Counseling teens

What were your favorite and worse subjects/course in school? Explain why

Fave: Mathematics - all you need do is just cram formulars and you are good to go grin

Worse: Geography - back then, I never understood what that subject was all about because I found it too abstract but presently, I can't seems to get enough of it, maturity I guess, lool

What are some of your talents? How did you discovered them and what have you done to cultivate and improve on them. Also, briefly tell how these strengths have affected your lives.

One I pride myself so much in, though not inherent, is teen counseling.

During my undergrad, I got to understand the essence of being a confidential ear to them - you see these lots got problems and are in need of people to talk to so as to be guided, you would be amazed with what you hear them say.

I get to improve more on this talent of mine by reading recent articles about teen issues online.

Oh, I would say doing this makes me happy and fulfilled. Seeing that you guide these teens into making rational decisions in their lives is something anyone can be proud of.

If you could go back in time and do things over again, what would you change?

That would be being a science student.

I had a change of mind because everyone in my school wanted to be in the science class, being one to always stand out and not be seen among the crowd, I opted for social science.

Relationship wise, what has been the most special way you've shown someone you love them and what special way have you been rendered love?

To be forthright with you, curiosity got me here.

Back then before I joined the forum, on several occasions, I've observed and seen my brother sitting, staring @ his phone and seriously LOL, so one day I decided to ask him what the trick was and his response "you've got to be here on this forum to understand". I asked him "what forum" and he replied "Nairaland".

Viola! That was how I got myself registered -to come LOL, loolol.

He's no longer a regular on here tho, twitter has taken over, loolol

2. Who is your favorite Nairalander, and why did you choose him/her?

I've got more than one.

Reason being that each Nairalander got in them something to like. It could be his/her intelligence, inspiration, sense of humor, empathy, how respectful, caring, loyal and sensitive he/she is and so on...that opined, my Forum Games Family, my NCC Team and my Followers can be termed, My Fave Nairalanders.✔

Why? They've all in one way or the other impacted upon my life positively and I love them to infinity kiss

3. What is one strength and one weakness of yours?

Strength - Tolerance.

Weakness - Procrastination - why I work better with deadlines fixed by me or otherwise.

4. Tell us about a time when you were disciplined, what happened?

This incidence I can never forget, loolol

When my dad slapped me for bringing a dude to the house, it was my first time and the guy was quite macho due to his gymnastic trainings and see me, tiny me, lool

After that incidence, no guy was allowed near my house, well all that changed when I got admission into the tertiary institution.

5. Many teens are becoming pregnant today, do you think they should be punished for their actions?

Punished after the deed is already done?

The pregnancy itself is already a greater punishment.

I'l go with educating these teens in their early stages in life about social problems as these, it would help in curbing down to an extent these incidences.

And even after they still stubbornly refuse to adhere to your instructions and do otherwise, they still need our love and care to guide them on.
