Hello,

Can a Medical student learn programming

I love the idea behind coding but I am going in to study Medicine. I just want to know if I can combine studying Medicine and practicing programming at same time?? Can I be an intermediate coder in my 6 yrs of studying medicine?? I intend practing coding everyday for 6yrs but giving greater attention to my medical course...I just want to know if it is possible. If 6 yrs is too small or too much...

Your intelligent replies will be greatly appreciated

Hello sir, I'm in this same shoe you were then..
How did it later go ?... can I still learn to code in medical school ?
Hope it didn't affect your grades then?... I'd be delighted to get a reply from you sir.

I wrote JAMB in my final year too(2014/2015). Things may have changed now but the strategy I used in my time was studying 4 different textbooks each of Physics, Chem & Bio and chewing JAMB past questions afterwards. It took months of preparation though.
Hello Ruyi, I want you to make a video or talk about multitasking in medical school, e.g a 24/25 yrs guy starting 100lvl and has a skill like tech (coding), the guy isn't depending on anyone he only make money from coding.
How can that person meet the demand of med school and not leave his Job/skill.
How possible is that ? Cos it look like most medical student don't do anything aside medicine ..

No oooo 🤣🤣🤣🤣 e no fit happen na. For this life ?? No ooo, instead I leave frontend, then move to backend. I was core backend before, so I decided to become a fullstack developer by going back to face my fears which was css. So I'm done with css now moving to Reactjs.

ooh okay
Any resources to learn CSS?.... the method you used and how...I just picked up css

Hello guys. We all know that learning isn't easy especially when dealing with writing programs.
Actually, I've been dealing with backend for 3yrs and have a little understanding of the working principles of frontend. Guys, centering a div was a one hell of a thing I was fucking scared of, and another was making use of position property and media queries. Omo frontend show me shegge banza. Something led to something , so I decided to go back and learn CSS again. During my learning duration I understand the tricks in css and I was like wow, i finally know/understand css. It was a mind blowing experience. So I decided to test my new found skills by making a Canva image single page website design to a functional website with nice responsiveness to all screen size👉(sekeportfolio .vercel .app). I was like is this me?? Yeah, it's me. After this I'll be taking a Reactjs course. Css is not difficult.learn flexbox and grid design. Just understand how to structure your html you'll be fine. The stuff is not difficult 😃😃😃. I love coding and I've passion for it, including with the money that comes with it. Happy learning guys. Wishing you all the best. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Nice one boss, are leaving backend for frontend?

And ouch almost forgot, just for your own information, don’t let anyone introduce you to web development as a beginner that might be an easy task to learn and to you, but it’s just like a coastline paradox, now the trap/reality is;

1. Html/css/js (web dev.) might be easy but at the end it’ll only leave you creative .
2 Logic sense + Creativity; now that’s programming; it’ll make you creative and in the sense also be logically intelligent.

Don’t let anyone mislead you html/css/()are markup languages not programming languages like Python and the rest. 💯📈
Are you saying there's no job if you learn HTML CSS and JavaScript?

Dead, but you're here reading and making posts?

Nairaland may need improvement (every project does, actually), but it's certainly not dead. Its creator should be THANKED for making such a platform where Nigerians (and other nationals too) can interact effortlessly.

Lots of content are created here, mostly for free. People find their talents here, all for free. We get real-time information here, all for free.

Why shouldn't we be thankful?
Good evening Sir,
Do you think a medical student can do a part-time job to sponsor himself through medical school?

It's like unilag ain't forthcoming anymore .. same thing repeat itself over and over again, making me seeing myself as a failure. seeing people younger than me in medical school while I'm still here makes me sad .This time is gonna be different indeed, I need a federal institution that doesn't requires much Olevel with low tuition fees excluding UI .
Please recommend schools for me please. I'm just frustrated here in engineering
