Someone should tell Tinubu and Cardoso to leave Crypto a d it's traders alone.
You're not exporting anything and importing everything, yet you want the naira to magically appreciate.

It's not about importation alone Because, we have been importing for many years and it wasn't this bad. In fact, Buhari stopped the importation of 41 items which is still in effect till today

I don't know about them being used for crypto or money laundry but I just have a natural dislike for digital banks operating in Nigeria

The way I hate traditional banking now, ehh! Digital banking, thanks for coming to the rescue. The exploitation of commercial banks is just too much

Well-done op.

Please how much do you farmers sell your watermelons over there and how do go about getting buyers?

This is my first time doing this, I'm not really a full time farmer. But the one I planted, paid 1000 naira per congo. A congo is like ten tins of milk. Unpeeled ones. Peeled ones is around 300 naira per tin of milk. I hope this help.

I bought a N1,500 water melon from the Aboki on my street...then I playfully asked him in a friendly manner if I could get some seeds because I want to plant them and boom...he promised to get me the seeds and he did for free. You can also try.
He was surprised though, Maybe because I'm a lady

Hausas are nice people. I will try to see if I can get it through them for the dry season farming

besides what makes you think the meat pie is meat pie ... with the cost of meat e sure naa potato pie cheesy not getting value for ur money sef naa lost

Nigerians need to learn to unite at rejecting maltreatment, even if you can afford it lets consider others nd demand for whats right

The meat pie that could even already be contaminated.

So supporting you now brings death and suffering to people.
And people say maybe you are not aware, that is even worse.
This is not the Ahmed Bola Tinubu I used to know"

That's more like it. The man and his administration is a curse to Nigerians.

cool

Laughing. I have been around here long enough to know what you meant by lalasticlala friends without mentioning its name now. But no so far. They're plenty around here, people even encounter the biggest of the biggest while passing by. But I haven't encountered one on the farm so far.

This is project mad cool.

Thanks

If I get you correctly, did you say in your last paragraph that you planted two different varieties of water melon? I hybrid and the other non-hybrid?

Mostly just melon. I would have liked to plant water melon but I couldn't get it at the time. So, I bought and planted few seeds of hybrid water melon (like 100 seeds in total) at a cost of 4500 naira, too costly. The rest is plain melon (egusi)

Second, are you depending on any form of irrigation here such as drip irrigation?

No irrigation. Just this scanty rainfall so far.

Last but NOT least, I read that you folks in Osogbo enjoy 24 hours electricity daily... Is this assertion true?

Kudos to you and all the BEST!
That was before. IBEDC is in serious mess at the moment, it is mostly darkness 24/7.

They obviously don't think things through before they implement them.

They are actually out of ideas. Privatisation of power sector has failed, just left the government to accept reality

Eventually, many of those on Band A will go green and there's a chance that NEPA won't meet their monthly targets anymore in terms of payments. What will happen then??
VeeVeeMyLuv:

They will pack up

Go moribund as usual unless the govt responsible for the same numerous problems intervene

Three of them have been taken over by the banks and IBEDC taken over by AMCON already due to indebtedness

OP, are you sure it's wise to plant watermelons among melons (tares and wheat situation). Cross pollination will surely happen and may not be helpful? BUT WHAT DO I KNOW ABOUT FARMING? Let the gurus throw more light, sha!

Not planted among but separately and I don't think the two can cross pollinated successfully. The water was just few seeds on a small portion of the land

Nice .. I'm doing something like this ...
I have Melon farm
Water melon farm
And Maize farm
... although, all in the backyard.
May God bless our hustle this year.

This is my surroundings as well but couldn't plant maize as much as I would like to because of goats. Couldn't really lay my hand on water melon seeds. The one I bought was like less than 100 seeds at N4500

How about other African countries?
U no get shame at all. You think you are the only who supported this administration to power, right?
Does it even make sense to you for any African country to be paying non justifiable huge amount of money for energy when economically developed countries with higher income per citizen are paying less?
Remember, all these people in power removing subsidy on this and that do not even pay one naira for fuel or power supply as they are getting it free at the expense of the masses.

The commission, using technology, discovered that many of the feeders that the Electricity Distribution Companies currently brandish as Band A are not meeting the required service and as such the feeders were ordered to be downgraded immediately as a way of protecting consumers,” he said.

I have benefited from this downgrade, frok N225 to N67 per unit
