https://i1.wp.com/www.thebreakingtimes.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/11/mbaka.jpg?resize=433%2C325 News update from » http://www.starzhit.com/naijanews/catholic-church-transfers-rev-fr-ejike-mbaka/ According to reports reaching us, Rev. Fr. Ejike Mbaka has been ttransferredfrom his Parish “Christ The King Parish GRA Enugu” and left without a Parish. The controversial Priest was reportedly given residence at Our Lady Of The Rosary Parish Emene Enugu, 2km away from his Adoration Ministry but not as a Parish Priest. The decision to remove Mbaka is aimed at checkmating his activities which is generating unpleasant wave within the body of Christ and the nation at large. Rev. Fr. Joseph Offor, the director of social communications of the Diocese, said that there would be general posting and re- posting of priests this year. He added that the Diocese embarks on postings of priests every six years. “The bishop decides who should be posted where; it has nothing to do with a particular individual. It is a routine practice which is done every six years,” he said. This development means that Fr. Mbaka has no Parish again and his weekly Wednesday program “Inodey Again” will not be conducted at Christ The King Parish but probably at Adoration Ministry, Umuchigbo Nike Enugu. Rev. Fr. Ejike Camillus Anthony, Ebenezer Mbaka is a Catholic Priest of Enugu Dioceses. He is the Parish Priest of Christ the King Parish GRA Enugu and the founder and Spiritual Director of Adoration Ministries Enugu Nigeria (Amen). Father Mbaka is by birth from the noble family of late Chief Humphrey Ogbuefi and Felicia Mbaka in Amata Ituku in Awgu L.G.A of Enugu State. Ogbuefi Mbaka’s family is renowned for their special talent in palm wine tapping in the community (Ituku). Being the only son of the parents his birth was greeted with full encomium and thanksgiving to God. This Special gift to Mbaka Family was named Ejike perhaps in realization of the fact all powers belong to God including that of sex determination. With the arrival of the new born, his father late Pa Ogbuefi heaved a sigh of relief that at last his successor has arrived. Little did he know that his little infant prodigy had a different covenant with his creator. Right from infancy, the tiny Mbaka, though fully consumed by his domestic chores, still spared enough time to commune with God. He assisted the beloved mother in the kitchen and other domestic duties, accompanied his father to their famous business of wine tapping and ensuring that all that was tapped was sold except the one reserved to entertain their daily visitors. Once through with the home demands the little Mbaka would quickly ran out to organize their Block Rosary Prayers where he usually assumed the role of Francisco (one of the three children visited by Blessed Virgin Mary in Fatima in Portugal in the year 1917) He was also deeply involved in the rejuvenation of Charismatic group in St. Anthony’s Parish Ituku where he led the prayer warrior team. His unassuming nature, great sense of humility and piousity endeared him to the entire Christian Community in Ituku. At home he was equally loved pampered and generously taken care of for his docility, zeal and dedication to his domestic responsibilities. His father though a pagan at that time cautiously tolerated his local runs in the Christian activities in the town, but as soon as “Cami” declared his desire to join the priesthood the story changed drastically. Pa Ogbuefi and his kinsmen not only opposed the idea but also persecuted their little boy and made life one miserable experience for him. One can pathetically understand his father’s position at the time because as the only son the news of his priesthood quest was tantamount to obituary, that is to say (that) the young man was perpetually lost with the irredeemable consequences of foreclosing their linage (in igbo culture) Ejike was therefore made to pay dearly for his supposedly act of obstinacy and insubordination. Determined, he remained unruffled, undaunted, and resolute to the divine call to serve his creator. After his secondary school education at St. Vincent’s secondary school Agbogugn in Awgu L.G.A of Eungu state, he proceeded to Seat of Wisdom Seminary Owerri and St Joseph’s Ikot Ekpene for his training, and nurturing to priesthood. For want of space his testimony filled life in the seminary schools and the subsequent apostolic works activities and exploits are better consigned to history. In 1995, precisely on July 29th, Rev. Ejike Mbaka was ordained a priest of the Holy Roman Catholic Church, a priest forever in the order of Melchizedek. This historic event marked the triumph of light over darkness to the glory of God. Instantly, the Catholic Church in Nigeria knew that the eagle has landed. The young Rev. Fr. Ejike Mbaka was posted to the Holy Ghost Cathedral, the headquarters of Catholic Church in Enugu Diocese as the Assistant Diocesan Administration. He not only distinguished himself as a seasoned administrator but also gave the church in Enugu diocese the long desired apostolic spice and fillip to forge ahead. This was a welcome response to the church longed for radical shift from the business as usual ways of doing things and celebrating the Eucharist for her people. This request was duly answered by the arrival of this budding priest as the anointing in him overflew and lubricated all that came in contact with him. People discovered something very special in this young priest and followed him to wherever he went. His office hours at the cathedral expectedly became a beehive of activities as the crowd continually besieged him with one spiritual problem or the other. With this yearning, this young man who feels the pulse of his people started exposing the Blessed Sacrament so as to enable the people pray and receive answers to their requests. He later discovered the need to embark on evangelical missions outside the cathedral with a bid to reaching out to more people. Such moves took him to Capuchin and G.T.C Enugu where he celebrated masses for the congregation. It was at G.T.C that the idea of having adoration to the Eucharistic Jesus was conceived; hence, the birth of Adoration Ministries Enugu Nigeria (AMEN). It was previously called Word Prayer Centre of the Eucharistic Jesus. Just like the biblical mustard seed, the ministry has grown beyond the little G.T.C hall prayer activities to a global assembly of people of God. The good, the bad, and the ugly events while at G.T.C Enugu led to the migration to Christ the King Parish (CKP) GRA Enugu, especially with the barbaric and gruesome murder of fourteen (14) adorers (including a pregnant woman) by the Chimaroke administration in Enugu State, May their soul rest in peace amen. It is also worthy of mention that Rev. Fr. Mbaka started and completed both the big church and the parish house at CKP GRA Enugu within a record time of six months. To the glory of God, the Adoration ministry Enugu Nigeria (AMEN) is happily and permanently situated at Umuchigbo Ije-Nike near Enugu Nigeria through the instrumentality, foresight, doggedness, zeal and commitment of one man, Rev. Fr. Ejike Mbaka. It is germane at this junction to crystallize some of those few salient attributes that made the man what he is today: Rev. Fr. Mbaka is a strong believer in the power of the Eucharist. For him the Eucharist is the essence, soul and life of the church. He is also of the strong view that prayer is the key to the door of all human requests to heaven. He insists that the people must pray their way out; with his popular injunction to pray until Something Happens (PUSH). A great philosopher, highly talented, creative, innovative and resourceful mind. A great thinker who can turn out new ideas from near impossible corners. An amiable soul- winner who knows those little things the people need to be happy and fulfilled. Hates discrimination in all its ramification. Relates with all irrespective of class, race, religion, colour etc A social crusader that believes in the equality of all before God –poor or rich, beautiful or ugly, tall or short, male or female etc Likes encouraging and giving people opportunity to excel. He is always of the view that the best way to identify the talent in any person is by giving him/her opportunity to perform. A philanthropist and employer of labour. Today it is pretty difficult to successfully count the number of people under his charity- the students, the sick and discharged, the homeless, the widows and orphans, the jobless and many more. He can sit down clear a cheque book of more than ten million naira (N10m) at a seating. In fact people close to him jealously think that Fr. Mbaka is generous to a fault. He even extends his kindness and generosity to his fellow priests. A great achiever who believes that nothing is impossible with God. Attains unimaginable heights once his mind is made up, very focused and always destination driven. Always an optimist. A celebrated musician and lover of music. Plays original, highly inspirational, creative soul-lifting, librating, sanctifying and prayer focused. In fact once he is at peace, in good mood and inspired you find him chumming out new songs. Most of his songs usually originated while he is sleeping. Has so many albums to his credit and variously honoured by Performing Musicians Association of Nigeria (PIMAN). Indomitably energetic. Rev. Fr. Mbaka is hugely blessed with power and energy such that he can talk and work for hours without getting tired. A lover of the word of God. He will readily tell you that his secret lies in the Eucharist and the ever abiding word of God. Hence, he is so familiar with most chapters and verses in the bible such that he can reel them out at will. Keeps to his words. Very frank, truthful, genuine and honest. Detest falsehood. His yes is his yes. Hates gossip! Serious and humorous. Can crack jokes and bring himself to the level of all. Hates injustices. Fights for the poor and oppressed in the society. Wicked and corrupt leadership disgusts him so much that he wastes no time in fighting and correcting such maladministration. This perhaps informs the ill-informed opinion of those who accuse him of fighting the government. Fr. Mbaka only fights bad and vicious administrations because the problems created by such misrule normally fall back on him. The poor, the unemployed, the oppressed etc will still run to him for one assistance or the other. Preaches vehemently against equating him with God or giving him the glory that belongs to God (Hyperdulia). In fact he does not tolerate that at all. That is why he always directs people to the Eucharist once they start pestering him. He makes it clear that he has no power of his own other than that from God It is thus not out of place to describe this man as a genius and an enigma. Humble and meek as a dove but hold and vibrant like a lion. He is simply a special gift from God to Catholic Church world over. Little wonder also why Adoration Ministries Enugu Nigeria (AMEN) has blossomed and flourished by leaps and bounds under his leaderships, direction, guidance and mentoring. |

Read his official statement below: “I have read several accounts of the unfortunate incident regarding the unauthorized appropriation of the intellectual property rights in the sound recording I had made sometime in 2014 by Mr. Tunde Ednut. Contrary to the spin in the media, I never at any point engaged in any studio session with Mr. Tunde Ednut regarding the sound recording. The original sound recording was indeed created by me with Wande Coal providing freestyle vocals on it and I have attached a link of the original version in this release. CLICK HERE TO DOWNLOAD |

The video showed the man squeezing two goats out of a boa constrictor after the snake swallowed them whole. The footage, shot on a roadside in Kerala, South India, showed the man pressing on the animal’s swollen stomach to release the two goats. He grabbed the huge snake and wrestled with it, risking his life as he pushed and pulled the dangerous 6ft python between his legs as shocked onlookers watched him force out the snake’s meal. Amazingly, the legs of one of them appeared as he continued to push the rest of its body out. Once one of the goats was free, the other started to give way and the man, holding onto its head, successfully managed to get both out. The unnamed farmer was trying to save the lives of the animals, which was a huge source of income in the area. Despite his best efforts to save the goats, both of them died before they were released. It is not known what happened to the python. Watch Video Here http://www.starzhit.com/weird/incredible-moment-farmer-squeezed-2-goats-snakephotos/

Special adviser to President Buhari on Media and Publicity, Femi Adesina has revealed the first thing president Buhari does when he wakes up. Speaking during an interview with Radio continental 102.3 fm, Adesina said: “He gets to the office in the morning about 9 a.m, the first thing he requires us to do is get the highlights of newspapers ready for him, and so before he comes in, we have reviewed the newspapers, we have done all the highlights and that is the first thing he looks at. Then he begins to attend to all the other things lined out for him. Across all the sectors, ministers and directors of agencies are meeting with him. He is a hard worker and at 73, I wonder how he does it. “He does that till early evening, when he then retires home to have a late lunch and a rest, and then in the early evening he takes on people that have been scheduled to meet him, if there are. One thing about this President is that as much as possible, you don’t get to his house and see a market. I was told that in the last dispensation the place would still be a beehive of activities as late as 2 a.m. But this man is methodical, he plans his days and in the process he is able to attend to much more. All the sectors are receiving attention, I can assure you.” Photo credit: http://www.starzhit.com/naijanews/checkout-the-first-thing-president-buhari-does-every-morning/

It was revealed that Nigerian business mogul, Aliko Dangotebrokered the peace between music star Olamide and prolific producer/singer, Don Jazzy, after their Headies Award beef. Many doubted such reports -arguing the correlation between the billionaire and the music stars for him (Dangote) to intervene. This just confirms that Olamide and Don Jazzy reconciled at the residence of the business mogul. Standing among forty other suspects arrested over various crimes ranging from robbery, rape, impersonation and cultism, at the Lagos State Police Command headquarters, Ikeja , Wednesday, was an under-aged boy whose appearance struck this reporter. Judging from his fragile frame to his malnourished looks, coupled with an expression of fear on his light skinned face, nothing would have passed him for any of the offences listed against him. But during an interaction with Crime Guard, 16- year-old Babajide Akiola, as he later identified him, confirmed that facial looks could be deceptive, following his admittance to belonging to a dreaded cult group that has been terrorising Satellite Town, in Amuwo Odofin local government area of Lagos. He further opened a can of worms on activities of members of various cult groups in the area. Most startling was the revelation that children as young as ten years old are initiated into the various cult groups in Satellite Town. By the way, Sattelitte Town was set up by the Lagos State government in early 1960 to help low income earners own their own houses, with some of the areas allocated to oil workers and private buyers . Along the line, illegal structures were built in the area, which unfortunately have turned the area which was once known to be an estate into a slum, with the prevalent activities of cultists holding sway. In this interaction with Akiola, a Secondary School Certificate holder, he revealed that , primary school pupils and secondary school students , including artisans in the area were forced into cultism. Attempt by anyone approached to put up resistance according to him, meant the out right relocation of the child’s parent from the area. He further disclosed that children between 10 and 13 years who were initiated into major confraternity groups such as Arrow Baga popularly known as Arrow, were sent as spies on their rivals. The children as gathered were also sent to survey places like the massive Navy barracks before their ‘masters’ would strike. How I was forced into Eiye confraternity Giving an instance with his case, he revealed that he was approached right from the age of 10 to join the Eiye confraternity group. According to him “ When the pressure was too much, I had no choice than to give in . My father was an okada rider (motorcyclist). He was never at home. There was no one I could approach when the pressure to join Eiye was much on me . Even if I had approached my father, he would not have done anything because everyone is afraid of the cult guys. He would be forced to pack out of the area and he didn’t have the financial strength to do so. In one of the occasions, one of them, Samuel seized my phone and my shoe. I went home barefooted. As if that was not enough, I was beaten to a pulp by members of the cult group, for committing no offence. I eventually joined Eiye confraternity in 2013, shortly after I finished my secondary school eduction. Initiation After my secondary school education , my father said I should go and work as an apprentice under a vulcanizer. On the day of the initiation, I was taken to a lonely area around waterside, where I was blindfolded. Thereafter, they beat me and poured alcohol in my eyes . My position in the group is called ‘Tender’ . This is the least position. My job is to spy on rival group members, particularly during fight and give their location to our members before they would strike. At first, no one knew I was a cultist because I was not moving with the known members. But later, my boss got to know and dismissed me”. Graduated to robbery Along the line, I lost my father. By the way , my mother was separated from my late dad. She abandoned me and my two siblings with my father. When my father died, I travelled to the village in Ondo state to see my mother but she never welcomed me as a mother would welcome a child she had not seen for long. Rather, she called me names and sent me away, saying it was impossible for me to stay with her because she had remarried Thereafter, I went to my grandmother who told me to join my two other siblings with her to farm. But I refused because of the hardship there. She gave me N3000 to rent an apartment in Lagos . When I returned to Lagos, I went to stay with a friend who is also member of same cult. Most robbery cases in Satellite Town and its environs were carried out by cultists. I only participated in the morning raids ,where those leaving for their respective business places are attacked and dispossessed of their cash, phones and other valuables. At the end of each operation, I usually got between N1500 and N3000. I have never handled a gun because I am only a ‘Tender’ . Killings enhance promotionq Akiola , further disclosed that series of fight in the area were caused by rival cultists. He gave names of some of two major volatile cult groups in the area as Eiye and Arrow . “We usually had problems with the Arrow boys, over supremacy . So many persons have died during such clashes in both camps. Our hit men are refereed to as flyers and Adaba. To graduate from the position of ‘Tender’ to ‘Flyer’ or ‘Adaba’ , it requires human blood. Anyone that can kill three persons at a go during fight with rival cult groups automatically becomes a ‘flyer ‘ or an ‘Adaba’. But I don’t have the mind to kill. The day I was tempted to ask what else can be done to graduate to the next level was when I saw a 10 year-old boy who was already an ‘Adaba ‘ . He came to where I was standing with other members and cleared me off from the ground simply because I did not pay him homage . He ordered me to lie flat and used my back as a leg rest. That was to show me that he was senior to me in rank”.Asked what the name of the 10 year-old boy was, he said he never dared to ask him. Continuing he said “I was told that the alternative way to rise to the next level was to undergo another round of initiation which involved payment of N15,000. Aside that , I was told that a herbalist would be invited , who would mix cassava flakes otherwise known as garri with rice and would ask me to sort out the rice like a bird. Thereafter, I would be taken to Ibasa, a river bank where the real initiation which include severe beating would be done. I was told that several persons did not pass that stage as they died in the process and their bodies thrown inside the river. I decided to remain in my position as a ‘Tender ‘ because I didn’t have N15,000 to pay and I was also not ready for another round of beating”. He revealed that areas prone to cult activities included Tambolo village, Ibasa, across the river, Bale, Ijegun, Egba, waterside, Fire Service around barracks, among other places. Arrested Akiola further stated that members of his confraternity group usually attended parties whether invited or not, adding that on their way back, they would accost unsuspecting persons who were going to their respective places of work. Luck however ran against them on December 29, 2015 , following the arrest of four suspected members, while operating at Chemist bus-stop. Akiola said “ Bolaji was with weere((gun ) on that day. He used it to scare our victims. But we did not know that policemen were around. I regret joining a confraternity group. In fact, I feel like dying because I am not prepared to go to jail . If I am let off the hook, I will return to my grand-mother in the village and join my siblings in farming. Crime Guard gathered that some leaders of the cult groups were killed by policemen during shoot-out while operating. The suspects, according to the Commissioner of Police , Mr Fatai Owoseni would be charged to court. http://www.starzhit.com/naijanews/it-takes-killing-of-three-to-be-promoted-to-next-level-10-year-old-boy/ lalasticlala

The fashionable church building is located in the Southwest Coast Scenic Area in Taiwan. The huge high-heel shoe is 17m high and 11m wide, and made of 320 pieces of glass. According to the administrative office of the building, this church might look very stylish but it also blends with tradition. In tradition, the bride needs to wear high-heels to tread on tiles and then throw away the shattered pieces before stepping in the bridegroom’s family, which signifies the end to past misfortunes and the beginning of a better life. They decided to build a high-heel shoe-like church for couples to get married and take wedding photos. The church is expected to open in February of this year during the annual Spring Festival. Reekado Banks won the Next Rated award at #Headies2015. Headies 2015 Next Rated winner, Reekado Banks has responded to a congratulatory message sent to him by YBNL rapper, Lil Kesh whom many thought should have won the award. The beef generated by the Next Rated award at the 10 edition of the Headies is still very fresh in the industry and has the potential of turning out in several unpredictable ways. But for now, Reekado Banks plays it cool with a nice response to Lil Kesh’s message on Twitter. With this gentleman behaviour between the two acts, would we see an end to the war of words from both camps? http://www.starzhit.com/entertainment/reekado-banks-responds-lil-keshs-congratulatory-message-next-rated/

Oh my! Before the Headies awards went south last night, you guys won’t believe that Reekado Banks was really rooting for Lil Kesh to win the Next Rated star and here’s a video to prove it. HipTV had met up with the Mavin star and when he was asked to throw a shout out, Reekado hailed Lil Kesh, said he was one of his big fans even though they were up against each other for the top prize and that he wanted Lil Kesh to win. Veteran Disk Jockey in Imo State, DJ Vicky Lee escaped
what could have been mob justice by angry crowd and
upcoming artistes when he suddenly called off
performances at the Imo State Carnival 2015 night. The event which started late on Monday, December 21, 2015 ran into December 22, 2015 with the likes of Phyno, Slowdog, Sym19, Xbusta, H2O and others performing at the newly unveiled Christmas Freedom Park. Things turned sour when Vicky Lee was ordering his assistant to shut down their equipment even when thousands of music lovers were around the stage waiting to watch the homegrown artistes who were performing at the said time [around 2:00 am]. MC Yellow Mouth who was coordinating the performances did his best to make Vicky Lee see reasons why the thousands of people around the state should be allowed to enjoy the night, but it was rapper Leeroy who took the shame as the microphone and speakers were turned while he was still performing. The DJ who refused to listen to anyone even infuriated Leeroy, and said the time the organizers paid for had elapsed and so he would never let anyone climb the state which was also said to have been rented from him. As if that was not enough, he bragged that the fact that he is not an indigene of Imo State means he has nothing to lose and he was untouchable even when some angry artistes and fans were plotting on attacking him and damaging his equipment. It took the sermon of some individuals backstage to calm the artistes down, but Vicky Lee became calm when he realized the fans had turned off his generator and then stayed close to his Apple laptop in case anyone was planning to make moves upstage. What really angered the artistes and crowd was that even though the DJ shut down performances, he did not start packing until his generator was turned off. He was still playing music for an empty stage and thousands of people who were angrily going home. Some artistes who spoke to us said they were just being law-abiding by not attacking DJ Vicky Lee, but blamed the organizers of the carnival who would always employ people who only care about the money they are earning and no the development of the state. Other artistes who were shouting on the background promised DJ Vicky Lee that he would someday pay for the embarrassment they received, while the very young artistes who could not perform recounted how much they had spent on transportation to the venue, calling it a worthless movement. One of those who was 16 year old singer, called on the organizers and the governor to note that the carnival is not only for entertainment, but an avenue for them to showcase their talent to a kind of crowd they would never meet on an ordinary day. In his sadness, he recalled that it was never easy for his parents to let him and his siblings out of the house by that time, counting it as another wasted night. He said: “Thanks to the DJ who was playing god, we have wasted another time. They let Phyno and other perform many tracks because they are big, forgetting that those stars were once like us. That DJ will surely pay for his actions someday and the Governor should also help us in this bad treatment, so that we can live our dream” See more photos here »»»»» http://www.starzhit.com/entertainment/4254/ |
