texanomaly: Ideally he should come see you first. If that is not a possibility for some reason, your friend needs to go online and check out what it take to get a passport to the UK. Then she needs to obtain it herself. If she can not afford it and he is serious, he should pay all her fees. Tell her: DO NOT SEND HIM YOUR PASSPORT!! There should be no reason why she can not visit him.

A few things to keep in mind though:

If you have a friend in the UK, or know someone who does; make arrangements to be picked up at the airport by them.

Do not stay with him. Stay with friends, or at a hotel.

Meet him in a public place...Do Not meet him alone.

If possible have a friend there meet him before you come. Also have them come with you for the first meeting.

Make sure the Nigerian embassy there knows where you are staying, and who you are going to meet.

Ask him for a copy of his passport to give to the embassy.

I keep saying every lady knows how to tell a man off, (except you're dealing with a psychopathic stalker-then, you might need the police or a psychiatrist), we just choose to keep guys at arm's length so as to enjoy the attention and at the same tym know deep down in us nothing is gonna happen. Or a childless wealthy professor at 55 who went through divorce is occultist too? A 50yrs old man/woman who invested N500k in a good stock 20yrs ago is probably a multi-millionaire now. You can't call them occultists. Most Nigerians abroad who were smart enough to buy cheap houses in USA or UK in the 70s, selling out now or cashing out equities are super-wealthy now. I think Nigerian-style bla-bla-bla religion, and movies which portrays only witches, wizards, and occultism behind everything may have affected the way we think in Nigeria.

Though you may be correct that some people are diabolic, but some genuine wealth came through well-calculated investment risks that grew over time. Most rich old men/ women did just that when they were young. If you spend yours now on techno phones, iphones, and BBs don't blame people who are doing the right thing now, 20yrs from today. Moreover, only prostitutes run around men for quick money. Responsible girls work hard for there's.
