It appears the female gender is under attack. This new trend to always highlight the negatives and rarely acknowledge the positives of women in general is very disturbing. My take on this topic is that while it appears that divorced women get the short end of the stick in majority of cases due to the above points outlined, a choice has been made and the consequences must be lived, no matter how ugly. Focusing on what would have been had she stayed in the marriage is not in the equation anymore since a choice was made to leave in spite of the new perceived challenges.

Once again it all boils down to decisions, some choose to stay in unhappy, abusive marriages preferring that to the alternative while others choose to leave. Our job is to respect the dignity/right to live and be happy of both parties and most importantly mind our own business while we are at it.
