Romance / Re: Why Is Pre-marital Sex Thriving? by lovelyCC7: 10:07pm On Dec 20, 2015
I am so scared for my baby sisters. When I was their age there was no phone and the TV didn't show anything until 4pm. But nowadays even while walking on the road they hear and see obscene things and even repeat some of it without knowing the meaning. I keep asking myself how I will I instruct them when the time comes. You say one thing and the Internet says another. God help us.

I know one thing for sure. I don't get even the slightest itch after shaving. I have not cut myself before either. I am not into sex right now as well, I just don't like excess hair below. #TCS

This is the problem we CURRENTLY have in Nigeria. People want to justify what is not.

What is wrong is wrong; irrespective of the intentions of whether people want to help or not.
he may be wrong but it is not the issue in contention. I am sure that if you have something to offer him the topic will not be an excuse not to. I take it that you know the meaning of hyperbole. The use is not illegal.

Help the poor boy if you can and do not latch on to his topic as excuse. He already admitted he was seeking attention. Some people who don't want to offer him anything are pretending his topic is preventing them. They even believed the literally fell

You created a fake topic , how do i know you aren't creating a fake request
if you believed a portion of the sky fell then you are very gullible. He admitted he was seeking attention. If you don't want to help him, let him be.

Politics / An Unbiased View On Kogi State Election. by lovelyCC7: 12:36pm On Nov 29, 2015
The death of Prince Abubakar Audu who is APC's governorship candidate for the kogi state election has created a vacuum literally and figuratively in the heart of family members, APC and Nigeria. It has indeed thrown up a volcano of confusion for as it appears, the law and indeed Nigeria was not prepared for such a delicate situation. However, the onus lies on us to forge ahead.

In forging ahead, a question has arisen as to who is entitled in the eyes of the law to fill the vacuum created by Audu's demise in the kogi state election. It is worthy of mention that the election was declared inconclusive prior to Audu's death. As it stands, 90% of the votes is regarded valid by INEC. It remains only the other 10% of the votes for the election to be considered concluded. This means that it is imperative a candidate is chosen quickly to replace Audu.

It is worthy of mention that in filling the lacuna created by Audu's death, PDP suggested the second runner-up in the yet to be concluded election be declared winner of the election by INEC and I must say that this position is laughable.

In my own view, it is for the intelligent masses who have been the observers of this procedure and are not blinded by political interest to provide solution to this case to avoid injustice.

This calls to mind the position of 11 out of 25 members of the kogi state house of assembly who posit that Muhammed Audu the son of late prince Abubakar Audu should take up the position since in the words of Maman Rabiu a member of kogi state house of assembly, the younger Audu has the clout of his father. This is yet another laughable contribution that even contravene section 141 of the electoral act which provides that an election tribunal or court shall not under any circumstance declare any person a winner at an election in which a person has not participated in all the stages of such election. From the foregoing the younger Audu does not stand a chance.

On the part of the APC, Yahaya Bello has been chosen to replace Audu for reasons which can only be described as sentiments of the APC and does not represent the spirit of the law. The aim of appointing Bello though he was second in the primaries is to reposition and shake off the party from the perceived claws of Bola Tinubu, which shows that the welfare of the rule of law and the good people of kogi state is not even in the agenda. This is more so when it stated that the choice of Bello will ensure power shift in the state. It also stated that Faleke cannot be allowed to step into Audu's shoes because of internal power struggle in the APC. We can not let APC sacrifice kogi because it wants to run away from Tinubu. Their grouse with Tinubu is not our business.

This brings us to the issue of the position of late Audu's running mate Faleke in this case. Faleke was nominated Audu's running mate in the election and together Audu and Faleke with the help of APC worked for the vote which has placed APC at the forefront in the election.

Secondly, this situation calls for the review of the essence of a running mate who in turn automatically becomes a deputy governor. After all the law mandates that the validity of a gubernatorial candidate can only stand where he has correspondingly nominated a running mate. Also section 181 of the CFRN 1999 provides that if a person duly elected as governor dies before taking the oath of office and subsequently the oath of allegiance the person elected with him as deputy governor shall be sworn in as governor. The provision of this law does not completely cover our current situation but it is very close and in obedience to the spirit of the law, Faleke should replace Audu and another running mate be nominated.

It is important for us to try and entrench democracy and obedience to the rule of law not just paying lip service to it no matter whose of is gored. The candidacy of Faleke is a bitter pill that APC must swallow irrespective of their sentiments. This also shows that the post of a deputy governor is not as useless as we have made it appear. The candidate must always be chosen With care. PEACE.

Politics / Dasuki's Travails Under PMB by lovelyCC7: 9:38pm On Nov 23, 2015
The Nigerian Government headed by PMB has sharpened it's claws in readiness to deal with anyone who has by hook or crook defrauded Nigeria. This is very commendable and exactly what the citizens has been hoping for. However, while the government aims to impress Nigerians and to show us that it is fearless in its quest to recover stolen funds, it must also tread cautiously, taking cognizance of the law and respecting human dignity. The DSS on 16th July armed with a search warrant visited the EX-NSA Colonel Sambo Dasuki and in the wake of the search recovered rifles, ammunition and a number of vehicles which it claimed the former NSA was not entitled to have in his possession. Amongst other things taken from his house was his international passport. It should be noted that the seizure of passports without justification was condemned by the Supreme court in the case of Director General SSS v Agbakoba, but it seems the DSS is not even aware of it. The government deserve our support and encouragement when it works to make good its promises and in the same vein will be chided when it acts with disregard to the law. In the discharge of its duty, the DSS charged the former NSA with possession of fire arms without licence. However, on 4th November a federal high Court in Abuja presided over by Justice Ademola Adeniyi ordered that Dasuki's passport be returned to him to enable him pursue medical treatment abroad. Then on 5th of Nov, security operatives stormed Dasuki's residence insisting on delivering to him personally an invitation for him to appear before a committee set up by the government to probe arms purchase while Dasuki held sway as NSA. Why the operatives insisted he must be served personally is beyond comprehension. After all, it has not been said that he failed to honor any of their invitations. My point is this: while the government discharges it's duty, it should refrain from causing the citizens to question whether we are still operating the Democratic system of government. However, what is more astonishing is that inspite of the court order allowing Dasuki to go abroad for medical check up, the DSS continues to maintain siege on his home preventing him from traveling and insisting he honor their invitation first. Which begs the question of why the DSS will disregard a court order. In the words of the NSA Malami, the action was taken due to the refusal of the former NSA to submit himself to investigation on further allegations apart from the charges that were already preferred against him before the Federal High Court, citing the public interest as reason for the continued siege on his home. I wish to point out that the public is only interested in seeing justice done and all questions regarding funds allocated for security operation accounted for and it is only a healthy man who can do it not a dead man. Dasuki is not being interrogated neither is he receiving medical attention. Seige on his home will not provide the answers we need neither will it declare the man medically fit. We won't have problems extraditing him if he fails to return within the time stipulated by the court since the government has spent so much time strengthening our diplomatic relations. We need to move forward now more than ever. We don't need any one wasting our time because I personally can't wait to see how things work out.
PEACE.
