Pls don't just place it in one spot,let it go round and don't place it for long, probably 30-40secs..and you're good to go.

I sun-heated the entire board since I don't have hot-air gun.

repairing of any PCB (Printed circuit board) is 50:50 chance, It might work or it might not. Not guaranteed

it's not the ram. I've even removed all the components; keyboard, cmos battery, fan etc, it still did not work. Someone suggested heating the motherboard which I did, yet same issue

Definitely ram. Just had the same issue. I have to ram trays... I was able to identify the faulty ram and take it off... My laptop boots well now. Though i need replacement for the bad one.

It's seems like a processor problem. Your processor is probably bad. The exact same thing happened to mine some months back. I changed the processor & it's been working well since then.

Fan runs very fast, this is a sign of bad chip, it's either your graphic chip is bad since it is an AMD laptop or bios is corrupt.
I wouldn't want to say its the RAM because a bad RAM won't make the fan spin very fast but then we can't rule out the possibility.

that system is an Amd board. This sounds like the common motherboard failure associated with such system. You can try to perform a hard reset first.

Hi guys. I'm sad right now. When I power on my HP 625 laptop the screen remains off and after some minutes the cooling fan runs very fast till the battery dies.
What do you think is happening.

Windows is not genuine means the "Installed" windows OS is not an original one not the Pc itself.

The odd zoom like-display of text is due to the installation of windows and the graphics driver not updated.

He ain't lying, If it looks zoomed in you have to change the resolution to the highest allowed on the display and if didnt work you Install graphics drivers. Windows is not genuine krans the windows installed is not a genuine one, it's a pirated one!.

Note that it is an AMD laptop, and for that generation of AMD I won't even advise you to buy it.

for the graphic, he is right, he need to drive the graphic and activate the windows but I won't advise you to buy an AMD laptop of that generation especially when it is a Nigerian use.

I met this guy online. We met at a certain place and seeing the pc, the screen looks like it was zoomed in and it also shows "window is not genuine" in the bottom right corner.
I'm thinking maybe the laptop is a copied one but he said lps are not like phones. He said he's been trying to download graphics for it (which I don't think there is anything like this).
The laptop is hp 625, selling it for #37k!!
