The way the church has treated sexuality has caused lots of problems. Courtship should be a point where you get to know each other properly. That could includes what each of you love in sex and your feelings about it. Unfortunately, many go mute on this area, expecting a miracle to occur after they say 'I do'. That's when you discover that the guy is impotent or the lady can't give birth. There is also a category of people who don't have any feeling whatsoever for sex. They are known as asexuals. It's more prevalent in women than men. Maybe that's what the wife is going through. At least, she doesn't refuse hubby's advances but she doesn't give a damn about the sex either. Go and see a sex therapist, that's the best advice you can follow now. For those intending to get married, get to know your partner's sexual likes and dislikes. Stop the holier than thou attitude on sex. And yes, sex is food! |

InspectorIawaI:Hi inspectorlawal, I take exception to your putting Brisbanequeen on this list. I have done many jobs for her and she is prompt with her payment. She pays every forthnight unless she has changed it and will commend your work if it's good. There are many scammers here on NL and I have met a few. But I believe the problem here is that many writers whose work has been rejected use this forum to throw aspersions on those who rejected their works. If you're among them, go and brush up on your skills. There are many courses online, free and paid, you can take for this purpose. Once again, I put it to you that Brisbanequeen is not a scammer. At least I can testify to that. |
I saw Ufuoma Bernard's article, disagreeing with some aspects of the new Olu of Warri's conduct during his conduct during the weekend. He complained about how he desecrated aspects of Itshekiri culture by giving his speech in English and singing a gospel song. Well, I thought I should give him and other similar purists a piece of my mind. The so called traditions and cultures most purists harp on about replaced a previous way of doing things at a time due to pragmatism and the needs of the moment. So don't be surprised that they are being replaced. The Olu just demonstrated his pragmatism in dealing with the times that have changed. The traditional monarchy system is under pressure to prove it's relevance in society. Many have questioned it's maintenance in the face of the local government system we have. The Olu was only demonstrating the need for change. His duties will be very different from that of his forefathers. So why carry out rituals and rites that have no meaning in the present day? In Warri today, there are many non indigenes who have settled in the town so the Olu has to reach out to them. There are also other realities that weren't around in the past which also have to be dealt with like the presence of the two major imported religions. Even constitutional monarchies like those of the British, Dutch, Spanish, Swedish, and the Belgians have had to alter their behavior and how they interact with the public. The Olu, with his exposure, has realized this and has added this fact to his own reality. So you purists have to be realistic about situations rather than harp on about 'awa kulsho' as if the past was all rosy. |

Morning I use a P15 Itel phone which I bought new I'm February. My challenge is that the phone charges very slowly. An instance is the phone gaining only 6 percent power when charged between 10pm and 6am. I have changed the charging wire but it's still the same situation. What can I do to rectify it as it's slowing down my activities and I can't undertake some activities with the phone? Thank you |
An opportunity for you guys to shine.
