PRAYERS

Precious Lord Jesus, I thank You that You are my Saviour and that You have redeemed me from the kingdom of darkness into the glorious kingdom of Your dear Son – my Saviour Jesus Christ. Lord I know that Your word tells us that the joy of the Lord is our strength and that a joyful heart is a good and healing medicine. Lord I pray that in Your strength I may maintain a heart that is brimming with Your joy and one that rejoices in the God of my Salvation day by day – knowing that a broken spirit ‘dries up the bones’.

Lord I know that You are a miracle working God, and that the greatest miracle of all that You have wrought in me, is my great salvation in Jesus Christ, Who died for me so that I might be forgiven of my sins and have everlasting life, but I also ask that You send Your mighty healing power into my body, during the time of illness that I am currently going through.

Father I pray that You would touch every organ and ligament of my body – every joint and cell and restore me to full health and strength, but I also pray that during my sickness You would touch my heart and fill it with Your love, Your grace and Your joy – for in You is the fullness of joy. Lord You alone can flood a sick body with healing and You alone can overflow a heart with joy and peace - and so I rest my soul in You – and thank You for all the healing of body and soul that I know You are working within me, in Jesus name I pray.

Loving Father we thank You for this time together and we pray that Your joy and peace would rest upon us and that we would be filled to the overflowing with Your Holy Spirit, during this time together.

Increase our love for one another and for You. Instil in our hearts the hope of our salvation, and surround each one of  us with Your love and joy and use us channels to minister to others in  need – this we ask in Jesus name

Heavenly Father we rejoice in Your great wisdom and strength and thank You for being an ever present help in time of need. We ask that as You would send us out from this place with a joyful expectation of what You are going to accomplish in each of our lives and ask that You would remain close to each one in the days that lie ahead.

INTEGRITY

Honesty is marked as being free from deceit or untruthfulness, being sincere. The Christian life should be one marked with integrity and honesty, yet because we all sin and find it easy to do so, honesty is something we must work hard at! A honest life is important on so many levels from relationships with spouses and children, at our workplace, and interacting with our neighbors. Matthew 7:16 tells us that we are known by our fruit. Let us be examples of a God of truth and life by living lives of integrity and truthfulness. All through scripture we can identify the importance of integrity. In the sinful world we live in today, it is obvious that our integrity is imperfect. Perfect integrity can be found in Jesus, and through him we are able to aim towards true integrity for ourselves. Use these Bible verses for a better understanding.

PRAYERS

Loving Lord and Heavenly King, thank You for the work in ministering to others that Your in kindness have placed me. Father there are many challenges and many temptations in the ministry into which You have seen fit to place me and I pray that in all things You would give me wisdom, discernment, integrity and a humility that only comes from You.

Dear Lord, we live in a world where honesty and integrity is severely lacking, but I want to be a wise steward of all I have, honest in all my dealings with those I come in contact - and to give of my best to my employer, when it comes to money matters.

Keep me Lord from having a grasping attitude but rather may I develop a generosity, combined with wisdom that only comes from You and help me to spend whatever money I have in a manner that is pleasing to You.

Help me to be true to Your word and righteous in all my doings and enable me to conquer the temptations, tests and trial that will inevitably come my way, in a manner that is pleasing to You. Help me to be diligent in my work; faithful in my witness; helpful to those with whom I come in contact and be ready to wait on You for Your right timing and for Your best direction.

Give me I pray more of Your grace so that I may speak the truth in love. Enable me to grow in sincerity and wisdom and in the light of Your perfect love.

HUMILITY

We know from God's Word that he resists the proud and gives grace to the humble. How can we know that we are living in humility and ready to receive God's blessings? Humility is the ability to be without pride or arrogance and it is a main character that should be seen in those who follow Jesus Christ. Jesus is the best example of someone who humbly followed God's plan for His life.

Proverbs is filled with warnings of those who refuse to be humble. The New Testament is full of blessings for those who put others before themselves. You will miss out on the blessed, abundant life that God wants for you if you refuse to let get of pride and follow His purpose on your life. HOPE

How is your hope? Does it bounce back after being hit? Does it cause you to doubt when you lose hope in a situation? God knows that we all struggle with finding and holding onto hope. When you are facing tests of faith, even the strongest Christians can find it a challenge to find hope.

Dear Lord, I am your humble servant and I kneel before You today, helpless and weak. I need Your hope for love, kindness and for a better life, Lord. I ask that You fill me from head to toe with Your everlasting light. Bathe me in Your glory, Lord and show me that everything is according to Your plan. Help me walk in Your glorious light and show me the path so that I may follow You in faith. Amen.

Dear Heavenly Father, as I come before you with my heart heavy, I ask for Your help. I lack hope, Lord and pray that You grant me Your eternal hope. Without You, I am nothing, Lord. Without You, I cannot face these obstacles alone. I am at the end of my rope and I need You to carry me, to lift me in your arms and restore my faith and hope, Lord. Bring me the strength I need to survive and to carry on Your will. I acknowledge that this is not something I can do without You. I trust in you, Lord, and Your will is mine. Amen.

Lord, help me to hear you saying, "I am your hope" over all the other voices. Lord, your word says, you are the hope for hopeless so I'm running to you with both hands stretched out and grabbing on to you. Fill me up with hope and give me a tangible reminder today that hope is an unbreakable spiritual lifeline. God, you know those things in my heart that I barely dare to hope for, today I give them to you, I trust them to you, and ask that you because I know that you can do more than I could ever guess, imagine or request in wildest dreams. God, you are my hope and I trust you. Amen.
