@ shahan Are u for the Blues? Just saw ur reply on the other side, hope to meet u morrow, until then. . KEEP LIVING IN AN ATMOSPHERE OF MIRACLES ![]() |
T Money:Please I haven't read through the thread, but did anyone say so or u are just insinuating? T Money:surprising right? Ok, When u get to heaven, ask Jesus because in his time on earth he didn't heal all the sick. An instant at the pool in Bethesda remember? the book of john the 5th chapter? did u realise they were many sick people there but only one miracle performed by Jesus was recorded? after the death of Jesus, the apostled healed many whose cases where as long, far back the time of Jesus. Question: where were they in Jesus' time? . . Like a fish thirsty or drowned when basically they live in the water thats how the story is. This really is utter bullshit and I feel very sorry for the supporters of such confidence tricksters and criminals like Pastor ChrisI suppose u are a Christian right? What makes u right in speaking about God's anointed this way? I won't say a thing because your word is your judgement. Here. . T Money:He loves u too. T Money:Crusade is a campaign concerted to announce the Goodnews Which includes healing and other miracles to as many who would believe. Just like moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness and only those that looked up were saved so also anyone that comes for such programmes are saved from any bondage of satan when they believe this gospel.God has made a way out of our mess for us but its left to us to key in our faith because we are free moral beings( so God made us) deo W:word! And for your new atheist stand on nairaland, you and i know that in your heart of hearts, you believe this gospel that we preach. But for the sake of maintaining some balance and of course, some more excitement, you prefer to be seen as atheist. Well keep it up.Is he an atheist?? |
@Shahan thanks for ur input again, I'm the one humbled, 4 real. I just said to come and check the replies before i sleep and found urs which has raised some topics in my mind but i rather not start up a thread on it. One of them includes The Trinity. This has popped out from ur reference to Jesus. What do u think? Its hard to differentiate the persons of the Godhead for they are one and same but their mainifestations tells us who is in operation at different point in time. Tho i still believe that in Isaiah 63:10 referred to the Holy spirit. cos verse 10 modifies verse 9 in that context. I really need to catch some sleep. TTYS. Remain Blessed |
@ shan, gbade.x thanks. So gunners have found their way to this thread? Abeg o. I'm a blue rep, beware. ![]() |

I don't like the fighting ones because i'm always beaten by my brothers but i remember i was once a don in mortal combat lol.@ all Is there any game about scriptures or any related yet? I'd love it. or should we request for the production of one ? it like could work. |

I won't try to disparage your experience; but I would rather be persuaded by the Word of God than taking anyone's experiences for it. We live in a day when people tnd to magnify their own experiences over Scripture; and I trust you're not one of them. That's true, but I respect people's experiences. Cos when one has such experience, it gives that person a new balance in viewing the things of God. Knowledge of God are in various ways and one of them is the experiential one which includes u participating in the picture; whether by seeing or hearing or feeling. . but we bear in mind Rom 8;14 and not people's experiences. In as much as I regard people's encounter, my perception of the Holy Spirit in/through His word is still esteemd highest. Nonetheless, we read of the various passions of the Holy Spirit in a number of verses. He can be grieved (Eph. 4:30); lied to (Acts 5:3-5); and bears/helps with our infirmities (Rom. 8:26). But nowhere does Scripture give us the picture of Him weeping. There's no where in the Bible that could be quoted from that he wept but in Rom 8:26-27, The type of Prayer involved here is not just a person's but two involved, we and the Holy Spirit. He's present and could be said participating in our groaning as we pray and he intercedes for us. Romans 8:26 (King James Version) Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. Romans 8:26 (Amplified Bible) So too the [Holy] Spirit comes to our aid and bears us up in our weakness; for we do not know what prayer to offer nor how to offer it worthily as we ought, but the Spirit Himself goes to meet our supplication and pleads in our behalf with unspeakable yearnings and groanings too deep for utterance. Romans 8:26-28 (The Message) Meanwhile, the moment we get tired in the waiting, God's Spirit is right alongside helping us along. If we don't know how or what to pray, it doesn't matter. He does our praying in and for us, making prayer out of our wordless sighs, our aching groans. He knows us far better than we know ourselves, knows our pregnant condition, and keeps us present before God. That's why we can be so sure that every detail in our lives of love for God is worked into something good. From this different Versions, it is evident that we and the Holy spirit are involved in this groaning/wordless sighs. This type of prayer is deep and cannot be explained fully enough. It's a point where we are in him praying and he is in us praying too but this time with one voice, with the Holy Spirit bringing out our earnest need to God. . But a question that pops out is, where do we draw a line between groaning and weeping? are this words synonymous? @ shahan and donnie please help me out. . I nor sabi english well. But i know in groaning, shedding of tears is possible as in weeping. The angel of His presence is rather the Lord Jesus Christ in His pre-incarnate ministry. You can read the following verses for cross-reference and verification: Exodus 23:20; 32:34; 33:2; and Num. 20:16.the references u gave goes ahead to explain what Donnie says as per the holy spirit being the Angel of His presence rather than the pre-incarnate ministry of Christ Jesus. Isaiah 63:8-10 (King James Version) For he said, Surely they are my people, children that will not lie: so he was their Saviour. 9In all their affliction he was afflicted, and the angel of his presence saved them: in his love and in his pity he redeemed them; and he bare them, and carried them all the days of old. 10But they rebelled, and vexed his holy Spirit: therefore he was turned to be their enemy, and he fought against them. Isaiah 63:9-10 (The Message) He said, "Without question these are my people, children who would never betray me." So he became their Savior. In all their troubles, he was troubled, too. He didn't send someone else to help them. He did it himself, in person. Out of his own love and pity he redeemed them. He rescued them and carried them along for a long, long time. 10But they turned on him; they grieved his Holy Spirit. So he turned on them, became their enemy and fought them. verse 10 shows us who this angel is; the Holy Spirit. And your other reference talks about this same angel that God gave to his people to lead them. He is still that angel today. An angel means a messenger. He is the messenger of the presence of God. Stephen saw the Lord Jesus in a vision-Acts 7:56. Jesus is in heaven but the holy Ghost is the one here carrying God's presence from place to place. John 15:26 says he proceeds from the Father. He is the one that comes out from God to represent God where ever His name is mentioned in Faith, wherever God's people are gathered; church, home, conferences etc. And the most exciting of all -he appears in different places at the same time doing different works. He is here in/with me, he is there in/with u and where all God's people at right now and never diminishes i.e Thru his ministry, we experience the omnipresent power of God. This is the angel of his presence. |

Salvation from hell fire. ![]() The truth communicated here is that there should not be any reference to christians as the "Penticostals". The day of penticost happened to be the day the Holy Spirit came down on the apostles. hey, there were some events recorded in the bible after the penticost day that some christians were found who had not receieved the Holy spirit and these were not refered to as "non-penticostals". We understand what people mean each time they say penticostals but it isnt scriptural and this is an awareness call. I know many have used this term to describe spirit filled christian all their lives and have never sat back to think about it. I for one, didn't realise it too until i heard and it makes sense. As for the spirit and the dove issue, It is clear from all the references about Jesus' baptism that it didn't call the Holy Spirit a dove but referred to the manner of the descension. If u doubt it, read it again, its in black and white. For the fact that man shares some of God's xteristics can not make man God. Human beings share some xteristics with plants but does not mean we are plants. Calling the Holy spirit a dove is reducing his person to common creature. He could move like a wind, burn like fire descend in the form of dove but he is non of these. He is the captain of the lord's host. That Spirit that proceeds from the Father. He looks like Jesus in everything. He could be grieved. The one that raised Christ from the dead and has come to dwell in us. The one that makes God real to us. He is gentle yet he is not a dove! I am not against anointing with olive oil or handkerchiefs etc. I know that the spirit of God can work in any way he wishes. But I am against it when the heart of the people are directed to these things like what they can't do without. when people no longer depend on God and his word but look for these things. For example, If i want to minister to someone, and the spirit of God says pour water on this person, He did not use that to say, always pour water on people when u minister to them. Many people can not stay long in a place where they tell them to listen and depend on God's word, they feel its too slow but the minute they get hanky and stuff, they actually believe God has touched them.Christinaity has been stereotyped and this means carnality. If u ask me, this is where i see a problem. |
I don't understand u bro backslider. Jesus is the Redeemer, the one that came to pay for our sins with his precious blood, taking up on himself our sinful nature and init judged and condemned sin itself. 2 Corinthians 5:21 (King James Version) For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him. Romans 8:3 (King James Version) For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh: Now that is not to say we still don't have sinners in the world today but . . 2 Peter 3:9 (King James Version) The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance. The grace of God is available and his mercies never run dry but are new every morning. If man were God, surely we would have been condemned long ago. But because of God's love, he sent his son to the world to pay this debt of sin that brings condemnation. Romans 5:8 (King James Version) But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Man was made in the image and likeness of God before sin came and seperated man from God. This however, did not make man valueless before Him( u could squeeze and dirty a bill of naira or your cedi, it would only look dirty and unacceptible sometimes but the value still remains the same with a mint of same bill). Our lord Jesus said. . Matthew 13:44 (King James Version) Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto treasure hid in a field; the which when a man hath found, he hideth, and for joy thereof goeth and selleth all that he hath, and buyeth that field. Christ did not die for christians for christianity is the product/fruit of redemption. He died for the WORLD. The Field in the ref above denotes the world, and the treasure;the people init. God seeks to save and not to condemn. He is wisdom, he can't save us to condemn us. its sin that brings condemnation on a man that is its servant AKA sinner- The one that is not yet saved. God is love, love doesn't condemn but seeks to make right. |
hi guys, how y'all been? @ shahan I thot u was gone, but deep down i knowed u'd come back.( don't mind the lang, just playing with it. . .so sup?) ![]() About the issue of condemnation, Please o, Jesus never condemned sinners and that is what why we are here on earth; to continue his ministry which is of reconciliation. This is the Goodnews we preach or else its not good afterall when it condemns. Condemnation comes from sin, yes we know but this does not mean that God hates sinners. Rather he made a way out for us through the blood of Jesus that was shared when he died on the cross( what love is more than that?) John 3:19 (King James Version) --And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. lets see a louder version. John 3:19 (Amplified Bible) The [basis of the] judgment (indictment, the test by which men are judged, the ground for the sentence) lies in this: the Light has come into the world, and people have loved the darkness rather than and more than the Light, for their works (deeds) were evil. Since the very day sin came into existence, it judged the world and brought condemnation. But thank God there is goodnews- we are to decide what path to go. The word rather in the passage above shows that there's a choice involved. Its a clear fact in the world today. U preach to some people and they don't give in, they prefer to keep on with their own way. That their decision (to continue in sin) per se, condemns them. in the OT, where we can also see where our decision controls our destiny. . . Deuteronomy 30:19 (King James Version) I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live: Here we find, irrespective of the choice before us, God in his infinite mercy and love showing us the better pick. We are still like in the garden of Eden today where we are faced with choices (both choice of words and actions) that could either bring condemnation on us or life. Thank God for LOVE (who he is).He loves us and doesn't want us condemned by sin. His LOVE is forever. David said this love is better than life itself. This is the godnews that has been committed to our trust. The word of life which we preach. Even while we were sinners, Christ died for us. S W E E T L O V E O F J E S U S. PS: the whole world was died for and legally saved, but vitally, for one to enjoy salvation and its full package which includes forgiveness of sin, he must consciously acknowledge he is a sinner, that christ died for him and then confess THE LORD JESUS and not his sins (Rom 10;9). |
