I wonder why dangote will need 270 workers from India alone in a country of over 100 million available work force.

It's not untrue that our educational system is not in order, but adequate training will fill the gap.

Use Nigeria, grow Nigeria.

We'll remain committed.

They are more than 500 Indians working with Dangote group,I've been to the Refinery and I was marvel at the sight too many Indians, you will think you are in India.
Is it that Nigeria company owners dont trust Nigerians at all?

World Health Organization resumes coronavirus trial on malaria drug hydroxychloroquine after examining safety concerns

PUBLISHED WED, JUN 3 2020 12:10 PM EDT
UPDATED 3 HOURS AGO

The World Health Organization is resuming its trial of hydroxychloroquine, the malaria drug backed by President Donald Trump to combat the deadly coronavirus, after temporarily halting research over safety concerns.

The Data Safety Monitoring Board decided there was no reason to discontinue the international trial after reviewing available data on the drug, WHO Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus said during a press conference Wednesday at the agency's Geneva headquarters.

"The executive group received this recommendation and endorsed the continuation of all arms of solidarity trial including hydroxychloroquine," he said.

One of my friends escaped been kidnapped in Akoko Ondo state last week.
They stopped two vehicles rob everyone of them and select 7 people to be kidnapped.
While been lead into the Bush, he resorted to running since he noticed that the Fulani guy behind him was holding a dane gun.
He ran zig zag, the Fulani guy fired the 1st shot but he was lucky the bullet didn't hit him. Before he could cork his gun again, he has disappeared into the Bush.
They decided to leave him since they still have 6 captives.

And Obaseki himself is a product of what ? If not godfatherism. Did Oshiomole not singlehandedly annoint Obaseki among the 100 candidates? Was Iyamu not an APC member before he defeated to PDP because Oshiomole favoured Obaseki ahead of Pastor in 2016?
What I hate about most of you, you only cry of godfatherism when it does not favour you.

Say no to godfatherism, but Obaseki himself is a product of godfatherism. Tell Obaseki to pass the law no gathering of more than 100 people. It will only make the work easier for Oshiomole and Mr President
So you mean Oshiomole and Mr. President are working together,to achieve what exactly in this regard.

I know the post is not about the LAHA speaker ,Im just trying to let you see reason why godfatherism isn't good for our politics.
Let me ask you one question,is godfatherism good for Nigeria's politics?

Dont respond with an insult/abuse like some regular nairalanders do and your answer should be simply Yes of No with explanation.
Thank you

And which of your PDP states is close to Lagos in terms of development? The same Tinubu, Obaseki still rushed to meet in Lagos just few days ago.
The same godfatherism that brought Obaseki to power from no where?
You think I'm a PDP card carrying member,I don't belong to any political party,I support good governance. My point is,godfatherism is bad for our politics.
Take a look at all the allegations agains LAHA speaker,he couldn't even defend himself,he simply said he wont respond to Sahara reporters again. He knew quite alright that nothing will happen to him. With his godfather still alive,he remains unshakable.

Since direct will involve more than 400 people which you are right, the major election too will involve more than 700,000 people, which is not good because of Covid 29. It so safe not to have election at this time around till after Covid 19.
The President can just appoint sole administrator after the tenure of Obaseki.
Clever by half
Where do you see 700,000 people gather during election. The gathering in each polling unit which depends on the numbers of accredited voters cannot be more than 300 at a time in Edo state.

Whichever way the best candidate should win
An end should come to godfatherism in Nigeria's politics. This is what is killing Lagos State, the fear Tinubu and his cronies is the beginning of wisdom for any governor in Lagos State.

I love the valid point raised by Obaseki that the direct primary election which involves more than 400k people could cause the spread of COVID-19.
He should quickly align with the state assembly to promulgate a law banning any public gathering that holds more than 100 in a confined space including ralies till the end of the year.
Passing this bill into law will automatically checkmate Oshiomole's plan to hold direct primaries in the state.

Was Shetima not a governor for 8 years, how well did he perform? Did he get to resign due to poor performance? When has it ever happened that a high profiled Nigerian resigned for a reason not related to having a higher political ambition?
The dude was appointed to represent the interest of the president, be it by propagation of lies or disinformation. Do you have a stand-by job to offer him after his resignation?

When Governor Ganduge of Kano state was caugh red-handed in a multimillion dollar scandal, did he resign? Did your fellow senator that was caught on cámara assaulting a woman in a sex shop at Abuja resign? Did you recommend resignation for him at any moment?
My friend shut your mouth and put on a mask. You are currently a Senator, I just hope you will resign when you are caught in a bribery, corruption or any other scandal.
Are you drunk? If others are doing bad thing and they feel cool about doesn't make it right, your integrity matters most.

Too many dumb comments here, all I expect NCDC to do is to run another test to check if she's still positive or not. She might have a strong immune system that fights the virus in her system.
She has been in isolation /detention for 39 days and hadn't taken any drug, that's fantastic. Run a test on her if it comes out negative 2 times then allow her to go.
If she didn't allow samples to be taken then let her remain there without food.

@ 36 weeks I don't believe vanishing twin syndrome can occur at this stage. A 36 weeks old baby is more or less a termed baby.

Vanishing twin syndrome only happens before the 12th week of pregnancy.

eRex:
Dear reporter,

I know you are forwarding a story. do well to forward the second part as released.

There are a thousand information that was not released here but if you READ CAREFULLY the woman's claims, it should bring some questions to mind.

- How will a hospital that INTENDS to steal one of your twin babies inform you via scan report (that can easily be modified) that you are expecting twin babies?

- if the supposed woman that was injected to sleep for the process of Cesarean Section (CS) to be carried out as she claim, how could she also at the same time be awake to see that she also had twin babies.... I will let fellow women who have gone through CS to elaborate on that.
For Layman sake... You are either given an injection to Put you at Numb so as not to feel pain during CS process OR you are totally knocked out by an injection till the process is over.

Listen to some other facts which has not been revealed by this same couple which proves that the couple were FULLY aware that they were expecting just 1 child.

However the reason for the REPEATED scan was because the Gynecologist was always feeling one feotal heartbeat during every examination, told her to go for scan for a double check and SCAN UNIT gives her a report that she is carrying twins.

- the couple purchased ONE set of delivery kit on the day of childbirth. When he was asked for the second delivery kit, he simply stated that let the babies come out first
- When the delivery was taken and it was discovered that it was one baby, the husband was immediately called into the theatre (against hospital regulation) to see what was been observed in the theatre and in their words; he never acted surprised which also baffled the staffs. The wife was never aware about the whole development till she awoke
- After some days the husband in company of his family members and their pastor went to the hospital to request for the supposed second twin which He now claims was stolen by those who carried out the CS. When it was delibrated, it was proven that it was a clear case of Error report from the Scan unit
- Family not satisfied took the case to Alagbon CID who did an investigation recovered all the patient file from the hospital, called in 3rd party medical personnel to review and clearly insinuated that there was no Second baby. The couples lawyer even hinted that it was not stolen baby.

Still not satisfied the family Probably hired another lawyer (as the first lawyer hinted he will not be able to carry on with the case). The family is now requesting the sum of two hundred and fifty million naira (₦250,000,000) within two weeks in order not to take the case to court or hospital should provide their baby.
But unfortunately the corona virus pandemic plus lockdown has made it difficult to proceed hence they have decided to use social media.

There are more to this story but I will stop here let the breaker of the news release her second part of her story.

Summary still remains the hospital may not be totally clear of the blame but obviously d couple did not have a twin birth neither did the hospital stole a baby that was not birthed.

I guess someone is asking how I knew all these.. well let see how the story unfolds
Seems like you work in that hospital. Are you ready to testify in court? If not, it's better you keep all these to yourself.
