Phrank Shaibu, Special Assistant on Public Communication to Atiku Abubakar, mocked Festus Keyamo following the defeat he (Keyamo) suffered at the Federal High Court sitting in Abuja. The court awarded a N10 million fine against Mr Keyamo for filing a frivolous suit against the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP)’s presidential candidate in the Feb. 25 election. Keyamo, who was also the spokesperson of the dissolved Tinubu-Shettima Presidential Campaign Council (PCC), had filed the suit marked: FHC/ABJ/CS/84/2023 on Jan. 20. In the application, he had sought an order compelling the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), ICPC and the Code of Conduct Bureau (CCB) to probe and prosecute Abubakar. Keyamo based his action on the ground of claims by one of Abubakar’s aides, Michael Achimugu, that between 1999 and 2007 when he was vice president, he (Achimugu) conspired with ex-President Olusegun Obasanjo to rip off the country using what he termed “Special Purpose Vehicles.” However, he lost woefully in court today. Reacting to court ruling, Shaibu said Keyamo should throw his law degree into the dustbin as it was nothing but useless. Shaibu said that while Keyamo was eager “to satisfy his paymasters”, he did not wait for up to three days for the EFCC and other agencies to act on his petition but hurriedly filed a suit before the court seeking an order to mandate the agencies to act on his petition. According to Shaibu, the judgment was clear evidence that the former minister was only playing cheap politics. He said that “Keyamo’s incompetence has been confirmed by Justice Omotosho. One wonders how he was elevated to the rank of senior advocate. Despite several clarifications that the allegations levelled against Atiku were trumped up, Keyamo refused to listen to reason.” Shaibu further stated that “Rather than act like a refined lawyer as expected of a senior advocate, he decided to act like a political jobber. Now, he has been disgraced before the entire world. This was a man who served under the legendary Chief Gani Fwehinmi? What a shame.” He noted that Keyamo’s latest defeat was not surprising “given the fact that he had lost many high profile cases in court while he was an EFCC prosecutor.” Shaibu added that “When the jobless former minister was filing the frivolous case, we informed Nigerians that he would lose. The prediction was in line with his antecedent as a failed EFCC prosecutor. Today, we have been justified. “He was the EFCC prosecutor against Governor Timipre Sylva but he lost the case. He represented the EFCC against Femi Fani-Kayode and also lost. Even the case he instituted against the Lagos State House of Assembly during the Tinubu certificate scandal marked ID/639M/99, Keyamo didn’t do better. In the case of former Speaker of the House of Representatives, Dimeji Bankole, in which Keyamo was the lead prosecutor, it also ended in another abysmal failure. “Keyamo made a name for himself by constantly filing frivolous suits in order to entertain the media. He needs to throw his law certificate into the dustbin so he can face his job as a social media influencer.” https://pmnewsnigeria.com/2023/06/05/throw-your-law-degree-into-dustbin-atikus-aide-mocks-keyamo/?amp=1 3 Likes

On Wednesday, the Governor of Lagos State, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, blocked the comment section on his verified Twitter account after visiting the presiding Bishop of Living Faith Church Worldwide, David Oyedepo, apparently to solicit support for his re-election bid. Sharing a photo from his visit to Oyedepo ahead of the governorship election on Saturday, Sanwo-olu described the bishop as a man after God’s heart. “Yesterday, was indeed a memorable day as I met with a man after God’s own heart, a man who has dedicated his life to the service of God and mankind, Bishop David Oyedepo founder of the Living Faith Church Worldwide and presiding Bishop of the Faith Tabernacle in Ota, Ogun State,” he tweeted while blocking comments to the post. On March 12, the governor was also sighted at the Harvesters Church, Lagos, exchanging pleasantries with members of the church. The governor’s moves around certain clerics are believed to be targeted at getting support of their congregations ahead of the forthcoming governorship election in the state, especially due to the fact that Peter Obi of the Labour party defeated Bola Tinubu of the All Progressive Congress, during the presidential poll in the state. The development shocked the APC in the state, and a chieftain of the party, Biodun Ajiboye, described the development as a “Hurricane (that) swept our expected electoral fortunes in Lagos State.” https://theparadise.ng/sanwo-olu-blocks-comments-on-twitter-after-visiting-bishop-oyedepo-ahead-of-election/

mach7:You are wrong. Did you listen to Sam Omatseye on TVC Breakfast this morning. He was clearly supporting Tinubu. Very bias. |
