It's the Senegalese players that deserve all the media hype that Nigerian players got. While our players were doing frivolous things with their time, Senegalese players were being serious with training. |

Mikel has little or nothing more to offer to the team anymore. The earlier we realize that, the better for our lot. Again, 3 5 2 will save us from further embarrassments in Russia. Ighalo isn't doing the needful, Moses too. Let's see what others can offer, that's why FIFA made the list 23. |

Ronaldo just exposed the unfortunate truth about Portugal National team. That team is empty and might even go as low as not qualifying for major tournaments when Ronaldo leaves. I watched the whole team playing in disarray except few excellent touches to coordinate passes here and there. Even the Portuguese know this and are already scared for the future. Portugal would have won this match with a 2 goal margin but the strikers made a mess of the chances created. Did anyone notice that Ronaldo was never assisted for any of his goals. He worked for all 3 of them. Portugal will witness the end of an Era very soon. |

safarigirl: Messi and Ororo C are closer to 30 than 20, it is totally wrong to join those old men and these small boys together. Compare Messi and Ororo to Mikel and Musa or Onazi, how many times do those guys post on social media?
BTW, CR7 is almost a shareholder on IG, so make we no even use that one as example.
Social media presence also depends on personality. Eg. Iwobi is a social media wh-ore, Kelechi is not. Lol. Noted but you get me. I get you too baby |

safarigirl: you are making a fuss over nothing.
John Ogu has a phobia for flying and the guys make fun of him every time they fly, it's been on since they all started flying together, I saw the videos early last year, and all of them laugh about it.
I actually think that many of us here take things far too seriously. It may not be funny to you, but it is funny to them and even him (once he gets off the plane).... It is a Nigerian thing to make fun of people, especially among guys. No be say dem go come dey form support group on top the matter, he's not suffering from PTSD
And @icon4s, sir, the boys are very much still in gyration mood. I watched a video this evening of Kelechi and Awaziem singing their usual Igbo songs, and oga Ndidi was the cameraman. Which defeat wan humble them? Nothing fit worse pass the one wey dem collect from SA last year. I am against Social media madness on the part of our players. How many times do you see Messi or Ototo C. Post like that? |

I saw a video of John Ogu suffering a panic attack on board a flight to Austria yesterday. That video was inappropriate to say the least because I didn't see any humour in it rather I saw something capable of straining his relationship with those who were recording it. Our players seem to be getting it all wrong with their social media presence and display. I feel social media does more harm than good in football. Little wonder most countries have placed their players on regulations. A situation whereby a player Visits the Internet for his assessment when there are trolls who derive joy in running your confidence down is very bad. I remember Mikel had to delete his Twitter account after his back pass led to Chelsea defeat by Juventus sometime in 2013. These players need to take it easy. They are not show businessmen. |

Takeaways from this match. Mikel is gradually fading away. No thanks to Chinese league. Iwobi is not properly recognized but he just proved his worth. Joel Obi and Aina might just be on their way back save Agu subs Obi. John Ogu is a utility player. All in all. It's a fair game |

safarigirl: um....Aina is not mixed race sir Get my point ma. Mixed race was used to buttress foreign bred. It doesn't necessarily mean they have to be, I only used that cos most of them are that way. You get? |

goldfish80: Maybe the red carpet was rolled out to wean him over from England. Lots of promises must have been made. That could explain his lackadaisical attitude or maybe he was never that good afterall. If he was home based, his SE career will have been over by tongue twisters here. Rohr will have my respect if he has the balls to drop him. Thank you for outlining this aspect of my argument. Once we see anything foreign our bodies will start reacting like a girl being wooed. We don't want to use our scrutiny spectacles to analyze again. Aina doesn't deserve a place in the present SE setup |

tbaba1234: Ola Aina is not a bad player like that na!!
He is good offensively but has defensive frailties. He is the best crosser among the fullbacks. I do not think, we have even seen the best of him for Nigeria. Even if he does not make the WC, he has a future with Nigeria. Sir, I hate to differ with you but trust me, I completely disagree with you on this one. If Aina gets a shirt in GWG then its out of sentiment and not merit. From the days of Babayaro, Udeze, Taye Taiwo (even Juwon Oshaniwa) You could see what is required of our LBs. Aina has got none of those qualities. |

Joebie: Kai.. u harsh o.
Modified We still need to see him at RB though. Maybe after the WC. I don't want to see him in that team again. What annoys me most is how our complex-issues-journalists hype this mixed race players. I remember the hype that followed Aina's switch of nationality. For a moment I thought he was better than Kylian Mbappe, I didn't know he was refuse dumped by England. Let me tell you, even England Z team, Aina cannot make it. |

Joebie: Yea.. when Aina made his debut I was like ‘Alas! Bye bye Echiejile” but the he has not done anything noteworthy since then. Now we have to pray Idowu does well cuz he is our only hope at LB When I watched Aina play his first match for GWG I just knew he was over hyped cos he was born and raised in England. To be honest, he isn't really a top class player. He plays like a schoolboy and that's why he may never kick a ball for Chelsea. He isn't good with tackles (miscalculated tackles etc) and he's got no good pace. |

realpoacher: Don't try to prove to be too smart by lieing through your teeth.
Ebuehi held the back of his thighs first before he got to ground and held his toes.
That's a sign of pain in the groin which is called hamstring injury.
If he didn't aggravate it and was walking well after the match then Glory be to God because I will be guttered if that injury resurfaced
But let it be known to you that my first paragraph wasn't a statement of fact rather that of fear and uncertainty. Pls stop saying nonsense. You have been saying the wrong thing since and people have been trying to correct you yet you chose to be incorrigible. Do you even know what a hamstring injury is? Pls just stop and go to bed. You need to rest. |
