According to Otedola, the country has failed to invest in the power sector, and as a result, has not been able to generate enough power to meet the needs of its citizens. He urged the government to prioritize the power sector and create an enabling environment for investors to invest in the sector.

The Nigerian city of Onitsha has been hit by a wave of violence as transport union members known as "Agberos" have taken control of the streets, extorting money from traders and motorists. The Agberos have a long history in Nigeria, operating as unofficial unions and filling the gap left by the government's failure to provide adequate transport infrastructure. However, they have become increasingly aggressive and violent in recent years, and now wield significant power in many cities.

The situation in Onitsha has deteriorated to the point where the police are afraid to intervene, and traders and motorists are left to suffer. The Agberos are accused of extorting money from drivers, seizing their vehicles and demanding ransom, and attacking anyone who defies them. Many traders have been forced to abandon their businesses, and some have been attacked and robbed.

The situation is causing widespread anger and frustration, with many calling on the government to take action to bring the Agberos under control. However, others argue that the problem is deeply rooted in Nigeria's transport system and that more fundamental changes are needed to tackle the issue. Until then, traders and motorists in Onitsha will continue to suffer at the hands of the Agberos.

Every democratic society has laws and institutions in place to ensure that the rule of law is upheld and that no individual or group can subvert the democratic process through threats or acts of violence. The arrest of the individual who was threatening to invite the IPOB to Lagos is a demonstration of the government's commitment to maintaining law and order, protecting the rights of its citizens, and ensuring the safety and security of all. It is important for individuals to express their grievances within the confines of the law and peaceful means, rather than resorting to violence or threats, which can only lead to chaos and instability.

In many countries, including Nigeria, obtaining a permit is often required to hold a rally or protest. The permit process is typically overseen by the relevant government authorities or law enforcement agencies. The purpose of requiring a permit is to ensure public safety, maintain order, and prevent any potential disruptions or conflicts.

If you are planning to organize a rally or protest, it is important to research the local laws and regulations regarding permits and follow the necessary steps to obtain one. This may involve filling out an application, providing details about the planned event, and paying any associated fees.
