Why do you think blockchain is most secure?
He's right by saying blockchain is more secure because you need to have the wallet identifier before you can login.
You also can't reset password. You can only use your backup phrase to recover your acct if you've forgotten your password.
But on other wallets which uses email login, one can easily reset password by just having access to your email

I am 100% sure they are Indians ( by the accent)
But bro.. Dem tackle you ooo
Like I use to say.. Hacking my account means hacking the whole blockchain..
That's why I keep my coins in blockchain if I am not selling for the day.. Lbc, paxful, luno and Coinbase is simply for trading cos of faster confirmation

Any wallet that requires you to log in with you mail is not secure
Yea, that's what I believe too. Its either they work hand in hand with some Nigerians or just basically sell off the hacked emails to them.
Na Luck I get, if not, them for don do me strong thing.
They were only able to steal less than $100 from my Luno, Fiverr & Perfect Money accts grin

I can't narrate all that happened in my own case but summary is, they called me too and stole about 14-15 BTC from my LBC wallet 3 weeks ago. Yet to recover from the shock till now. The signs were so much, still can't believe I fell for it.
Same thing happened to me though they weren't able to steal BTC from me coz I quickly changed the email linked to my LBC. They currently own my gmail coz I can't access it.
Was any of this numbers among the number that called you?

+918147418711 or +918123515466

Satope Paul contacted me after seeing this post & explained that he was also a victim of similar hack & his funds stolen.
His email was also compromised by same Indian hacker & the guy is demanding for 7BTC before he'll release it.

[s]I think they work hand in hand with some Nigerians that's if they're actually Nigerians which I'm not certain of.

Reason been that, while my gmail was hacked, they changed my Paystack password & logged in. The Suspect/hacker changed my settlement plan to manual & added his acct number for withdrawal. Fortunately, Paystack pays only into an account in the companies name.
Meanwhile I had already alerted them earlier that my email was hacked & i needed it changed.
Below is the acct info that was added to my Paystack.

Acct Name: Satope Paul Oladeji
Gt Acct No: 0011326213

I was able to trace the phone no linked to the acct no which is

Phone no: 07033045599

Searching this phone no on Facebook brought out this name

Satope Paul Oladeji
He's also on LBC with the username: Posatope
[/s]

Another name which came up on my Paystack which you should watchout is Mohammed Sayaf(probably the Indian guy behind the call)

The hacker also reset my FBN Corporate banking password, changed my security questions & requested that my Token be deactivated via my hacked email.
It was on Monday after I went to an FBN branch to change the email linked to my profile that I discovered this because I couldn't carry out any transaction due to the fact that my token was deactivated & First bank said I must request for a new Token.
I think the Indian guys that put the call through work together with some Nigerians that's if they are really Indians

I don't understand, you were social engineered via phone or what because I know if it was online then you were tricked to click on the link believing it was coming from google. I also do not understand why you didn't receive message alert from Google before he removed your recovery email. You should have an email on your recovery email stating that your password was changed and you should click here if you didn't make the request or something like that. I wish you the best in resolving the issue.
As to the Social Engr. part, he called me with his number.
While we were both speaking, i received an SMS from google & he told me to call out the code in the SMS.
He had earlier told me during the call that he's from LBC support & they were doing a routine verification shocked shocked.
Unknowing to me he was trying to reset my gmail password & the SMS sent to me by google was to process the reset. It was after he requested for my localbitcoin 2FA that I sensed something was wrong.
I gave him a wrong code & ended the call.
I tried logging into my gmail immediately & discovered I was signed out & password has been changed.

I believe he deleted the unusual login email notification sent to my recovery email because he was able to gain access to it too coz I used my gmail he hacked as the recovery email & vice versa.
I've removed the hacked gmail as a recovery mail for my yahoo account but the funny thing is yahoo keeps popping up that option as a last resort to reset password & this has given him the opportunity to always reset my yahoomail password using my hacked gmail account(removed recovery email address) no matter what I do.

He remotely formatted my Android phone yesterday thereby making me lose access to my 2FA & locked out of my Bitcoins wallet. He was able to do this because I didn't remove my hacked gmail account from my phone.

My saving grace currently is that I already changed the emails linked to my Bitcoins wallet to my new gmail account which I've fully activated all security measures on so he won't be able to penetrate cheesy cheesy.
I've requested for 2FA reset on my blockchain & LBC wallet which takes not less than 1-2 weeks before my request is granted.
I'm just observing for now while me & the hacker keeps playing hide & seek with my yahoomail pending when I recover the hacked gmail.
Its now I understand the reason why most people keep saying yahoomail isn't that secured.

How did it happen? Did you click on links? You should have had another email linked to that email in case anything happens then they will send mail to that email alerting you. The best bet is to contact Gmail via chat or call telling them that your account has been compromised.
Nope, I didn't click on a link. I was Social engineered into giving out my google verification code.
The scammer then immediately reset my password, changed my recovery email & phone no to his including enabling 2FA on the gmail.
Tried reaching out to google but there's no direct means.
The best solution I got from them was to wait for 3-5 business days.
Patiently waiting for their positive reply

They called you for a code right, which you gave them

What email do you use? if its yahoo its easier to block them back, cause they will still try to trace your wallet or anybody who has ever dealt with you through email.
Yes, they called me for a code which google sent while I was talking to them.
I didn't even know they were about to reset my password coz the SMS didn't specify it. It just said verification code & the guy already told me they were doing routine verification.
After he asked for my LBC 2FA was when I suspected foul play.
I immediately checked my gmail & discovered I was signed out. I then logged in back immediately & reset my password though he had changed my recovery email & phone no which I changed back to mine. In my mind, I thought I had beaten him to his game.
After 20mins, I discovered I was logged out again. By this time he had changed both recovery email & phone to his & enabled 2FA. This then made me totally locked out. I knew my yahoomail was gonna be next because my gmail was its recovery email so I quickly logged into it. He had already added his phone number & was about to enable 2FA in my yahoomail. I immediately removed his number & logged him out. I also removed my gmail as its recovery email.
He had no choice than to back off & started resetting passwords of every website I have financial details with ranging from blockchain, luno, bitpay, Voguepay, Paystack, etc.
Can't risk loosing this email sha & will likely go with Keishik's reply if it doesn't work out through google.
I thank GOD he hasn't been able to access any of my funds uptil now.

Which means it is better one enables the 2FA security measure
shocked shocked You still dey ask?
I'll advice you do it sharperly on all your Bitcoins wallet including your main email account if possible because this guys don't have joy at all coupled with Bitcoin been untraceable & irreversible unlike Paypal, Skrill, etc.
That was what saved me.

They are from LBC.
They got your info from someone you traded with.
They indians.
They will keep hulking over you till they get your btc
Wherever or whoever you sent your fund to, cross check the address by phone or text before sending.

even if you get your email back what ever you do with your email is still being monitored by them, till you disconnect them.
Hmm, yes they are indians.
What can I do to get them off my back coz they've just been resetting the password of everything related to Bitcoin on my account including some that are not.
Any idea on how I can recover this email or get it blocked for now?
I've been googling on the different methods but none is working. The best reply google gave me so far is to wait 3-5 business days shocked shocked
The hackers 2 phone numbers are both switched off

He couldn't get access to my Bitcoin wallet coz he wasn't able to decode my 2FA. Though he already requested for it to be disabled on my blockchain account but i've moved out my funds already. I'll advise all to enable 2FA on their wallet. Better late than sorry.
