@lizcom and bloggerina

We see, read and interpret things differently,I wud refer not be answered than for someone to tell me read everything. For me It means u no fit read, abeg we no get time. I believe everyone here is busy, I work 8-5 daily and some wkends too + house work and 3 boys. If I took time to read thru it is cos I ve got the time to do that cos am still planning. So it is nt about how busy we are or how not busy bt how urgent an answer is needed. My friend that introduced me to nairaland started following the thread few days to her interview, where is the time to read thru everything. I ve a colleague in new Jersey right now, she went without having any clue and she didn't know abt this thread until 3 days ago, so if I ve info on new jersey hospitals I can point some pages out to her, it ll heavy my mouth to tell her to read everything when I know she needs the info urgently. That my point o.

And thanks phema am good

@phema, when I wrote this, I didn't ve a name in mind, I jt noticed that some pple point out pages for.pple to read which I think is better than telling someone to read everything . Maybe u sud go thru all pages too to see that many pple ve said that. It is not abt you, am jt making a point .
Am a mother of 3 boys with a very demanding husband without a single maid for more than 3 yes now, but I read thru the entire thread BT not everyone can do that. Some need urgent answers.

[quote author=Santa2]This thread is one of the most matured and resourceful threads on NL. From reading from page 1 to now any one would know that both MIHS and Del Sol are great hospitals. Maybe both hospitals get agents to market for them, may they do not. I do not know and I do not think it really is much of an issue because at the end of the day, our decision on the choice of a hospital would not only be based on ' just some agent' but on extensive research, testimonials (trust me u can tell a real testimonial from a fake over time),power of your pocket amongst other things.

We all have our reason for doing what we do even the agents(if there are). All these things na distractions cos let's face it, as with everything in life.

Nothing is cast in stone, if it were by the type of hospital Micheal Jackson would still be alive today and maybe Joan Rivers too. Let's just keep praying to God (or whatever deity we believe in) that our choices are the right ones and that our experiences would be grande

Tnx santa2
I tire o. The first time I came on the thread, it was serious misunderstand at this same agent issue. I think once a point is made, the normal discuss should continue. We have been on this issue since morning or afternoon leaving mode important things aside. What if the night Nigeria lady is not an agent and she made a mistake with what she wrote and what if she is an agent? Pls I think we sud move on cos I still ve a lot to learn and jot down.

And for those who insult people stylishly here, diaries God and na 3d God dey use watch unable. My opinion Pls, u don't ve to respond to questions if u don't wish to instead of saying read pages 1-168, ki lo de? No be by force to answer questions O, No be everybody get time to dey read like that na. And to those who took their time to help out , may the good Lord bless u. If we knew everything, nobody go dey here. Pls moving forward....

More than 740 exposed to TB in El Paso nursery

EL PASO, Texas -- More than 700 patients and 40 employees were exposed to an employee in a West Texas hospital nursery who had an active case of tuberculosis, the El Paso Department of Public Health says.

The exposure took place over a period of about a year, from September 2013 through last month, when the employee of Providence Memorial Hospital tested positive for TB and was placed on leave.

The hospital is working closely with the health department to determine which infants and employees may have been exposed. The families of each patient will be contacted by phone and certified letter with screening instructions for their babies, health officials say.

So far, 706 patients and 43 exposed employees have been identified, the department says. The post-exposure screenings and follow-up will be provided free through the DPH and the hospital. Public Health officials are working with state officials and the federal Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) to facilitate the screenings.

Tuberculosis can be spread when a person with active TB coughs or sneezes, releasing secretion droplets with the germs into the air, explains CBS El Paso affiliate KDBC-TV. However, TB isn't highly contagious and generally requires close contact over an extended period of time to spread.

Once in the body, KDBC says, the bacteria usually lay dormant for months or years before they begin to grow and cause an active case of TB. That's is why it's so important to identify people who may have been exposed, screen them, and provide treatment that can prevent them from developing active TB. Only those with active TB can spread it to others.

The hospital says it will work with federal authorities to show its procedures were adequate.

A Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services deputy regional administrator, David Wright, says an inspection of the hospital by regulators revealed several violations. He says the violations could threaten the hospital's Medicare funding and posed "an immediate jeopardy to patient safety."

Providence Memorial spokeswoman Audrey Garcia says hospital officials look forward to collaborating with CMS to prove their actions were effective.

hello beautiful parents. I have been a silent follower of this forum for some months now (running to 18months) b/cos I had to read from page 0 - 146 and also because I lost my pregnancy last year and lost interest. I intend to discontinue my family planning this month and I renewed my visa last week Friday. I have some questions for the mamas,

1. Do I need to inform the embassy of my intentions once am pregnant
2. My husband wants me to travel @ 5months which I don't think is possible cos of my work
3. When is the best time to travel ( this is my 5th Pregnancy) and ve had complications in the past coupled in serious ruptured ectopic pregnancy last year.

Thank you
