semester
*James Cook 15k Aud per semester

Medicals are available for applicants once you hit submit button. You don't need your case officer to generate Hap Id for you.

Hap ID won't generate that easily after submission. Book medicals, select a suitable date, submit, and you will IMMEDIATELY get notification to do Biometrics.
Book into do biometrics similarly.

Once you submit before medicals, you may wait for a case officer to request and send you a HAP ID before you can do medicals.

Ok firstly, 5 million is too small for Msc in Australia. Note that Australia is expensive when it comes to education.
Secondly, I will advice you go for a AL1 school both University of South Australia and University of Queensland are on AL1 thereby the chances of getting your visa is kinda high.
Thirdly, if you have to make it for 2020 January or February intake, I suggest u start now!
I am still repeating that 5 million is too small coz there are alot of expenses. E.g. medicals, agent fee, visa fee etc.
So that's all I can say based on my little knowledge and I hope it helps.

gurus in the house your opinion is needed. my cousin wants to for his msc in cybersecurity in Melbourne, Australia, his goal is to study, get PR and build a career and a life for himself there. However an agent recently advised that he goes to Tasmania due to the PR benefits associated with the region. We looked up tasmania and have discovered that the University of Tasmania only has an M.Sc in Information Technology which is generalist as against him specialising in cybersecurity and also getting jobs (IT) and good accommodation isn't easy for locals in tasmania talkless of foreigners compared to other parts of Australia. what do you guys think? is tasmania a good option?

CC bligs

Your agent's advice seems to be a better option since his major aim is to get PR. PR requirements are easier to meet after studying in regional areas at the moment. How did you know that accommodation is an issue in Tasmania?

What i will suggest is that he should opt for Tasmania due to PR, will the look of things subclass 189 isn't easy to get presently because from this month round of invitation, only 100 applicants are invited with the least point of 85 as against last year August whereby 2,400+ applicants were invited and also getting a PR from IT related course is highly competitive.
Schooling in Tasmania will give him the opportunity of state sponsorship as well as regional sponsorship without much ado. A lot of people are moving to regional areas after finishing school in the big cities, in fact a friend of mine just moved yesterday. Won't say much about employment, people maneuver base on their circumstances.

Thanks. like I said we looked up tasmania online, checked various forums including quora and from what we saw it wasn't encouraging in terms of accommodation and IT jobs Also racism seems higher there . maybe it might be different for folks who re there and have had a first hand experience. That's why I brought the issue here.

I just completed my Masters and I hope to start my application for my PhD in Australia soon. I noticed most australian universities require you to apply through an agent. Does this also apply to PhD applicants?

Possibly. It just depends on the school. If your Uni of choice requires it, so be it, if not lucky. Mine did.

Victoria sponsor only PhD in selected profession if you considering study and very hard to get regional Victoria sponsorship and likewise some regional areas of NSW sponsor certain professions with conditions. If you study in Northern Territory, Tasmania or Southern Australia you are covered by state sponsorship provided that your course is on their skillselect list.

Yes

Yes, 40hrs for the student and 40hrs for dependent (partner/spouse) per fortnight respectively. You are also entitled to unrestricted hours when your program is not in session.

Having said that, majority of students and their dependents over work their hours. It becomes a problem when you take several absent of leaves, don not enrol for semester/trimester without the consent of Uni, do not pay tuition fees and are reported to immigration, leave the country when school is in session or being flagged for whatever reason.

People over work their hours and the immigration is awear but seldom interfere.
