oh i did enjoy reading them and yes i got the initial meaning of the first poem. Be on the lookout for more from you. |
'A genius in women – so much I own in herds' Play on player if you really wrote that. But remember women aren't cattle or sheep. |
As with all things modern, technology has it's pros and cons. Back in the day, love letters were big. You sat down and wrote a letter expressing how you felt about someone. Many crumpled sheets later, your letter was good to go. With technology, everything's changing, the way we communicate aand all. You send an sms for nearly everything, from birthdays, anniversaries to love messages. Reason why most old folk are sometimes baffled by this technology, you see back then they had a pen and paper and they were good. No cell phones,no bluetooth,no wifi, and no emails. Not to forget this same technology has ruined marriages and relationships. So there you have it. |
Right now listening to Carl Thomas-Summer Rain |
Okay caring soul, time to come clean. Did you or did you not write this? |
Okay i thought it sounded like a song, nowi know it is one. CaringSoul there's no harm in acknowledging the artist or whosoever's work you want to use next time. Don't let that stop you from writing though, you can do it and i'd still be on the lookout for more from you. Stephen P,it is Emerson drive's 'fall into me' from their self titled album, good job of noticing. Great lyrics though. |
CaringSoul you write with great depth,so i do enjoy reading! Like i said earlier it's vivid and unedited, but Stillwater's done a good job to make for an easier read. |
Right now it's laid back mode, listening to slow jams, and yes i'm in a mellow mood. That got me kind of thinking about my favourite artistes who do slow jams or romantic lyrical songs if you like. My very first thoughts were,Sade, maxwell, brian Mcknight and usher. I'm listening to 'Cherish the day' by Sade Adu at the moment, and before that 'This woman's work by Maxwell'. So the question is,what slow jam(s) are you listening to right now? |
With 'The confessions of a slave', it's part grandeur, part pictorial. I took particular note of the line that goes thus, 'I dream of angels, but live with demons'. This in part captures the theme, that is the good she dreams of and the bad she's had to put up with. The watered down versions of the original shows the lenght to which creative imagination can be stretched. Good read oyinye2, and rotimy. Would like to see more of your write ups. |
This reads like a love song especially liked this part of it, i'll follow any road anywhere to get to you i'll open my soul if thats what u need me to. Also thought it to be raw, vivid and unedited feelings straight from the heart. |
Thanks, another warm welcome message. |
Anytime CaringSoul. Will be on the look out for more from you. |
