But all seems to carry a drive by cable system. The 04 have worked on carried it's oil filter at the rear of the engine block while the 07 have worked on carried it's oil filter somewhat close to the bottom tray of engine

Worked on an 05 last week with drive by cable also, but that was a modification that was meant for 06-07.
If that is the case, then the engine should be 07.

Disagree on the Honda leg thing, being careful in selecting source of parts solves the Honda leg problem 90%, the remaining 10% is based on who handles your car.

Slightly different, 06-07 uses iats but 03-05 does not.

Fix an 03 on 07, will need to adjust throttle, sometimes, replaced, to run smoothly.
