Yet, some fuuls on nairaland still making excuses for manufacturers, distributors, wholesalers and retailers as to why the prices are still going up instead of coming down.
Look at the dollar/naira rate too. Nigerians are naturally wicked people with complete lack of sense of patriotism
Properties / Re: Should I Have One Kitchen For Each of My Wives? by maasoap(m): 4:43pm On Apr 23
Kajaard:

Op if you want peace in your house build two separate kitchens for each wife.

Women don't get along with each other unlike men. To make it worse these are two wives that will be envious of each other and hate each other as well .

That's not the case all the time, we that grew up in polygamous family can attest to it. Things might have changed these present days but it wasn't always hate and jealous when people like us were growing up in polygamous family. It was the best

Kipaji:
I'm building my home for me and my two wives.

Each wife will have her bedroom.
Now, I am wondering whether I should build one or two kitchen.
What do you think?
Input from (current or future) polygamists and women would be appreciated.

If you can't afford two flats, incorporate two separate kitchens even if you guys will end up not needing it. Remodelling can be costly. God bless your home

Sorry, the electricity sector was NOT privatized. It was privatized in the same way that fuel subsidy has been abolished, in the same way the naira has been floated. The same way the PIB supposedly reformed the oil & gas sector.

The Federal Government has ALWAYS been in complete control of the electricity sector.

The Federal Government owns 100% of TCN. That's all the evidence needed without going into much detail. I continue to be amazed at the IGNORANCE of Nigerians.

Good Luck to Nigeria.

Even the minister mentioned the word "privatise" multiple times. We were all alive when power sector was privatised.

Why then are banks and AMCON taking over? Care to explain to us? Have you seen banks and AMCON taking over govt corporations? Lol.

If you have said not 100% privatised, you would have made sense. But you said wasn't privatised! Yet, you don't see yourself as being the ignorant one here. According to you, the power minister is ignorant too.

Then again, did you see me mention TCN? Oversabi dey worry you.

Even with the GENCOS and DISCOS, did you read where Oyo state govt was said to have written the NERC that the state wants to exercise her right of the partial ownership? What did that tell you? It clearly showed that running of those companies (GENCOS and DISCOS) had been left for the private sector since 2013 across the nation with exception of IPP.

You deserve that sorry of yours more than anyone if you think power minister, Jonathan and other Nigerians who know that power sector was privatised are ignorants

What you actually have is a jungle!

A proactive government would properly investigate and gather evidence and seek a court order to shut them down. But since Nigeria does not follow its laws, we just swoop in!

What if this company contests the allegations and is found to not be guilty in court? Would Nigeria not have to compensate them for loss of earnings?

This, alone, is enough to make one suspect they don't ban Nigerians.

And people like you would be among the people who saw nothing bad in it. Now, you're still wailing. Closing down the place is the first step because if you don't do immediately, the outcry will still continue. Closing down the place doesn't stop investigation.

We told them, don't privatise power sector but some Jonathan asslickers said government has no business being in business. Must everything be business? What happened to social responsibility of the government?
Now, power sector was privatised. And even if power is generated by the GENCOS, their sister which is DISCOS are not ready to receiving and distribute it because they don't have money to pay for adequate power being received from the GENCOS grin grin grin. What a messed up situation

What heartless and careless parents.

How can your children leave your peripheral vision without you calling out to know where they are?

Monitor your children.

Gone are the days when parents felt safe enough to yell..." lo sere nita"..."go and play outside" without fearing the worst.

11am to 4pm inside this heat

And nobody in the neighbourhood saw or heard the cries of these babies?

So sad😡

Learned to read and comprehend. They searched for them but just didn't know it was inside the overlooked abandoned car they were.

This is a genius! His intelligence is inborn. Not necessarily about his secondary school. Though the school may have tried. The sad truth is, at the end, the Western world will benefit from the intelligence of this Nigerian more than Nigeria itself. That's the sad reality of the Nigerian State. Definitely, he is going to either Harvard or Brown University for the computational physics, which has no bearing with Nigeria, as our economy is not structured to accommodate that kind of skill.

If he doesn't grab the opportunity, Nigerian society will make him fade away. But I have to trust his parents/guardians/teachers on that anyway.
Nigeria is a country where those who are naturally supposed to be doctors and nurses end up becoming bus conductors or at best given Agric courses or Zoology while the below average students end up becoming Medics and doctors

My point is that we want quick fix. We don't want any responsibility or sacrifice from our side. So our best hands suddenly become evil to us when they bring out policies that we pay in future.

Eg. Madam. Gèlè suggest that custom duty on vehicle imported to the country be increased. It was a fantastic policy that we favour us if we can stick to it for 4 to 5 years. But we are not ready for such sacrifice and we sabotaged it and call them names.

You want them to increase duty on vehicles again? Do you even have an idea the amount of duty being paid on each vehicle as at today? Laughing

Even Gej was a good man but we rubbish him and that continues till this day

angry... Not that im defending these Chinese people, but I've been to China and I know their tradition, Chinese people are extremely discreet, they don't like sharing anything with you. That's why they live in clusters, Chinatown. You hardly see Chinese people intermingle with commoners. And they do it to everyone including Europeans not just blacks alone. I think it's an Asian thing.
I believe why the restricted Nigerians there is fear of their safety, because from the report it started January this year and it was this January that dollars started skyrocketing and food stuffs increased astronomically. So they feared that Nigerians might want to loot their shops or do something sinister to them..

And yet, their residential and business buildings are on Nigeria soils grin grin grin. You lack common sense

It is called Chinese supermarket for a reason. In America they have Chinatown that is exclusively for the Chinese and their culture.

I believe there are ebeano, blenco and many more indigenous supermarkets in Abuja why not patronize it.

He didn't say anything that justifies the humongous fees.

That's about $35,000 for primary education. It's ridiculous, regardless of the supposed value they provide.

You can't compare the cost of running this type of institution in Nigeria to that of the UK.

Here, you get cheaper human resources, cheaper facilities, cheaper fuel, to mention a few.
